1Und wie sie herankommen gegen Jerusalem und gegen Bethania beim Oelberg, schickt er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab,
2und sagt zu ihnen: gehet hin in das Dorf euch gegenüber, und sobald ihr hineinkommt, werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen ist: das bindet los und bringt es her.
3Und wenn jemand zu euch sagt: was thut ihr da? so sagt: der Herr bedarf seiner, er schickt es gleich wieder hierher zurück.
4Und sie giengen hin und fanden das Füllen gebunden bei der Thüre außen gegen die Gasse, und machen es los.
5Und etliche von den Umstehenden sagten zu ihnen: was macht ihr da, daß ihr das Füllen losbindet?
6Sie aber sagten zu ihnen, wie Jesus sie angewiesen: und sie ließen sie machen.
7Und sie bringen das Füllen zu Jesus, und legten ihre Oberkleider darauf, und er setzte sich darauf.
8Und viele breiteten ihre Kleider auf den Weg, andere aber grüne Büschel, die sie aus den Feldern abhieben.
9Und die vorausgiengen sowohl als die nachfolgten, riefen alle: Hosianna, gesegnet sei der da kommt im Namen des Herrn.
10Gesegnet sei das Reich unseres Vaters David, das da kommt; Hosianna in der Höhe.
11Und er gieng hinein nach Jerusalem in den Tempel; und nachdem er sich überall umgesehen, da es schon spät an der Zeit war, gieng er hinaus nach Bethania mit den Zwölf.
12Und am folgenden Tage als sie von Bethania ausgezogen, hungerte ihn.
13Und er sah von weitem einen Feigenbaum, der Blätter hatte, und trat herzu, ob er etwas auf demselben finde, und wie er hinkam, fand er nichts als Blätter; denn es war nicht die Zeit der Feigen.
14Und er hob an und sprach zu ihm: nie mehr in Ewigkeit soll jemand von dir Frucht essen. Und seine Jünger hörten es.
15Und sie kommen nach Jerusalem. Und als er in den Tempel eingetreten, fieng er an auszutreiben die im Tempel verkauften und kauften, und warf die Tische der Wechsler sowie die Bänke der Taubenverkäufer um,
16und ließ niemand ein Gefäß durch den Tempel tragen,
17und er lehrte sie also: steht nicht geschrieben: mein Haus soll ein Bethaus heißen bei allen Völkern? Ihr aber habt es zur Räuberhöhle gemacht.
18Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten hörten es und sannen wie sie ihn umbrächten; denn sie fürchteten ihn; denn alles Volk war betroffen über seine Lehre.
19Und wann es Abend wurde, pflegten sie aus der Stadt hinauszugehen.
20Und als sie früh Morgens vorbeizogen, sahen sie den Feigenbaum verdorrt von der Wurzel an.
21Und Petrus erinnerte sich und sagte zu ihm: Rabbi, siehe der Feigenbaum, den du verflucht hast, ist verdorrt.
22Und Jesus antwortete und sagt zu ihnen: habet Glauben an Gott.
23Wahrlich ich sage euch, wer zu diesem Berge sagt: hebe dich weg und stürze ins Meer, und nicht zweifelt in seinem Herzen, sondern glaubt, daß, was er spricht, geschieht, dem wird es zu teil werden.
24Darum sage ich euch: alles, um was ihr betet und bittet, glaubet nur, daß ihr es empfangen, so wird es euch werden.
25Und wenn ihr euch zum Gebete stellt, so vergebet, was ihr gegen irgend jemand habt, damit auch euer Vater in den Himmeln euch eure Uebertretungen vergebe.
26Wenn aber ihr nicht vergebet, wird auch euer Vater in den Himmeln eure Uebertretung nicht vergeben.
27Und sie kommen wieder nach Jerusalem, und als er im Tempel herumgieng, treten zu ihm die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten und die Aeltesten,
28und sagten zu ihm: in welcher Vollmacht thust du das? oder wer hat dir diese Vollmacht gegeben, das zu thun?
29Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: ich will euch etwas fragen; antwortet mir, so will ich euch sagen, in welcher Vollmacht ich dies thue.
30War die Taufe des Johannes vom Himmel oder von Menschen? antwortet mir.
31Und sie überlegten bei sich selbst; sagen wir: vom Himmel, so sagt er: warum habt ihr ihm nicht geglaubt?
32Aber sollen wir sagen: von Menschen? da fürchteten sie das Volk, denn alles hielt von Johannes, daß er wirklich ein Prophet sei.
33Und sie antworteten Jesus: wir wissen es nicht. Und Jesus sagt zu ihnen: so sage ich euch auch nicht, in welcher Vollmacht ich dies thue.

1Y COMO fueron cerca de Jerusalem, de Bethphagé, y de Bethania, al monte de las Olivas, envía dos de sus discípulos,
2Y les dice: Id al lugar que está delante de vosotros, y luego entrados en él, hallaréis un pollino atado, sobre el cual ningún hombre ha subido; desatadlo y traedlo.
