The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Abraham fue el padre de Isaac, e Isaac el padre de Jacob, y Jacob el padre de Judá y sus hermanos,

Abraham engendró á Isaac: é Isaac engendró á Jacob: y Jacob engendró á Judas y á sus hermanos:

Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.

Judá el padre de Fares y Zara a través de Tamar, Fares el padre de Esrom, Esrom el padre de Aram,

Y Judas engendró de Thamar á Phares y á Zara: y Phares engendró á Esrom: y Esrom engendró á Aram:

And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar. Perez became the father of Hezron. Hezron became the father of Ram.

Aram fue el padre de Aminadab, Aminadab el padre de Naasón, Naasón el padre de Salmón.

Y Aram engendró á Aminadab: y Aminadab engendró á Naassón: y Naassón engendró á Salmón:

And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

Ram became the father of Amminadab. Amminadab became the father of Nahshon. Nahshon became the father of Salmon.

Salmón fue el padre de Booz a través de Rahab, Booz el padre de Obed por medio de Rut, Obed el padre de Isaí,

Y Salmón engendró de Rachâb á Booz, y Booz engendró de Ruth á Obed: y Obed engendró á Jessé:

And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

Salmon became the father of Boaz by Rahab. Boaz became the father of Obed by Ruth. Obed became the father of Jesse.

Isaí fue el padre de David el rey. David fue el padre de Salomón por medio de la esposa de Urías.

Y Jessé engendró al rey David: y el rey David engendró á Salomón de la que fué mujer de Urías:

And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

Jesse became the father of King David. David the king became the father of Solomon by her who had been Uriah’s wife.

Salomón fue el padre de Roboam, Roboam el padre de Abías, Abías el padre de Asa,

Y Salomón engendró á Roboam: y Roboam engendró á Abía: y Abía engendró á Asa:

And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.

Asa el padre de Josafat, Josafat fue el padre de Jorám y Jorám el padre de Uzías.

Y Asa engendró á Josaphat: y Josaphat engendró á Joram: y Joram engendró á Ozías:

And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

Asa became the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat became the father of Joram. Joram became the father of Uzziah.

Uzías el padre de Jotam, Jotam el padre de Acaz, Acaz el padre de Ezequías.

Y Ozías engendró á Joatam: y Joatam engendró á Achâz: y Achâz engendró á Ezechîas:

And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

Uzziah became the father of Jotham. Jotham became the father of Ahaz. Ahaz became the father of Hezekiah.

Ezequías fue el padre de Manasés, Manasés el padre de Amón, Amón el padre de Josías.

Y Ezechîas engendró á Manasés: y Manasés engendró á Amón: y Amón engendró á Josías:

And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh. Manasseh became the father of Amon. Amon became the father of Josiah.

Josías el padre de Jeconías y sus hermanos al tiempo de la deportación a Babilonia.

Y Josías engendró á Jechônías y á sus hermanos, en la transmigración de Babilonia.

And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.

Y después de la deportación a Babilonia, Jeconías fue el padre de Salatiel, Salatiel el ancestro de Zorobabel.

Y después de la transmigración de Babilonia, Jechônías engendró á Salathiel: y Salathiel engendró á Zorobabel:

And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

After the exile to Babylon, Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel became the father of Zerubbabel.

Zorobabel el padre de Abiud, Abiud el padre de Eliaquim, Eliaquim el padre de Azor.

Y Zorobabel engendró á Abiud: y Abiud engendró á Eliachîm: y Eliachîm engendró á Azor:

And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

Zerubbabel became the father of Abiud. Abiud became the father of Eliakim. Eliakim became the father of Azor.

Azor fue el padre de Sadoc, Sadoc fue el padre de Aquim, Aquim el padre de Eliud.

Y Azor engendró á Sadoc: y Sadoc engendró á Achîm: y Achîm engendró á Eliud:

And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

Azor became the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of Achim. Achim became the father of Eliud.

Eliud el padre de Eleazar, Eleazar el padre de Matán, Matán el padre de Jacob.

Y Eliud engendró á Eleazar: y Eleazar engendró á Mathán: y Mathán engendró á Jacob:

And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

Eliud became the father of Eleazar. Eleazar became the father of Matthan. Matthan became the father of Jacob.

Jacob el padre de José el esposo de María, por medio de quién Jesús nació, a quién es llamado Cristo.

Y Jacob engendró á José, marido de María, de la cual nació Jesús, el cual es llamado el Cristo.

And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Todas las generaciones desde Abraham a David fueron catorce generaciones, desde David a la deportación a Babilonia catorce generaciones, y de la deportación a Babilonia a Cristo catorce generaciones.

De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones: y desde David hasta la transmigración de Babilonia, catorce generaciones: y desde la transmigración de Babilonia hasta Cristo, catorce generaciones.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ, fourteen generations.

El nacimiento de Jesucristo sucedió de la siguiente forma. Su madre María estaba comprometida para casarse con José, pero antes de que se juntasen, ella se encontró embarazada por medio del Espíritu Santo.

Y el nacimiento de Jesucristo fué así: Que siendo María su madre desposada con José, antes que se juntasen, se halló haber concebido del Espíritu Santo.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

Su esposo José era un hombre justo, pero no quiso avergonzarla públicamente. Así que decidió terminar con su compromiso con ella secretamente.

Y José su marido, como era justo, y no quisiese infamarla, quiso dejarla secretamente.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.

Mientras él pensaba sobre estas cosas, un ángel del Señor le apareció en sueños diciendo: "José, hijo de David, no temas tomar a María como tu esposa, porque el que está concebido dentro de ella fue concebido por el Espíritu Santo.

Y pensando él en esto, he aquí el ángel del Señor le aparece en sueños, diciendo: José, hijo de David, no temas de recibir á María tu mujer, porque lo que en ella es engendrado, del Espíritu Santo es.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Ella dará a luz un Hijo y tú lo llamarás Jesús, pues Él salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados."

Y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESUS, porque él salvará á su pueblo de sus pecados.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”

Todo esto sucedió para que se cumpliera lo hablado por el Señor a través del profeta, diciendo:

Todo esto aconteció para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo:

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

"MIRAD, LA VIRGEN CONCEBIRÁ Y DARÁ A LUZ UN HIJO, Y LLAMARÁN SU NOMBRE EMMANUEL, QUE SIGNIFICA 'DIOS CON NOSOTROS.' "

He aquí la virgen concebirá y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Emmanuel, que declarado, es: Con nosotros Dios.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”

José despertó de su sueño e hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado y él la tomó como su esposa.

Y despertando José del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y recibió á su mujer.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;

Sin embargo, él no durmió con ella hasta que dio a luz a un hijo. Y él llamó su nombre Jesús.

Y no la conoció hasta que parió á su hijo primogénito: y llamó su nombre JESUS.

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

and didn’t know her sexually until she had given birth to her firstborn son. He named him Jesus.
