Jésus, prenant la parole, continua à leur parler en paraboles et dit:

Y RESPONDIENDO Jesús, les volvió á hablar en parábolas, diciendo:

Le royaume des cieux est semblable à un roi qui fit les noces de son fils.

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Et il envoya ses serviteurs pour appeler ceux qui avaient été invités aux noces; mais ils ne voulurent point venir.

Y envió sus siervos para que llamasen los llamados á las bodas; mas no quisieron venir.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Il envoya encore d'autres serviteurs avec cet ordre: Dites à ceux qui ont été invités: J'ai préparé mon dîner; mes taureaux et mes bêtes grasses sont tués, et tout est prêt; venez aux noces.

Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’

Mais eux, n'en tenant compte, s'en allèrent, l'un à sa métairie, et l'autre à son trafic.

Mas ellos no se cuidaron, y se fueron, uno á su labranza, y otro á sus negocios;

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Le roi, l'ayant appris, se mit en colère; et ayant envoyé ses troupes, il fit périr ces meurtriers et brûla leur ville.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Alors il dit à ses serviteurs: Les noces sont bien prêtes, mais ceux qui étaient invités n'en étaient pas dignes.

Entonces dice á sus siervos: Las bodas á la verdad están aparejadas; mas los que eran llamados no eran dignos.

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.

Allez donc dans les carrefours des chemins, et invitez aux noces tous ceux que vous trouverez.

Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’

Et ses serviteurs, étant allés dans les chemins, rassemblèrent tous ceux qu'ils trouvèrent, tant mauvais que bons, en sorte que la salle des noces fut remplie de gens qui étaient à table.

Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados.

So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Et le roi, étant entré pour voir ceux qui étaient à table, aperçut un homme qui n'était pas vêtu d'un vêtement de noces.

And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Et il lui dit: Mon ami, comment es-tu entré ici sans avoir un habit de noces? Et il eut la bouche fermée.

Y le dijo: Amigo, ¿cómo entraste aquí no teniendo vestido de boda? Mas él cerró la boca.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Alors le roi dit aux serviteurs: Liez-le pieds et mains, emportez-le, et le jetez dans les ténèbres de dehors; là seront les pleurs et les grincements de dents.

Entonces el rey dijo á los que servían: Atado de pies y de manos tomadle, y echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’

Car il y a beaucoup d'appelés, mais peu d'élus.

Porque muchos son llamados, y pocos escogidos.

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Alors les pharisiens, s'étant retirés, consultèrent pour le surprendre dans ses discours.

Entonces, idos los Fariseos, consultaron cómo le tomarían en alguna palabra.

Et ils lui envoyèrent de leurs disciples, avec des hérodiens, qui lui dirent: Maître, nous savons que tu es sincère, et que tu enseignes la voie de Dieu selon la vérité, sans avoir égard à qui que ce soit; car tu ne regardes point à l'apparence des hommes.

Y envían á él los discípulos de ellos, con los Herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te curas de nadie, porque no tienes acepción de persona de hombres.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach; for you aren’t partial to anyone.

Dis-nous donc ce qu'il te semble de ceci: Est-il permis de payer le tribut à César, ou non?

Dinos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Mais Jésus, connaissant leur malice, répondit: Hypocrites, pourquoi me tentez-vous?

Mas Jesús, entendida la malicia de ellos, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas?

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Et il leur dit: De qui est cette image et cette inscription?

Entonces les dice: ¿Cúya es esta figura, y lo que está encima escrito?

And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”

Ils lui dirent: De César. Alors il leur dit: Rendez donc à César ce qui est à César, et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu.

Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios.

They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Et ayant entendu cette réponse, ils l'admirèrent; et le laissant, ils s'en allèrent.

Y oyendo esto, se maravillaron; y dejándole se fueron.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

When they heard it, they marveled, and left him and went away.

Ce jour-là les sadducéens, qui disent qu'il n'y a point de résurrection, vinrent à Jésus, et lui firent cette question:

Aquel día llegaron á él los Saduceos, que dicen no haber resurrección, y le preguntaron,

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

Maître, Moïse a dit: Si quelqu'un meurt sans enfants, son frère épousera sa veuve, et suscitera lignée à son frère.

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’

Or, il y avait parmi nous sept frères, dont le premier, s'étant marié, mourut; et n'ayant point eu d'enfants, il laissa sa femme à son frère.

Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano.

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother.

De même aussi le second, puis le troisième, jusqu'au septième.

De la misma manera también el segundo, y el tercero, hasta los siete.

Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

Or, après eux tous, la femme aussi mourut.

Duquel donc des sept sera-t-elle femme à la résurrection, car tous les sept l'ont eue?

En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Mais Jésus, répondant, leur dit: Vous êtes dans l'erreur, parce que vous n'entendez pas les Écritures, ni quelle est la puissance de Dieu.

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Erráis ignorando las Escrituras, y el poder de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

Car à la résurrection les hommes ne prendront point de femmes, ni les femmes de maris; mais ils seront comme les anges de Dieu dans le ciel.

Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Et, quant à la résurrection des morts, n'avez-vous point lu ce que Dieu vous a dit:

Y de la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no habéis leído lo que os es dicho por Dios, que dice:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

Je suis le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac et le Dieu de Jacob. Dieu n'est pas le Dieu des morts, mais des vivants.

Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Et le peuple entendant cela, admirait sa doctrine.

Y oyendo esto las gentes, estaban atónitas de su doctrina.

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Les pharisiens, ayant appris qu'il avait fermé la bouche aux sadducéens, s'assemblèrent.

Entonces los Fariseos, oyendo que había cerrado la boca á los Saduceos, se juntaron á una.

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.

Et l'un d'eux, docteur de la loi, l'interrogea pour l'éprouver, et lui dit:

Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

Maître, quel est le grand commandement de la loi?

Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley?

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”

Jésus lui dit: Tu aimeras le Seigneur ton Dieu de tout ton cour, de toute ton âme et de toute ta pensée.

Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

C'est là le premier et le grand commandement.

Este es el primero y el grande mandamiento.

Et voici le second qui lui est semblable: Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même.

Y el segundo es semejante á éste: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

De ces deux commandements dépendent toute la loi et les prophètes.

De estos dos mandamientos depende toda la ley y los profetas.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Et les pharisiens étant assemblés, Jésus les interrogea,

Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó,

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Et leur dit: Que vous semble-t-il du Christ? De qui est-il fils? Ils lui répondirent: De David.

Diciendo: ¿Qué os parece del Cristo? ¿de quién es Hijo? Dícenle: De David.

Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”

Et il leur dit: Comment donc David l'appelle-t-il par l'Esprit son Seigneur, en disant:

El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo:

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que j'aie fait de tes ennemis le marchepied de tes pieds?

Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?

Si donc David l'appelle son Seigneur, comment est-il son fils?

Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

Et personne ne put lui répondre un mot; et depuis ce jour-là personne n'osa plus l'interroger.

Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
