Ils lui présentèrent à boire du vinaigre mêlé avec du fiel; mais quand il en eut goûté, il n'en voulut pas boire.

Le dieron á beber vinagre mezclado con hiel; y gustando, no quiso beberlo.

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

they gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.
