1Denn das Reich der Himmel ist gleich einem Hausherrn, der mit dem frühen Morgen auszog, Arbeiter zu dingen in seinen Weinberg.
2Nachdem er aber mit den Arbeitern übereingekommen war auf einen Denar für den Tag, schickte er sie in seinen Weinberg.
3Und da er um die dritte Stunde ausgieng, sah er andere auf dem Markt müßig stehen,
4und sagte zu ihnen: gehet auch ihr hin in den Weinberg, ich will euch geben, was recht ist.
5Sie aber giengen hin. Wiederum gieng er aus um die sechste Stunde und um die neunte Stunde und that ebenso.
6Als er aber um die elfte Stunde ausgieng, traf er andere da stehend und sagt zu ihnen: was steht ihr hier den ganzen Tag müßig?
7Sagen sie zu ihm: weil uns niemand gedingt hat. Sagt er zu ihnen: gehet auch ihr hin in den Weinberg.
8Da es aber Abend geworden, sagt der Herr des Weinberges zu seinem Verwalter: rufe die Arbeiter und zahle den Lohn aus, den letzten zuerst bis zu den ersten.
9Als aber die von der elften Stunde kamen, empfiengen sie je einen Denar.
10Und als die ersten kamen, meinten sie, sie bekommen mehr; und auch sie bekamen je einen Denar.
11Wie sie es aber empfiengen, murrten sie gegen den Hausherrn
12und sagten: diese da, die letzten, haben eine Stunde gearbeitet, und du hast sie uns gleichgestellt, die wir die Last und Hitze des Tages getragen haben.
13Er aber antwortete einem von ihnen: Freund, ich thue dir nicht unrecht; bist du nicht auf einen Denar mit mir eins geworden?
14Nimm das deine und gehe. Ich will aber diesem, der der letzte ist, so viel geben, wie dir auch;
15darf ich nicht mit dem meinen thun, was ich will? Oder siehst du scheel dazu, daß ich gut bin?
16So werden die letzten die ersten sein und die ersten die letzten. Denn viele sind berufen, wenige aber sind auserwählt.
17Und da Jesus hinaufgieng nach Jerusalem, nahm er die Zwölf beiseit und sagte zu ihnen unterwegs:
18siehe, wir gehen hinauf nach Jerusalem, und der Sohn des Menschen wird den Hohenpriestern und Schriftgelehrten ausgeliefert werden, und sie werden ihn verurteilen,
19und werden ihn den Heiden ausliefern zum verspotten und geißeln und kreuzigen, und am dritten Tage wird er auferweckt werden.
20Hierauf trat zu ihm die Mutter der Söhne des Zebedäus sammt ihren Söhnen, und warf sich nieder und begehrte etwas von ihm.
21Er aber sagte zu ihr: was willst du? Sagt sie zu ihm: sprich, daß diese meine zwei Söhne einer dir zur rechten und einer zur linken sitzen sollen in deinem Reiche.
22Jesus aber antwortete: ihr wisset nicht, was ihr verlangt. Könnt ihr den Becher trinken, den ich im Begriff bin zu trinken? Sagen sie zu ihm: wir können es.
23Sagt er zu ihnen: meinen Becher sollt ihr trinken; das Sitzen aber zu meiner rechten und linken habe ich nicht zu verleihen, das kommt an die, welchen es bereitet ist von meinem Vater.
24Und da es die Zehn hörten, wurden sie unwillig über die zwei Brüder.
25Jesus aber rief sie herbei und sagte: ihr wisset, daß die Herrscher der Völker sie unterjochen und die Großen sie vergewaltigen.
26Nicht also soll es bei euch sein. Sondern wer unter euch groß werden will, der soll euer Diener sein,
27und wer unter euch der erste sein will, der soll euer Knecht sein.
28Gleichwie der Sohn des Menschen nicht gekommen ist, sich dienen zu lassen, sondern zu dienen und zu geben sein Leben zum Lösegeld statt vieler.
29Und wie sie aus Jericho hinauszogen, folgte ihm eine große Menge;
30und siehe, zwei Blinde, die am Wege saßen, da sie hörten das Jesus vorbeiziehe, schrien sie: Herr, erbarme dich unser, du Sohn Davids.
31Die Menge aber schalt sie, daß sie schweigen sollten. Sie aber schrien nur lauter: Herr, erbarme dich unser, du Sohn Davids.
32Und Jesus stand still und rief sie und sagte: was wollt ihr, soll ich euch thun?
33Sagen sie zu ihm: Herr, daß unsere Augen aufgethan werden.
34Jesus aber hatte Mitleiden, und berührte ihre Augen, und alsbald wurden sie sehend und folgten ihm.

