Mateo 4

Luego Jesús fue llevado por el Espíritu al desierto para ser tentado por el diablo.

ENTONCES Jesús fué llevado del Espíritu al desierto, para ser tentado del diablo.

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Cuando él hubo ayunado por cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, tuvo hambre.

Y habiendo ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, después tuvo hambre.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

El tentador vino y le dijo: "Si tú eres el Hijo de Dios, ordénale a estas piedras que se conviertan en pan".

Y llegándose á él el tentador, dijo: Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se hagan pan.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

Pero Jesús respondió y le dijo: "Escrito está, 'NO SOLO DE PAN VIVIRÁ EL HOMBRE, SINO DE TODA PALABRA QUE SALE DE LA BOCA DE DIOS.'"

Mas él respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No con solo el pan vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”

Luego el diablo lo llevó a la ciudad santa y lo puso en el punto más alto del templo,

Entonces el diablo le pasa á la santa ciudad, y le pone sobre las almenas del templo,

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,

y le dijo a él: "Si tú eres el Hijo de Dios, lánzate hacia abajo, pues escrito está: 'ÉL ORDENARÁ A SUS ÁNGELES A CUIDAR DE TI,' y, 'ELLOS TE LEVANTARÁN EN SUS MANOS, DE MANERA QUE NO GOLPEES TU PIE CONTRA UNA PIEDRA'"

Y le dice: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; que escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, y te alzarán en las manos, para que nunca tropieces con tu pie en piedra.

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”

Jesús le dijo: "Nuevamente escrito está: 'NO PONDRÁS A PRUEBA AL SEÑOR TU DIOS'".

Jesús le dijo: Escrito está además: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’”

Nuevamente, el diablo lo llevó a un lugar alto y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo junto con todo su esplendor.

Otra vez le pasa el diablo á un monte muy alto, y le muestra todos los reinos del mundo, y su gloria,

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

Él le dijo: "Todas estas cosas te daré, si te postras ante mí y me adoras."

Y dícele: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares.

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”

Entonces Jesús le dijo: "¡Vete de aquí, Satanás! Porque escrito está: 'ADORARÁS AL SEÑOR TU DIOS, Y SÓLO A EL SERVIRÁS'".

Entonces Jesús le dice: Vete, Satanás, que escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y á él solo servirás.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”

Entonces el diablo lo dejó, y entonces, vinieron ángeles y le sirvieron.

El diablo entonces le dejó: y he aquí los ángeles llegaron y le servían.

Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.

Cuando Jesús escuchó que a Juan lo habían arrestado, regresó a Galilea.

Mas oyendo Jesús que Juan era preso, se volvió á Galilea;

Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

Él salió de Nazaret y fue a vivir en Capernaúm, que está cerca del Mar de Galilea, en los territorios de Zabulón y de Neftalí.

Y dejando á Nazaret, vino y habitó en Capernaum, ciudad marítima, en los confines de Zabulón y de Nephtalim:

And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

Esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo que se había dicho a través del profeta Isaías:

Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

''¡LA TIERRA DE ZABULÓN Y LA TIERRA DE NEFTALÍ, CAMINO AL MAR, MAS ALLÁ DEL JORDÁN, GALILEA DE LOS GENTILES!

La tierra de Zabulón, y la tierra de Nephtalim, camino de la mar, de la otra parte del Jordán, Galilea de los Gentiles;

The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

LA GENTE QUE SE SENTO EN TINIEBLAS HAN VISTO UNA GRAN LUZ, Y AQUELLOS QUE SE SENTARON EN LA REGIÓN Y LA SOMBRA DE MUERTE, SOBRE ELLOS, LUZ SE LEVANTO.''

El pueblo asentado en tinieblas, vió gran luz; y á los sentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les esclareció.

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Desde ese tiempo Jesús comenzó a predicar y a decir: "Arrepiéntanse, pues el reino de los cielos se ha acercado."

Desde entonces comenzó Jesús á predicar, y á decir: Arrepentíos, que el reino de los cielos se ha acercado.

Mientras Él caminaba junto al mar de Galilea, vio a dos hermanos, Simón que es llamado Pedro, y su hermano Andrés, que lanzaban una red en el mar, pues eran pescadores.

Y andando Jesús junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á dos hermanos, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Jesús les dijo: "Vengan y síganme, y yo los haré pescadores de hombres".

Y díceles: Venid en pos de mí, y os haré pescadores de hombres.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

Inmediatamente ellos dejaron las redes y lo siguieron.

And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Mientras Jesús salía de allí él vio a otros dos hermanos, Jacobo el hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan, su hermano. Ellos estaban en la barca junto a su padre, Zebedeo; ellos estaban zurciendo sus redes. Él los llamó,

Y pasando de allí vió otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano, en el barco con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.

And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

y ellos inmediatamente dejaron la barca y a su padre, y lo siguieron.

And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

Jesús fue por toda Galilea, enseñando en sus sinagogas, predicando el evangelio del reino, sanando todo tipo de enfermedades y toda clase de dolencias entre la gente.

Y rodeó Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Las noticias acerca de Él se propagaron por toda Siria, y la gente le traían todos aquellos que estaban enfermos, con varias afecciones y dolores, aquellos poseídos por demonios, y los epilépticos y paralíticos. Jesús los sanaba.

Y corría su fama por toda la Siria; y le trajeron todos los que tenían mal: los tomados de diversas enfermedades y tormentos, y los endemoniados, y lunáticos, y paralíticos, y los sanó.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

Grandes multitudes le seguían desde Galilea, Decápolis, Jerusalén, Judea, y más allá del Jordán.

Y le siguieron muchas gentes de Galilea y de Decápolis y de Jerusalem y de Judea y de la otra parte del Jordán.

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
