Hierauf wird das Reich der Himmel gleich sein zehn Jungfrauen, die mit ihren Lampen zum Empfange des Bräutigams auszogen.

ENTONCES el reino de los cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Fünf aber von ihnen waren thöricht und fünf waren klug.

Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco fatuas.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

So nahmen denn die thörichten die Lampen, aber sie nahmen kein Oel mit.

Las que eran fatuas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron consigo aceite;

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

Die klugen aber nahmen Oel mit in den Gefäßen nebst ihren Lampen.

Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Als aber der Bräutigam zögerte, nickten sie alle ein und schliefen.

Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mitten in der Nacht aber entstand ein Geschrei: siehe da der Bräutigam, geht hinaus zum Empfang.

Y á la media noche fué oído un clamor: He aquí, el esposo viene; salid á recibirle.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

Hierauf wachten die Jungfrauen alle auf und richteten ihre Lampen.

Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Die thörichten aber sagten zu den klugen: gebt uns von eurem Oel, denn unsere Lampen verlöschen.

Y las fatuas dijeron á las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Die klugen aber antworteten: es möchte nicht reichen für uns und euch; gehet lieber hin zu den Verkäufern und kaufet euch.

Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id antes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Da sie aber hingiengen zu kaufen, kam der Bräutigam, und die bereit waren, zogen mit ihm ein zur Hochzeit, und die Thüre ward zugeschlossen.

Y mientras que ellas iban á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él á las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

Nachher aber kommen auch die übrigen Jungfrauen und sagen: Herr, Herr, öffne uns.

Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

Er aber antwortete: wahrlich, ich sage euch, ich kenne euch nicht.

Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

So wachet nun, weil ihr den Tag nicht wisset noch die Stunde.

Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Es ist wie bei einem Menschen, der verreiste, seine Knechte berief, und ihnen seine Habe übergab,

Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

und gab dem einen fünf Talente, dem andern zwei, dem dritten eines, jedem nach seiner Fähigkeit, und verreiste.

Y á éste dió cinco talentos, y al otro dos, y al otro uno: á cada uno conforme á su facultad; y luego se partió lejos.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

Alsobald gieng hin, der die fünf Talente bekommen, trieb sie um, und gewann weitere fünf.

Y el que había recibido cinco talentos se fué, y granjeó con ellos, é hizo otros cinco talentos.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Ebenso der die zwei erhalten, gewann weitere zwei.

Asimismo el que había recibido dos, ganó también él otros dos.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

Aber der das eine erhalten, gieng hin, scharrte die Erde auf und vergrub das Geld seines Herrn.

Mas el que había recibido uno, fué y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s money.

Lange Zeit darauf aber kommt der Herr jener Knechte und hält Rechnung mit ihnen.

Y después de mucho tiempo, vino el señor de aquellos siervos, é hizo cuentas con ellos.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

Und der die fünf Talente erhalten hatte, kam herbei und brachte fünf weitere Talente, und sagte: Herr, du hast mir fünf Talente übergeben; siehe, ich habe fünf weitere Talente gewonnen.

Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros cinco talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

Sagte sein Herr zu ihm: gut, du braver und treuer Knecht; du bist über weniges getreu gewesen, ich will dich über viel setzen; gehe ein zu deines Herrn Freude.

Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Es kam auch der mit den zwei Talenten herzu und sagte: Herr, du hast mir zwei Talente übergeben; siehe, ich habe zwei weitere Talente gewonnen.

Y llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros dos talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

Sagte sein Herr zu ihm: gut, du braver und treuer Knecht, du bist über weniges treu gewesen, ich will dich über viel setzen; gehe ein zu deines Herrn Freude.

Su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Es kam aber auch der, welcher das eine Talent bekommen hatte, und sagte: Herr, ich kannte dich als einen harten Mann, daß du erntest, wo du nicht gesät, und sammelst, wo du nichts ausgestreut,

Y llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste;

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.

so fürchtete ich mich, gieng hin und verbarg dein Talent in der Erde; siehe, da hast du das deinige.

Y tuve miedo, y fuí, y escondí tu talento en la tierra: he aquí tienes lo que es tuyo.

