Entonces el reino de los cielos es como diez vírgenes que tomaron sus lámparas y fueron a encontrarse con el novio.

ENTONCES el reino de los cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Cinco de ellas fueron necias y cinco fueron sabias.

Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco fatuas.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

Pero cuando las vírgenes necias tomaron sus lámparas, ellas no tomaron ningún aceite con ellas.

Las que eran fatuas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron consigo aceite;

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

Pero las vírgenes sabias tomaron frascos de aceite juntamente con sus lámparas.

Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Mientras el novio estuvo retrasado, a todas ellas les dio sueño y se durmieron.

Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

Pero a medianoche hubo un clamor: '¡Miren, el novio! Salgan a encontrarse con él.'

Y á la media noche fué oído un clamor: He aquí, el esposo viene; salid á recibirle.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

Entonces todas las vírgenes se levantaron y arreglaron sus lámparas.

Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Las necias le dijeron a las sabias: 'Dennos algo de su aceite porque a nuestras lámparas se les está acabando.'

Y las fatuas dijeron á las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Pero las sabias contestaron diciendo: 'No habrá suficiente para nosotras y ustedes, vayan a los que venden y compren algo para ustedes mismas.'

Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id antes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Mientras ellas se fueron a comprar, el novio vino, y aquellas quienes estaban preparadas se fueron con él para la fiesta de matrimonio, y la puerta se cerró.

Y mientras que ellas iban á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él á las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

Luego de esto, las otras vírgenes también vinieron y dijeron: 'Maestro, maestro, ábrenos.'

Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

Pero Él contestó y dijo: Ciertamente les digo, yo no las conozco.

Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Velen pues, porque ustedes no saben el día ni la hora.

Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Es como un hombre que estaba a punto de ir a otro país. Él llamó a sus sirvientes y les entregó a ellos sus riquezas.

Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

A uno de ellos le entregó cinco talentos, a otro le entregó dos, y a otro le entregó un talento. Cada uno recibió una cantidad de acuerdo a su habilidad, y el hombre se fue a su viaje.

Y á éste dió cinco talentos, y al otro dos, y al otro uno: á cada uno conforme á su facultad; y luego se partió lejos.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

Inmediatamente el que recibió los cinco talentos fue y los invirtió y produjo otros cinco talentos.

Y el que había recibido cinco talentos se fué, y granjeó con ellos, é hizo otros cinco talentos.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Igualmente el que recibió dos talentos hizo otros dos.

Asimismo el que había recibido dos, ganó también él otros dos.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

Pero el sirviente que recibió un talento fue y cavó un hoyo en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

Mas el que había recibido uno, fué y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s money.

Ahora después de un largo tiempo el señor de esos sirvientes regresó y ajustó cuentas con ellos.

Y después de mucho tiempo, vino el señor de aquellos siervos, é hizo cuentas con ellos.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

El sirviente que había recibido cinco talentos vino y trajo otros cinco talentos, él dijo: 'Señor, tú me entregaste cinco talentos. Mira, Yo hice cinco talentos más.'

Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros cinco talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

Su señor le dijo: "¡Bien hecho, bueno y fiel sirviente! Tú has sido fiel sobre pocas cosas. Yo te pondré a ti a cargo sobre muchas cosas. Entra en el gozo de tu señor.'

Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

El sirviente que recibió dos talentos vino y dijo: 'Señor, tú me entregaste dos talentos. Mira, yo hice dos talentos más.

Y llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros dos talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

Su señor le contestó: '¡Bien hecho, bueno y fiel sirviente! Tú has sido fiel sobre pocas cosas. Yo te pondré a cargo de muchas cosas. Entra en el gozo de tu señor.'

Su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Entonces el sirviente quien recibió un talento vino y dijo: 'Señor, yo sé que tu eres un hombre estricto. Tú siegas donde no sembraste, y tú cosechas donde no esparciste.

Y llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste;

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.

Yo tuve miedo, así que fui y escondí tu talento en la tierra. Mira, tienes aquí lo que te pertenece.'

Y tuve miedo, y fuí, y escondí tu talento en la tierra: he aquí tienes lo que es tuyo.

