1Und er brach auf von da und kommt in das Gebiet Judäas und des Landes jenseits des Jordan, und es strömen wieder Massen bei ihm zusammen, und er lehrte sie wieder wie er gewöhnt war.
2Und Pharisäer traten herzu und befragten ihn, ob es einem Manne erlaubt sei, seine Frau zu entlassen, ihn damit zu versuchen.
3Er aber antwortete ihnen: was hat euch Moses befohlen?
4Sie aber sagten: Moses hat gestattet einen Scheidebrief zu schreiben und zu entlassen.
5Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: eurer Herzenshärtigkeit wegen hat er euch dieses Gebot geschrieben.
6Aber vom Anfang der Schöpfung her, als Mann und Frau hat er sie geschaffen. -
7Darum wird ein Mensch seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen,
8und werden die zwei ein Fleisch sein, so sind es demnach nicht mehr zwei, sondern ein Fleisch.
9Was denn Gott zusammengefügt hat, soll ein Mensch nicht scheiden.
10Und zu Hause befragten ihn die Jünger wieder hierüber,
11und er sagt ihnen: wer seine Frau entläßt und heiratet eine andere, der bricht die Ehe an ihr;
12ebenso auch sie, wenn sie ihren Mann entläßt und einen anderen heiratet, bricht sie die Ehe.
13Und sie brachten Kinder zu ihm, daß er sie anrühre, die Jünger aber schalten die, welche sie brachten.
14Da es aber Jesus sah, ward er unwillig, und sagte zu ihnen: lasset die Kinder zu mir kommen, wehret ihnen nicht, denn solcher ist das Reich Gottes.
15Wahrlich, ich sage euch, wer das Reich Gottes nicht annimmt wie ein Kind, wird nimmermehr hineinkommen.
16Und er nahm sie in die Arme und segnete sie, indem er ihnen die Hände auflegte.
17Und da er hinauskam auf die Straße, lief einer herzu und fiel vor ihm auf die Knie, und befragte ihn: Guter Meister, was soll ich thun, um ewiges Leben zu ererben?
18Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: was nennst du mich gut? Niemand ist gut außer dem einen Gott.
19Die Gebote kennst du: du sollst nicht töten, nicht ehebrechen, nicht stehlen, nicht falsch zeugen, nicht berauben, deinen Vater und deine Mutter ehren.
20Er aber sagte zu ihm: Meister, das alles habe ich gehalten von meiner Jugend an.
21Jesus aber sah ihn an, und er faßte Liebe zu ihm und sagte ihm: eines fehlt dir noch; gehe hin, verkaufe was du hast, und gib es den Armen, so wirst du einen Schatz im Himmel haben, und dann komm und folge mir.
22Er aber wurde betrübt über das Wort, und gieng bekümmert davon; denn er war sehr vermöglich.
23Und Jesus sah sich um und sagt zu seinen Jüngern: wie schwer werden die Vermöglichen in das Reich Gottes eingehen.
24Die Jünger aber waren betroffen über seinen Reden. Jesus aber hob wieder an und sagt zu ihnen: Kinder, wie schwer ist es in das Reich Gottes einzugehen.
25Es ist leichter, daß ein Kamel durch ein Nadelöhr gehe, als daß ein Reicher in das Reich Gottes eingehe.
26Sie aber wurden ganz bestürzt und sagten zu ihm: wer kann dann gerettet werden?
27Jesus sah sie an und sagt: bei Menschen ist es unmöglich, aber nicht bei Gott; denn alles ist möglich bei Gott.
28Es fieng Petrus an zu ihm zu sagen: siehe wir haben alles verlassen, und sind dir gefolgt.
29Sagte Jesus, wahrlich, ich sage euch, niemand hat Haus oder Brüder oder Schwestern oder Mutter oder Vater oder Kinder oder Aecker verlassen um meinet- und des Evangeliums willen,
30der nicht hundertmal mehr bekäme, jetzt in dieser Zeit Häuser und Brüder und Schwestern und Mütter und Kinder und Aecker mit samt den Verfolgungen, und in der künftigen Welt ewiges Leben.
31Vielmal aber werden die ersten die letzten sein und die letzten die ersten.
32Sie waren aber auf dem Wege hinauf nach Jerusalem; Jesus gieng ihnen voran, es überwältigte sie. Die aber nachfolgten, thaten es in Furcht. Und er nahm wieder die Zwölf zu sich und hob an ihnen zu sagen von den Ereignissen, die ihm bevorstanden:
33Siehe, wir gehen hinauf nach Jerusalem, und der Sohn des Menschen wird den Hohenpriestern und den Schriftgelehrten ausgeliefert werden, und sie werden ihn zum Tode verurteilen und ihn den Heiden ausliefern;
34und sie werden ihn verspotten und ihn anspeien und ihn geißeln und töten, und nach drei Tagen wird er auferstehen.