3Y si alguien os dijere: ¿Por qué hacéis eso? decid que el Señor lo ha menester: y luego lo enviará acá.
4Y fueron, y hallaron el pollino atado á la puerta fuera, entre dos caminos; y le desataron.
5Y unos de los que estaban allí, les dijeron: ¿Qué hacéis desatando el pollino?
6Ellos entonces les dijeron como Jesús había mandado: y los dejaron.
7Y trajeron el pollino á Jesús, y echaron sobre él sus vestidos, y se sentó sobre él.
8Y muchos tendían sus vestidos por el camino, y otros cortaban hojas de los árboles, y las tendían por el camino.
9Y los que iban delante, y los que iban detrás, daban voces diciendo: ¡Hosanna! Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor.
10Bendito el reino de nuestro padre David que viene: ¡Hosanna en las alturas!
11Y entró Jesús en Jerusalem, y en el templo: y habiendo mirado alrededor todas las cosas, y siendo ya tarde, salióse á Bethania con los doce.
12Y el día siguiente, como salieron de Bethania, tuvo hambre.
13Y viendo de lejos una higuera que tenía hojas, se acercó, si quizá hallaría en ella algo: y como vino á ella, nada halló sino hojas; porque no era tiempo de higos.
14Entonces Jesús respondiendo, dijo á la higuera: Nunca más coma nadie fruto de ti para siempre. Y lo oyeron sus discípulos.
15Vienen, pues, á Jerusalem; y entrando Jesús en el templo, comenzó á echar fuera á los que vendían y compraban en el templo; y trastornó las mesas de los cambistas, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas;
16Y no consentía que alguien llevase vaso por el templo.
17Y les enseñaba diciendo: ¿No está escrito que mi casa, casa de oración será llamada por todas las gentes? Mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.
18Y lo oyeron los escribas y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y procuraban cómo le matarían; porque le tenían miedo, por cuanto todo el pueblo estaba maravillado de su doctrina.
19Mas como fué tarde, Jesús salió de la ciudad.
20Y pasando por la mañana, vieron que la higuera se había secado desde las raíces.
21Entonces Pedro acordándose, le dice: Maestro, he aquí la higuera que maldijiste, se ha secado.
22Y respondiendo Jesús, les dice: Tened fe en Dios.
23Porque de cierto os digo que cualquiera que dijere á este monte: Quítate, y échate en la mar, y no dudare en su corazón, mas creyere que será hecho lo que dice, lo que dijere le será hecho.
24Por tanto, os digo que todo lo que orando pidiereis, creed que lo recibiréis, y os vendrá.
25Y cuando estuviereis orando, perdonad, si tenéis algo contra alguno, para que vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdone también á vosotros vuestras ofensas.
26Porque si vosotros no perdonareis, tampoco vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdonará vuestras ofensas.
27Y volvieron á Jerusalem; y andando él por el templo, vienen á él los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y los ancianos;
28Y le dicen: ¿Con qué facultad haces estas cosas? ¿y quién te ha dado esta facultad para hacer estas cosas?
29Y Jesús respondiendo entonces, les dice: Os preguntaré también yo una palabra; y respondedme, y os diré con qué facultad hago estas cosas:
30El bautismo de Juan, ¿era del cielo, ó de los hombres? Respondedme.
31Entonces ellos pensaron dentro de sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos, del cielo, dirá: ¿Por qué, pues, no le creísteis?
32Y si dijéremos, de los hombres, tememos al pueblo: porque todos juzgaban de Juan, que verdaderamente era profeta.
33Y respondiendo, dicen á Jesús: No sabemos. Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dice: Tampoco yo os diré con qué facultad hago estas cosas.

1And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
4And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
7And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
8And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
19And when even was come, he went out of the city.
20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
World English Bible
1When they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples
2and said to them, “Go your way into the village that is opposite you. Immediately as you enter into it, you will find a young donkey tied, on which no one has sat. Untie him and bring him.
3If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs him;’ and immediately he will send him back here.”
4They went away, and found a young donkey tied at the door outside in the open street, and they untied him.
5Some of those who stood there asked them, “What are you doing, untying the young donkey?”
6They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
7They brought the young donkey to Jesus and threw their garments on it, and Jesus sat on it.
8Many spread their garments on the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.
9Those who went in front and those who followed cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
10Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
11Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
13Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it.
15They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
16He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
17He taught, saying to them, “Isn’t it written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers!”
18The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
19When evening came, he went out of the city.
20As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
21Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”
22Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
23For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
24Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
25Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”
27They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him,
28and they began saying to him, “By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”
29Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30The baptism of John—was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.”
31They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we should say, ‘From heaven;’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
32If we should say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all held John to really be a prophet.
33They answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