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

Pero su señor le contestó diciendo: 'Tú malvado y vago sirviente, tú sabías que yo siego donde no sembré y cosecho donde no esparcí.

Y respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Malo y negligente siervo, sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí;

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

Entonces tú debiste darle mi dinero a los banqueros, y a mi regreso yo hubiera recibido mi dinero con intereses.

Por tanto te convenía dar mi dinero á los banqueros, y viniendo yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con usura.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

Por tanto quítenle el talento y entréguenlo al siervo que tiene diez talentos.

Quitadle pues el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take away therefore the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

Porque a todo el que posee, más se le entregará -aún más abundantemente. Pero aquellos quienes no poseen nada, aún, lo que poseen les será quitado.

Porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

Al sirviente inútil échenlo a las tinieblas de afuera, donde será el lloro y rechinar de dientes.'

Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Cuando el Hijo del Hombre venga en su gloria y todos los ángeles con Él, entonces Él se sentará en su trono glorioso.

Y cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará sobre el trono de su gloria.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

Delante de Él estarán reunidas todas las naciones, y Él separará la gente el uno del otro, como un pastor separa sus ovejas de las cabras.

Y serán reunidas delante de él todas las gentes: y los apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Él pondrá las ovejas a Su mano derecha, pero las cabras a Su izquierda.

Y pondrá las ovejas á su derecha, y los cabritos á la izquierda.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Entonces el Rey dirá a los que están a Su mano derecha: 'Vengan, ustedes quienes han sido bendecidos por Mi Padre, hereden el reino preparado para ustedes desde la fundación del mundo.

Entonces el Rey dirá á los que estarán á su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

Porque Yo tuve hambre y ustedes me dieron de comer; Yo tuve sed y ustedes me dieron de beber; Yo fui un extraño y ustedes me acogieron;

Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fuí huésped, y me recogisteis;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

Yo estuve desnudo, y ustedes Me vistieron; Yo estuve enfermo y ustedes me cuidaron; Yo estuve en prisión y vinieron a mí.

Desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis á mí.

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

Entonces los justos responderán y dirán: 'Señor, ¿cuándo Te vimos hambriento y Te alimentamos? ¿O sediento y Te dimos de beber?

Entonces los justos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos? ¿ó sediento, y te dimos de beber?

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Y ¿cuándo Te vimos como a un extraño, y Te acogimos? ¿O desnudo y Te vestimos?

¿Y cuándo te vimos huésped, y te recogimos? ¿ó desnudo, y te cubrimos?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

¿Y cuándo Te vimos enfermo, o en prisión, y vinimos a Ti?

¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y vinimos á ti?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Y el Rey contestará diciéndoles: Ciertamente Yo les digo, lo que hicieron por el más pequeño de mis hermanos aquí, a Mí lo hicieron.'

Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis á uno de estos mis hermanos pequeñitos, á mí lo hicisteis.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Entonces Él dirá a los que están a su mano izquierda: 'Apártense de Mí, ustedes malditos, al fuego eterno que ha sido preparado para el diablo y sus ángeles,

Entonces dirá también á los que estarán á la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y para sus ángeles:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

porque Yo tuve hambre pero ustedes no me alimentaron; Yo tuve sed pero no me dieron de beber,

Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

Yo fui extraño pero ustedes no me acogieron; desnudo pero no Me vistieron; enfermo y en prisión y no cuidaron de Mí.'

Fuí huésped, y no me recogisteis; desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Entonces ellos también responderán y dirán: Señor, ¿cuándo Te vimos hambriento, o sediento, o como extraño, o desnudo, o enfermo, o en prisión, y no Te servimos?'

Entonces también ellos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, ó sediento, ó huésped, ó desnudo, ó enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y no te servimos?

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

Entonces Él les contestará y dirá: 'Ciertamente les digo, lo que no hicieron por uno de estos menores, no lo hicieron por Mí.'

Entonces les responderá, diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis á uno de estos pequeñitos, ni á mí lo hicisteis.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

Éstos irán al castigo eterno, pero los justos a la vida eterna."

E irán éstos al tormento eterno, y los justos á la vida eterna.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