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

Aber sein Herr antwortete ihm: du böser und fauler Knecht, du wußtest, daß ich ernte, wo ich nicht gesät, und sammle, wo ich nichts ausgestreut?

Y respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Malo y negligente siervo, sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí;

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

So mußtest du mein Geld den Wechslern bringen, und wenn ich dann kam, so holte ich mir das meinige mit Zins.

Por tanto te convenía dar mi dinero á los banqueros, y viniendo yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con usura.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

Darum nehmet ihm das Talent und gebt es dem, der die zehn Talente hat.

Quitadle pues el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take away therefore the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und immer mehr gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen werden, das er hat.

Porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

Und den unnützen Knecht werfet hinaus in die Finsternis draußen, da wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.

Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Wenn aber der Sohn des Menschen kommt in seiner Herrlichkeit und alle Engel mit ihm, hierauf wird er sich setzen auf den Thron seiner Herrlichkeit;

Y cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará sobre el trono de su gloria.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

und es werden vor ihm versammelt werden alle Völker, und er wird sie von einander scheiden, wie der Hirte scheidet die Schafe von den Böcken,

Y serán reunidas delante de él todas las gentes: y los apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

und er wird die Schafe auf seine rechte, die Böcke aber auf seine linke Seite stellen.

Y pondrá las ovejas á su derecha, y los cabritos á la izquierda.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Hierauf wird der König sagen zu denen auf seiner rechten: gehet hin, ihr Gesegnete meines Vaters, ererbet das Reich, das euch bereitet ist von der Schöpfung der Welt her.

Entonces el Rey dirá á los que estarán á su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

Ich habe gehungert und ihr gabt mir zu essen, ich habe gedürstet und ihr habt mich getränkt, ich war fremd und ihr habt mich eingeladen,

Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fuí huésped, y me recogisteis;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

bloß und ihr habt mich bekleidet, ich war krank und ihr habt nach mir gesehen, ich war im Gefängnis und ihr kamet zu mir.

Desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis á mí.

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

Hierauf werden ihm die Gerechten antworten: Herr, wann haben wir dich hungern sehen und gespeiset? oder durstig und getränkt?

Entonces los justos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos? ¿ó sediento, y te dimos de beber?

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Wann haben wir dich fremd gesehen und eingeladen, oder bloß und bekleidet?

¿Y cuándo te vimos huésped, y te recogimos? ¿ó desnudo, y te cubrimos?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

Wann haben wir dich krank gesehen, oder im Gefängnis und sind zu dir gekommen?

¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y vinimos á ti?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Und der König wird ihnen antworten: wahrlich, ich sage euch, so viel ihr einem von diesen meinen geringsten Brüdern gethan, habt ihr mir gethan.

Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis á uno de estos mis hermanos pequeñitos, á mí lo hicisteis.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Hierauf wird er auch sagen zu denen auf der linken: gehet hinweg von mir, ihr Verfluchte, in das ewige Feuer, das bereitet ist den Teufeln und seinen Engeln.

Entonces dirá también á los que estarán á la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y para sus ángeles:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

Denn ich habe gehungert und ihr gabt mir nicht zu essen, ich habe gedürstet und ihr habt mich nicht getränkt,

Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

ich war fremd und ihr habt mich nicht eingeladen, bloß und ihr habt mich nicht bekleidet, krank und im Gefängnis, und ihr habt nicht nach mir gesehen.

Fuí huésped, y no me recogisteis; desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Hierauf werden auch sie antworten: Herr, wann haben wir dich hungern oder dürsten oder fremd oder bloß oder krank oder im Gefängnis gesehen, und haben dir nicht gedient?

Entonces también ellos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, ó sediento, ó huésped, ó desnudo, ó enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y no te servimos?

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

Hierauf wird er ihnen antworten: wahrlich, ich sage euch, so viel ihr nicht gethan habt einem von diesen Geringsten, habt ihr auch mir nicht gethan.

Entonces les responderá, diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis á uno de estos pequeñitos, ni á mí lo hicisteis.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

Und es werden hingehen diese zu ewiger Strafe, die Gerechten aber zu ewigem Leben.

E irán éstos al tormento eterno, y los justos á la vida eterna.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
