E partitosi da quel luogo, andrai confini della Giudea di là dal Giordano: e si radunaron di nuovo in torno a lui le turbe: e di nuovo al suo solito le istruiva.

Y PARTIÉNDOSE de allí, vino á los términos de Judea y tras el Jordán: y volvió el pueblo á juntarse á él; y de nuevo les enseñaba como solía.

And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judæa by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.

E accostatisi i Farisei gli domandavano, per tentarlo: Se fosse lecito al marito di ripudiare la moglie.

Y llegándose los Fariseos, le preguntaron, para tentarle, si era lícito al marido repudiar á su mujer.

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

Ma egli rispose, e disse loro: Che ha comandato a voi Mosè?

Mas él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿Qué os mandó Moisés?

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

He answered, “What did Moses command you?”

Ripigliaron essi: Mosè ha per messo di scrivere il libello del ripudio, e rimandarla.

Y ellos dijeron: Moisés permitió escribir carta de divorcio, y repudiar.

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”

E Gesù rispose loro, e disse: A riguardo della durezza del vostro cuore dette egli a voi questo precetto.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Por la dureza de vuestro corazón os escribió este mandamiento;

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

Ma al principio della creazione Dio formò l'uomo maschio, e femmina.

Pero al principio de la creación, varón y hembra los hizo Dios.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.

Per questo abbandonerà l'uomo il padre, e la madre, e starà unito a sua moglie:

Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se juntará á su mujer.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,

E i due saranno una sola carne. Per la qual cosa già non son due, ma una sola carne.

Y los que eran dos, serán hechos una carne: así que no son más dos, sino una carne.

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Non divida pertanto l'uomo quel, che Dio ha congiunto.

Pues lo que Dios juntó, no lo aparte el hombre.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

E in casa di nuovo i suoi discepoli lo interrogarono sopra la medesima cosa.

Y en casa volvieron los discípulos á preguntarle de lo mismo.

And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.

Ed egli disse loro: Chiunque rimanderà la sua moglie, e ne prenderà un'altra, commette adulterio contro di essa.

Y les dice: Cualquiera que repudiare á su mujer, y se casare con otra, comete adulterio contra ella:

And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

E se la moglie ripudia il marito, e ne sposa un altro, commette adulterio.

Y si la mujer repudiare á su marido y se casare con otro, comete adulterio.

And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

E li presentavan dei fanciullini, affinchè li toccasse: ma i discepoli sgridavano coloro, che glieli presentavano.

Y le presentaban niños para que los tocase; y los discípulos reñían á los que los presentaban.

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.

La qual cosa avendo veduto Gesù, ne fu altamente disgustato, e disse loro: Lasciate, che i piccoli vengano da me, e nol vietate loro: imperocché di questi tali è il regno di Dio.

Y viéndolo Jesús, se enojó, y les dijo: Dejad los niños venir, y no se lo estorbéis; porque de los tales es el reino de Dios.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.

In verità vi dico, che chiunque non riceverà il regno di Dio come fanciullo, non entrerà in esso.

De cierto os digo, que el que no recibiere el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

E stringendoseli al seno, e imponendo loro le mani, li benediceva.

Y tomándolos en los brazos, poniendo las manos sobre ellos, los bendecía.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

E nell'uscir, che faceva per mettersi in viaggio, corse da lui un tale, e inginocchiatosi gli domandò: Maestro buono, che farò per acquistare la vita eterna?

Y saliendo él para ir su camino, vino uno corriendo, é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le preguntó: Maestro bueno, ¿qué haré para poseer la vida eterna?

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

Ma Gesù gli disse: Perché mi chiami buono? Nissun buono, fuori di Dio solo.

Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Por qué me dices bueno? Ninguno hay bueno, sino sólo uno, Dios.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.

Tu sai i comandamenti: non commettere adulterio, non ammazzare, non derubare, non dire il falso testimonio, non far danno a nissuno, onora il padre, e la madre.

Los mandamientos sabes: No adulteres: No mates: No hurtes: No digas falso testimonio: No defraudes: Honra á tu padre y á tu madre.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’”

Ma quegli rispose, e disseti: Maestro, tutte queste cose le ho osservate sin dalla mia giovinezza.

El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Maestro, todo esto he guardado desde mi mocedad.

And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”

E Gesù miratolo, gli mostrò affetto, e gli disse: Una cosa sola ti manca: va', vendi, quanto hai, e dallo a' poveri, e avrai un tesoro nel cielo: e vieni, e sieguimi.

Entonces Jesús mirándole, amóle, y díjole: Una cosa te falta: ve, vende todo lo que tienes, y da á los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme, tomando tu cruz.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

A questa parola rattristatosi colui, se ne andò sconsolato: perché aveva molte possessioni.