35Und es kamen zu ihm Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne des Zebedäus, und sagten zu ihm: Meister, wir begehren, daß du uns gewährest, was wir bitten mögen.
36Er aber sagte zu ihnen: was wollt ihr von mir?
37Sie aber sagten zu ihm: verleihe uns, daß wir einer dir zur Rechten und einer dir zur Linken sitzen in deiner Herrlichkeit.
38Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: ihr wisset nicht, was ihr verlangt. Könnt ihr den Becher trinken, den ich trinke, oder euch mit der Taufe taufen lassen, mit der ich getauft werde?
39Sie aber sagten zu ihm: wir können es. Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: den Becher, den ich trinke, sollt ihr trinken, und mit der Taufe, mit der ich getauft werde, sollt ihr getauft werden.
40Das Sitzen aber zu meiner Rechten oder Linken zu verteilen kommt nicht mir zu, sondern es kommt denen zu, welchen es bereitet ist.
41Und da es die Zehn hörten, fiengen sie an unwillig zu werden über Jakobus und Johannes;
42und Jesus rief sie herbei und sagt zu ihnen: ihr wisset, daß die als die Herrscher der Völker gelten, sie unterjochen und ihre Großen sie vergewaltigen.
43Nicht also soll es bei euch sein; sondern wer groß werden will unter euch, der soll euer Diener sein;
44und wer unter euch der erste sein will, der soll der Knecht von allen sein.
45Denn auch der Sohn des Menschen ist nicht gekommen sich dienen zu lassen, sondern zu dienen und zu geben sein Leben zum Lösegeld für Viele.
46Und sie kommen nach Jericho; und da er aus Jericho herauszog mit seinen Jüngern und einer ansehnlichen Menge, saß der Sohn des Timäus, Bartimäus, ein Blinder als Bettler an der Straße.
47Und da er hörte, daß es Jesus der Nazarener sei, begann er zu rufen: Sohn Davids, Jesus, erbarme dich meiner.
48Und es schalten ihn viele, daß er schweige. Er aber rief um so lauter: Sohn Davids, erbarme dich meiner.
49Und Jesus stand still und sagte: ruft ihn herbei; und sie rufen den Blinden und sagen zu ihm: Sei getrost, stehe auf, er ruft dich.
50Er aber warf seinen Mantel weg, sprang auf und kam zu Jesus.
51Und Jesus redete ihn an: was willst du, daß ich dir thun soll? Der Blinde aber sagte zu ihm: Rabbuni, daß ich sehend werde.
52Und Jesus sagte zu ihm: gehe hin, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen. Und alsbald ward er sehend, und folgte ihm auf der Straße.

1Y PARTIÉNDOSE de allí, vino á los términos de Judea y tras el Jordán: y volvió el pueblo á juntarse á él; y de nuevo les enseñaba como solía.
2Y llegándose los Fariseos, le preguntaron, para tentarle, si era lícito al marido repudiar á su mujer.
3Mas él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿Qué os mandó Moisés?
4Y ellos dijeron: Moisés permitió escribir carta de divorcio, y repudiar.
5Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Por la dureza de vuestro corazón os escribió este mandamiento;
6Pero al principio de la creación, varón y hembra los hizo Dios.
7Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se juntará á su mujer.
8Y los que eran dos, serán hechos una carne: así que no son más dos, sino una carne.
9Pues lo que Dios juntó, no lo aparte el hombre.
10Y en casa volvieron los discípulos á preguntarle de lo mismo.
11Y les dice: Cualquiera que repudiare á su mujer, y se casare con otra, comete adulterio contra ella:
12Y si la mujer repudiare á su marido y se casare con otro, comete adulterio.
13Y le presentaban niños para que los tocase; y los discípulos reñían á los que los presentaban.
14Y viéndolo Jesús, se enojó, y les dijo: Dejad los niños venir, y no se lo estorbéis; porque de los tales es el reino de Dios.
15De cierto os digo, que el que no recibiere el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él.
16Y tomándolos en los brazos, poniendo las manos sobre ellos, los bendecía.
17Y saliendo él para ir su camino, vino uno corriendo, é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le preguntó: Maestro bueno, ¿qué haré para poseer la vida eterna?
18Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Por qué me dices bueno? Ninguno hay bueno, sino sólo uno, Dios.
19Los mandamientos sabes: No adulteres: No mates: No hurtes: No digas falso testimonio: No defraudes: Honra á tu padre y á tu madre.
20El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Maestro, todo esto he guardado desde mi mocedad.
21Entonces Jesús mirándole, amóle, y díjole: Una cosa te falta: ve, vende todo lo que tienes, y da á los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme, tomando tu cruz.
