Ed amano i primi posti ne' banchetti, e le prime sedie nelle sinagoghe.

Y aman los primeros asientos en las cenas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas;

And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