Mas él, entristecido por esta palabra, se fué triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.

E Gesù, dato intorno uno sguardo, disse a' suoi discepoli: Quanto è difficile, che i ricchi entrino nel regno di Dio!

Entonces Jesús, mirando alrededor, dice á sus discípulos: ¡Cuán difícilmente entrarán en el reino de Dios los que tienen riquezas!

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!”

E i discepoli restavano stupefatti di sue parole. Ma Gesù di nuovo disse loro: Figliuolini, quanto è difficile, che entrino nel regno di Dio que', che pongon, fidanza nelle ricchezze!

Y los discípulos se espantaron de sus palabras; mas Jesús respondiendo, les volvió á decir: ¡Hijos, cuán difícil es entrar en el reino de Dios, los que confían en las riquezas!

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!

E più facile a un cammello il passare per la cruna di un ago, che ad un ricco l'entrare nel regno di Dio.

Más fácil es pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja, que el rico entrar en el reino de Dios.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”

Ed essi restavano sempre più stupefatti, e dicevansi l'un l'altro: E chi può esser salvo?

Y ellos se espantaban más, diciendo dentro de sí: ¿Y quién podrá salvarse?

And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”

E Gesù miratili, disse loro: Per gli uomini questo è impossibile, ma non per Iddio: imperocché ogni cosa è possibile a Dio.

Entonces Jesús mirándolos, dice: Para los hombres es imposible; mas para Dios, no; porque todas las cosas son posibles para Dios.

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

E Pietro prese a dirgli: Ecco che noi abbiam lasciato tutte le cose, e ti abbiam seguitato.

Entonces Pedro comenzó á decirle: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todas las cosas, y te hemos seguido.

Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

Peter began to tell him, “Behold, we have left all and have followed you.”

Rispose Gesù, e disse: In verità vi dico, che non v'ha alcuno, il quale abbia abbandonato la casa, o i fratelli, o le sorelle, o il padre, o la madre, o i figliuoli, o le possessioni per me, e pel Vangelo,

Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no hay ninguno que haya dejado casa, ó hermanos, ó hermanas, ó padre, ó madre, ó mujer, ó hijos, ó heredades, por causa de mí y del evangelio,

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,

Che non riceva il centuplo, adesso in questo tempo in case, e fratelli, e sorelle, e madri, e figliuoli, e possessioni in mezzo alle persecuzioni, e nel secolo avvenire la vita eterna.

Que no reciba cien tantos ahora en este tiempo, casas, y hermanos, y hermanas, y madres, é hijos, y heredades, con persecuciones; y en el siglo venidero la vida eterna.

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

Ma molti de' primi saranno ultimi, e degli ultimi (saran) primi.

Empero muchos primeros serán postreros, y postreros primeros.

But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Ed erano in viaggio verso Gerusalemme: e Gesù li precedeva, e si stupivano: e lo seguivano timorosi. E presi a parte di nuovo i dodici, cominciò a dir loro le cose, che dovevano accadergli.

Y estaban en el camino subiendo á Jerusalem; y Jesús iba delante de ellos, y se espantaban, y le seguían con miedo: entonces volviendo á tomar á los doce aparte, les comenzó á decir las cosas que le habían de acontecer:

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,

They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.

Ecco che andiamo a Gerusalemme, e il Figliuolo dell'uomo sarà dato nelle mani de' principi de' sacerdoti, e degli Scribi, e de' seniori, e lo condanneranno a morte, e lo consegneranno a' Gentili:

He aquí subimos á Jerusalem, y el Hijo del hombre será entregado á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á los escribas, y le condenarán á muerte, y le entregarán á los Gentiles:

Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.

E questi lo scherniranno, e gli sputeranno addosso, e lo flagelleranno, e lo uccideranno: ed egli resusciterà il terzo giorno.

Y le escarnecerán, y le azotarán, y escupirán en él, y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará.

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”

E si accostarono a lui Giacomo, e Giovanni figliuoli di Zebedeo, dicendo: Maestro, vogliamo, che, qualunque cosa domanderemo, tu a noi la conceda.

Entonces Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, se llegaron á él, diciendo: Maestro, querríamos que nos hagas lo que pidiéremos.

And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”

Ed egli disse loro: Che bramate voi, che io vi conceda?

Y él les dijo: ¿Qué queréis que os haga?

And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?

He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Risposero: Concedici, che uno di noi seggia alla tua destra, e l'altro alla tua sinistra nella tua gloria.

Y ellos le dijeron: Danos que en tu gloria nos sentemos el uno á tu diestra, y el otro á tu siniestra.