22Mas él, entristecido por esta palabra, se fué triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.
23Entonces Jesús, mirando alrededor, dice á sus discípulos: ¡Cuán difícilmente entrarán en el reino de Dios los que tienen riquezas!
24Y los discípulos se espantaron de sus palabras; mas Jesús respondiendo, les volvió á decir: ¡Hijos, cuán difícil es entrar en el reino de Dios, los que confían en las riquezas!
25Más fácil es pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja, que el rico entrar en el reino de Dios.
26Y ellos se espantaban más, diciendo dentro de sí: ¿Y quién podrá salvarse?
27Entonces Jesús mirándolos, dice: Para los hombres es imposible; mas para Dios, no; porque todas las cosas son posibles para Dios.
28Entonces Pedro comenzó á decirle: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todas las cosas, y te hemos seguido.
29Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no hay ninguno que haya dejado casa, ó hermanos, ó hermanas, ó padre, ó madre, ó mujer, ó hijos, ó heredades, por causa de mí y del evangelio,
30Que no reciba cien tantos ahora en este tiempo, casas, y hermanos, y hermanas, y madres, é hijos, y heredades, con persecuciones; y en el siglo venidero la vida eterna.
31Empero muchos primeros serán postreros, y postreros primeros.
32Y estaban en el camino subiendo á Jerusalem; y Jesús iba delante de ellos, y se espantaban, y le seguían con miedo: entonces volviendo á tomar á los doce aparte, les comenzó á decir las cosas que le habían de acontecer:
33He aquí subimos á Jerusalem, y el Hijo del hombre será entregado á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á los escribas, y le condenarán á muerte, y le entregarán á los Gentiles:
34Y le escarnecerán, y le azotarán, y escupirán en él, y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará.
35Entonces Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, se llegaron á él, diciendo: Maestro, querríamos que nos hagas lo que pidiéremos.
36Y él les dijo: ¿Qué queréis que os haga?
37Y ellos le dijeron: Danos que en tu gloria nos sentemos el uno á tu diestra, y el otro á tu siniestra.
38Entonces Jesús les dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís. ¿Podéis beber del vaso que yo bebo, ó ser bautizados del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado?
39Y ellos dijeron: Podemos. Y Jesús les dijo: A la verdad, del vaso que yo bebo, beberéis; y del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados.
40Mas que os sentéis á mi diestra y á mi siniestra, no es mío darlo, sino á quienes está aparejado.
41Y como lo oyeron los diez, comenzaron á enojarse de Jacobo y de Juan.
42Mas Jesús, llamándolos, les dice: Sabéis que los que se ven ser príncipes entre las gentes, se enseñorean de ellas, y los que entre ellas son grandes, tienen sobre ellas potestad.
43Mas no será así entre vosotros: antes cualquiera que quisiere hacerse grande entre vosotros, será vuestro servidor;
44Y cualquiera de vosotros que quisiere hacerse el primero, será siervo de todos.
45Porque el Hijo del hombre tampoco vino para ser servido, mas para servir, y dar su vida en rescate por muchos.
46Entonces vienen á Jericó: y saliendo él de Jericó y sus discípulos y una gran compañía, Bartimeo el ciego, hijo de Timeo, estaba sentado junto al camino mendigando.
47Y oyendo que era Jesús el Nazareno, comenzó á dar voces y decir: Jesús, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.
48Y muchos le reñían, que callase: mas él daba mayores voces: Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.
49Entonces Jesús parándose, mandó llamarle: y llaman al ciego, diciéndole: Ten confianza: levántate, te llama.
50El entonces, echando su capa, se levantó, y vino á Jesús.
51Y respondiendo Jesús, le dice: ¿Qué quieres que te haga? Y el ciego le dice: Maestro, que cobre la vista.
52Y Jesús le dijo: Ve, tu fe te ha salvado. Y luego cobró la vista, y seguía á Jesús en el camino.

1And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judæa by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
2And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
3And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
11And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
12And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
13And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
17And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
31But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
32And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,
33Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:
34And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
35And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.
36And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
37They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
38But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
39And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
40But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
41And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
42But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
43But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
44And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
45For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
46And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.
47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

1He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.
2Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”
3He answered, “What did Moses command you?”
4They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”
5But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.
6But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.
7For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,
8and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
10In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.
11He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
12If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
13They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
14But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.
15Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
16He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
17As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
18Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.
19You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’”
20He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”
21Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”
22But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.
23Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!”
24The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!
25It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
26They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”
27Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

32They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.
33“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.
34They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”
35James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”
36He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”
37They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your glory.”
38But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”
39They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;
40but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”
41When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.
42Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
43But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.
44Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all.
45For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
46They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.
47When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
48Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
49Jesus stood still and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”
50He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
51Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, that I may see again.”
52Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
