Mateo 2

Essendo adunque nato Gesù in Betlemme di Giuda, regnante il re Erode, ecco che i Magi arrivarono dall'oriente a Gerusalemme.

Y COMO fué nacido Jesús en Bethlehem de Judea en días del rey Herodes, he aquí unos magos vinieron del oriente á Jerusalem,

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Dicendo: Dov' è il nato Re de' Giudei? imperocché abbiamo veduto la sua stella nell'oriente, e siamo venuti per adorarlo.

Diciendo: ¿Dónde está el Rey de los Judíos, que ha nacido? porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos á adorarle.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Sentite il re Erode tali cose si turbò, e con lui tutta Gerusalemme.

Y oyendo esto el rey Herodes, se turbó, y toda Jerusalem con él.

E adunati tutti i principi de' sacerdoti, e gli scribi del popolo, domandò loro, dove fosse per nascere il Cristo.

Y convocados todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo.

And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

Essi gli risposero: in Betlemme di Giuda: imperocché così è stato scritto dal Profeta.

E tu Betlemme, terra di Giuda, non se' la minima tra i cupi di Giuda: poiché da te uscirà il condottiere, che reggerà Israele mio popolo.

Y tú, Bethlehem, de tierra de Judá, no eres muy pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá; porque de ti saldrá un guiador, que apacentará á mi pueblo Israel.

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come a governor who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”

Allora Erode, chiamati segretamente a se i Magi, minutamente s'informò da loro, in qual tempo fosse lor comparsa la stella.

Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto á los magos, entendió de ellos diligentemente el tiempo del aparecimiento de la estrella;

Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

E mandandogli a Betlemme disse: Andate, e fate diligente ricerca di questo fanciullo: e quando l'abbiate trovato, fatemelo sapere, affinchè ancor io vada ad adorarlo.

Y enviándolos á Bethlehem, dijo: Andad allá, y preguntad con diligencia por el niño; y después que le hallareis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Quegli, udite le parole del re, si partirono: ed ecco che la stella veduta da loro in oriente andava loro davanti, fintantoché arrivata sopra del luogo, ove stava il bambino, fermossi.

Y ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron: y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente, iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se puso sobre donde estaba el niño.

When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

E veduta la stella sì riempirono di sopra grande allegrezza.

Y vista la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo.

Ed entrati nella casa trovarono il bambino con Maria sua madre: e prostratisi l'adorarono: e aperti i loro tesori gli offerirono i doni, oro, incenso, e mirra.

Y entrando en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, le adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron dones, oro é incienso y mirra.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Ed essendo stati in sogno avvertiti di non ripassar da Erode, per altra strada se ne ritornarono al loro paese.

Y siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen á Herodes, se volvieron á su tierra por otro camino.

And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Partiti che furon essi l'Angelo del Signore apparve in sogno a Giuseppe, e gli disse: Levati, prendi il bambino, e la sua madre, e fuggi in Egitto e fermati colà, fintantoché io ti avviserò. Imperocché Erode cercherà del bambino per farlo morire.

Y partidos ellos, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José, diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y huye á Egipto, y estáte allá hasta que yo te lo diga; porque ha de acontecer, que Herodes buscará al niño para matarlo.

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Ed ei svegliatosi prese il bambino, e la madre di notte tempo, e si ritirò in Egitto.

Y él despertando, tomó al niño y á su madre de noche, y se fué á Egipto;

E ivi si stette sino alla morte d'Erode, affinchè si adempisse, quanto era stato detto dal Signore pel Profeta, che dice: dall'Egitto ho chiamato il mio figlio.

Y estuvo allá hasta la muerte de Herodes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo: De Egipto llamé á mi Hijo.

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Allora Erode vedendosi burlato da' Magi s'adirò fortemente, e mandò ad uccidere tutti i fanciulli, che erano in Betlemme, e in tutti i suoi confini, dall'età di due anni in giù, secondo il tempo, che avea rilevato da' Magi.

Herodes entonces, como se vió burlado de los magos, se enojó mucho, y envió, y mató á todos los niños que había en Bethlehem y en todos sus términos, de edad de dos años abajo, conforme al tiempo que había entendido de los magos.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Allora si adempiì, quanto fu predetto dal profeta Geremia, che dice:

Una voce si è udita in Rama, gran pianti, e urli: Rachele piangente i suoi figli; né volle ammetter consolazione, perch'ei più non sono.

Voz fué oída en Ramá, grande lamentación, lloro y gemido: Rachêl que llora sus hijos; y no quiso ser consolada, porque perecieron.

In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; she wouldn’t be comforted, because they are no more.”

Morto Erode: ecco che l'Angelo del Signore apparve in sogno a Giuseppe in Egitto.

Mas muerto Herodes, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José en Egipto,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

E gli disse: Svegliati, prendi il fanciullo, e la madre di lui, e va' nella terra di Israele: imperocché sono morti coloro, che cercavano la vita del bambino.

Diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y vete á tierra de Israel; que muertos son los que procuraban la muerte del niño.

Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

“Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”

Ed egli svegliatosi prese il bambino, e la madre, e andò nella terra d'Israele.

Entonces él se levantó, y tomó al niño y á su madre, y se vino á tierra de Israel.

Ma avendo sentito, che Archelao regnava nella Giudea in luogo di Erode suo padre, temè d'andare colà: e avvertito in sogno si ritirò in Galilea.

Y oyendo que Archelao reinaba en Judea en lugar de Herodes su padre, temió ir allá: mas amonestado por revelación en sueños, se fué á las partes de Galilea.

But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,

Dove giunto abitò nella città chiamata Nazaret: affinchè si adempisse quello, ch'era stato predetto da' profeti: Ei sarà chiamato Nazareno. Giovanni Batista (di cui descrivesi l'austera vita) predica nel deserto la penitenza, secondo la predizione; e radunandosi da lui il popolo, riprende i Farisei, e i Sadducei, esortandogli a fare frutti degni di penitenza, e mostrando la differenza, che v' ha tra l' suo battesimo, e quello di Cristo. Sopra di Cristo battezzato da Giovanni discende lo Spirito santo, e si ode dal cielo la voce del Padre,

Y vino, y habitó en la ciudad que se llama Nazaret: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por los profetas, que había de ser llamado Nazareno.

And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