They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your glory.”

Ma Gesù disse loro: Non sapete quello, che domandate: Potete voi bere il calice, ch'io bevo; o esser battezzati col battesimo, ond'io son battezzato?

Entonces Jesús les dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís. ¿Podéis beber del vaso que yo bebo, ó ser bautizados del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado?

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

E quelli replicarongli: Si che possiamo. Ma Gesù disse loro: Voi berrete veramente il calice, ch'io bevo; e sarete battezzati col battesimo, ond'io son battezzato:

Y ellos dijeron: Podemos. Y Jesús les dijo: A la verdad, del vaso que yo bebo, beberéis; y del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados.

And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;

Ma il sedere alla mia destra, o alla mia sinistra non ispetta a me di concederlo a voi; ma a coloro, pe' quali è stato preparato.

Mas que os sentéis á mi diestra y á mi siniestra, no es mío darlo, sino á quienes está aparejado.

But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”

E udito questo, i dieci si disgustarono con Giacomo, e Giovanni.

Y como lo oyeron los diez, comenzaron á enojarse de Jacobo y de Juan.

And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.

When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.

Ma Gesù chiamatigli a se, disse loro: Voi sapete, che quelli, che son tenuti per principi delle nazioni, esercitano dominio sopra di esse: e i loro magnati hanno podestà sopra di esse.

Mas Jesús, llamándolos, les dice: Sabéis que los que se ven ser príncipes entre las gentes, se enseñorean de ellas, y los que entre ellas son grandes, tienen sobre ellas potestad.

But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

Non così però va la bisogna tra di voi; ma chiunque vorrà diventar maggiore, sarà vostro servo:

Mas no será así entre vosotros: antes cualquiera que quisiere hacerse grande entre vosotros, será vuestro servidor;

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

E chiunque di voi vorrà esser primo, sarà servo di tutti.

Y cualquiera de vosotros que quisiere hacerse el primero, será siervo de todos.

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all.

Imperocché anche il Figliuolo dell'uomo non è venuto per esser servito, ma per servire, e per dare la sua vita in redenzione di molti.

Porque el Hijo del hombre tampoco vino para ser servido, mas para servir, y dar su vida en rescate por muchos.

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

E arrivarono a Gerico, e nel partire di Gerico co' suoi discepoli, e con gran moltitudine di gente, Bartimeo cieco figliuolo di Timeo sedeva nella strada, chiedendo la limosina.

Entonces vienen á Jericó: y saliendo él de Jericó y sus discípulos y una gran compañía, Bartimeo el ciego, hijo de Timeo, estaba sentado junto al camino mendigando.

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.

They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

Il quale avendo sentito dire, egli è Gesù Nazareno, cominciò a sclamare, dicendo: Gesù figliuolo di Davidde, abbi pietà di me.

Y oyendo que era Jesús el Nazareno, comenzó á dar voces y decir: Jesús, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

E molti lo minacciavano, perché tacesse. Ma egli gridava più forte: Figliuolo di Davidde, abbi pietà di me.

Y muchos le reñían, que callase: mas él daba mayores voces: Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

E Gesù soffermatosi lo fece chiamare. E chiamarono il cieco, dicendogli: Sta' di buon animo: alzati, egli ti chiama.

Entonces Jesús parándose, mandó llamarle: y llaman al ciego, diciéndole: Ten confianza: levántate, te llama.

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

Jesus stood still and said, “Call him.” They called the blind man, saying to him, “Cheer up! Get up. He is calling you!”

E quegli, gettato via il suo mantello, saltò in piedi, e andò da Gesù.

El entonces, echando su capa, se levantó, y vino á Jesús.

And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.

E Gesù gli disse: Che vuoi, ch'io ti faccia? E il cieco dissegli: Maestro, ch'io vegga.

Y respondiendo Jesús, le dice: ¿Qué quieres que te haga? Y el ciego le dice: Maestro, que cobre la vista.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, that I may see again.”

Gesù disselli: Vattene, la tua fede ti ha salvato. E in quell'istante, vide, e lo seguì nel viaggio. Entra gloriosamente in Gerusalemme sopra il puledro di un'asina. Secca la ficaia maledicendola. Caccia dal tempio que’, che comperavano, e vendevano. Dimostra l'efficacia della speranza in Dio. Del perdonare al prossimo. Non vuol dire, agli Scribi, con qual potestà egli faccia certe cose, perchè eglino non rispondevano all'interrogazione fatta ad essi da lui intorno al battesimo di Giovanni.

Y Jesús le dijo: Ve, tu fe te ha salvado. Y luego cobró la vista, y seguía á Jesús en el camino.

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