1PORQUE el reino de los cielos es semejante á un hombre, padre de familia, que salió por la mañana á ajustar obreros para su viña.
2Y habiéndose concertado con los obreros en un denario al día, los envió á su viña.
3Y saliendo cerca de la hora de las tres, vió otros que estaban en la plaza ociosos;
4Y les dijo: Id también vosotros á mi viña, y os daré lo que fuere justo. Y ellos fueron.
5Salió otra vez cerca de las horas sexta y nona, é hizo lo mismo.
6Y saliendo cerca de la hora undécima, halló otros que estaban ociosos; y díceles: ¿Por qué estáis aquí todo el día ociosos?
7Dícenle: Porque nadie nos ha ajustado. Díceles: Id también vosotros á la viña, y recibiréis lo que fuere justo.
8Y cuando fué la tarde del día, el señor de la viña dijo á su mayordomo: Llama á los obreros y págales el jornal, comenzando desde los postreros hasta los primeros.
9Y viniendo los que habían ido cerca de la hora undécima, recibieron cada uno un denario.
10Y viniendo también los primeros, pensaron que habían de recibir más; pero también ellos recibieron cada uno un denario.
11Y tomándolo, murmuraban contra el padre de la familia,
12Diciendo: Estos postreros sólo han trabajado una hora, y los has hecho iguales á nosotros, que hemos llevado la carga y el calor del día.
13Y él respondiendo, dijo á uno de ellos: Amigo, no te hago agravio; ¿no te concertaste conmigo por un denario?
14Toma lo que es tuyo, y vete; mas quiero dar á este postrero, como á ti.
15¿No me es lícito á mí hacer lo que quiero con lo mío? ó ¿es malo tu ojo, porque yo soy bueno?
16Así los primeros serán postreros, y los postreros primeros: porque muchos son llamados, mas pocos escogidos.
17Y subiendo Jesús á Jerusalem, tomó sus doce discípulos aparte en el camino, y les dijo:
18He aquí subimos á Jerusalem, y el Hijo del hombre será entregado á los príncipes de los sacerdotes y á los escribas, y le condenarán á muerte;
19Y le entregarán á los Gentiles para que le escarnezcan, y azoten, y crucifiquen; mas al tercer día resucitará.
20Entonces se llegó á él la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo con sus hijos, adorándole, y pidiéndole algo.
21Y él le dijo: ¿Qué quieres? Ella le dijo: Di que se sienten estos dos hijos míos, el uno á tu mano derecha, y el otro á tu izquierda, en tu reino.
22Entonces Jesús respondiendo, dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís: ¿podéis beber el vaso que yo he de beber, y ser bautizados del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado? Y ellos le dicen: Podemos.
23Y él les dice: A la verdad mi vaso beberéis, y del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados; mas el sentaros á mi mano derecha y á mi izquierda, no es mío darlo, sino á aquellos para quienes está aparejado de mi Padre.
24Y como los diez oyeron esto, se enojaron de los dos hermanos.
25Entonces Jesús llamándolos, dijo: Sabéis que los príncipes de los Gentiles se enseñorean sobre ellos, y los que son grandes ejercen sobre ellos potestad.
26Mas entre vosotros no será así; sino el que quisiere entre vosotros hacerse grande, será vuestro servidor;
27Y el que quisiere entre vosotros ser el primero, será vuestro siervo:
28Como el Hijo del hombre no vino para ser servido, sino para servir, y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos.
29Entonces saliendo ellos de Jericó, le seguía gran compañía.
30Y he aquí dos ciegos sentados junto al camino, como oyeron que Jesús pasaba, clamaron, diciendo: Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros.
31Y la gente les reñía para que callasen; mas ellos clamaban más, diciendo: Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros.
32Y parándose Jesús, los llamó, y dijo: ¿Qué queréis que haga por vosotros?
33Ellos le dicen: Señor, que sean abiertos nuestros ojos.
34Entonces Jesús, teniendo misericordia de ellos, les tocó los ojos, y luego sus ojos recibieron la vista; y le siguieron.

1For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
16So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
17And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,
18Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
19And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
20Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
21And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
22But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
23And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
24And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
25But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
26But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
29And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
31And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

1“For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.
2When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.
4He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way.
5Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
6About the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’
7“They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ “He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’
8“When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’
9“When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.
10When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.
11When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,
12saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’
13“But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius?
14Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
15Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
16So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
17As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,
18“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,
19and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.”
20Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.
21He said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom.”
22But Jesus answered, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to him, “We are able.”
23He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give, but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”
24When the ten heard it, they were indignant with the two brothers.
25But Jesus summoned them, and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
26It shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
27Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,
28even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
29As they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30Behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
31The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
32Jesus stood still and called them, and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
33They told him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”
34Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.
