En ese día Jesús salió fuera de la casa y se sentó al lado del mar.

Y AQUEL día, saliendo Jesús de casa, se sentó junto á la mar.

The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

On that day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the seaside.

Una gran multitud se reunió a su alrededor, así que entró a una barca y se sentó en ella. Toda la multitud se mantuvo en la playa.

Y se allegaron á él muchas gentes; y entrándose él en el barco, se sentó, y toda la gente estaba á la ribera.

And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.

Entonces Jesús les dijo muchas cosas en parábolas. Él dijo: "He aquí, un sembrador salió a sembrar.

Y les habló muchas cosas por parábolas, diciendo: He aquí el que sembraba salió á sembrar.

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow.

Mientras él sembraba, algunas semillas cayeron al lado del camino, y las aves vinieron y las devoraron.

Y sembrando, parte de la simiente cayó junto al camino; y vinieron las aves, y la comieron.

And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them.

Otras semillas cayeron en terreno rocoso, donde no tenían mucho suelo. Inmediatamente brotaron porque el suelo no tenía mucha profundidad.

Y parte cayó en pedregales, donde no tenía mucha tierra; y nació luego, porque no tenía profundidad de tierra:

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.

Pero cuando el sol se levantó, ellas se quemaron porque no tenían raíces, y ellas se secaron.

Mas en saliendo el sol, se quemó; y secóse, porque no tenía raíz.

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.

Otras semillas cayeron entre las plantas de espinos. Las plantas de espinos crecieron y las ahogaron.

Y parte cayó en espinas; y las espinas crecieron, y la ahogaron.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them.

Otras semillas cayeron en buen suelo y produjeron grano, algunas cien veces como mucho, algunas sesenta, y algunas treinta.

Y parte cayó en buena tierra, y dió fruto, cuál á ciento, cuál á sesenta, y cuál á treinta.

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Others fell on good soil and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

Aquel que tenga oídos, déjelo escuchar.

Quien tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Los discípulos vinieron y le dijeron a Jesús: "¿Por qué les hablas a la multitud en parábolas?"

Entonces, llegándose los discípulos, le dijeron: ¿Por qué les hablas por parábolas?

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”

Jesús les respondió y les dijo a ellos: "A ustedes se les ha dado el privilegio de entender misterios del reino de los cielos, pero a ellos no se les ha dado.

Y él respondiendo, les dijo: Por que á vosotros es concedido saber los misterios del reino de los cielos; mas á ellos no es concedido.

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them.

Porque cualquiera que tiene, a él le será dado más, y él tendrá un gran valor. Pero cualquiera que no tiene, a él se le quitará aun lo que tiene.

Porque á cualquiera que tiene, se le dará, y tendrá más; pero al que no tiene, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

Así que les habló a ellos en parábolas, aunque ellos ven, ellos realmente no ven. Y aunque ellos oyen, ellos realmente no oyen, ni tampoco entienden.

Por eso les hablo por parábolas; porque viendo no ven, y oyendo no oyen, ni entienden.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand.

Para ellos la profecía de Isaías está cumplida, la cual dice: 'MIENTRAS OIGAS, TÚ OIRÁS, PERO TÚ DE NINGUNA MANERA ENTENDERÁS; MIENTRAS VEAS, TÚ VERÁS, PERO TÚ DE NINGUNA MANERA PERCIBIRÁS.

De manera que se cumple en ellos la profecía de Isaías, que dice: De oído oiréis, y no entenderéis; y viendo veréis, y no miraréis.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive;

PORQUE EL CORAZÓN DE ESTE PUEBLO SE HA VUELTO SORDO, Y SUS OÍDOS SON PESADOS PARA OÍR, Y ELLOS HAN CERRADO SUS OJOS, ASÍ QUE NO PUEDEN VER CON SUS OJOS, U OÍR CON SUS OÍDOS, O ENTENDER CON SUS CORAZONES, ASÍ QUE ELLOS SE VOLVERÁN NUEVAMENTE, Y YO LOS SANARÉ.'

Porque el corazón de este pueblo está engrosado, y de los oídos oyen pesadamente, y de sus ojos guiñan: para que no vean de los ojos, y oigan de los oídos, y del corazón entiendan, y se conviertan, y yo los sane.

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.’

Pero bendecidos son sus ojos, pues ellos ven; y sus oídos, pues ellos oyen.

Mas bienaventurados vuestros ojos, porque ven; y vuestros oídos, porque oyen.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

“But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

Verdaderamente Yo les digo que muchos profetas y hombres justos desearon ver las cosas que ustedes ven, y no las vieron. Ellos desearon escuchar las cosas que ustedes oyen, y no las oyeron.

Porque de cierto os digo, que muchos profetas y justos desearon ver lo que veis, y no lo vieron: y oir lo que oís, y no lo oyeron.

For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them.

Escuchen entonces a la parábola del sembrador.

Oid, pues, vosotros la parábola del que siembra:

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

“Hear, then, the parable of the farmer.

Cuando cualquiera oye la palabra del reino pero no la entiende, entonces el maligno viene y arrebata lo que ha sido sembrado en su corazón. Ésta es la semilla que fue sembrada junto al camino.

Oyendo cualquiera la palabra del reino, y no entendiéndola, viene el malo, y arrebata lo que fué sembrado en su corazón: éste es el que fué sembrado junto al camino.

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.

Aquel que fue sembrado en el suelo rocoso es aquel que escucha la palabra y la recibe con gozo inmediatamente.

Y el que fué sembrado en pedregales, éste es el que oye la palabra, y luego la recibe con gozo.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately with joy receives it;

Aún él que no tiene raíces en sí mismo pero permanece solo por poco tiempo. Cuando tribulación o persecución se levanta por causa de la palabra, él se aparta inmediatamente.

Mas no tiene raíz en sí, antes es temporal: que venida la aflicción ó la persecución por la palabra, luego se ofende.

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

Aquel que fue sembrado entre las plantas de espinos, este es aquel que oye la palabra, pero los cuidados del mundo y las decepciones de las riquezas ahogan la palabra, y él viene a ser sin fruto.

Y el que fué sembrado en espinas, éste es el que oye la palabra; pero el afán de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas, ahogan la palabra, y hácese infructuosa.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Aquel que fue sembrado en buen suelo, es aquel que oye la palabra y la entiende. Éste es el que verdaderamente produce fruto y lo cultiva; algunas cien veces como mucho, algunos sesenta, y algunos treinta."

Mas el que fué sembrado en buena tierra, éste es el que oye y entiende la palabra, y el que lleva fruto: y lleva uno á ciento, y otro á sesenta, y otro á treinta.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit and produces, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.”

Jesús les presentó otra parábola a ellos. Les dijo: "El reino del cielo es como un hombre que sembró buena semilla en su terreno.

Otra parábola les propuso, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante al hombre que siembra buena simiente en su campo:

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field,

Pero mientras las personas dormían, su enemigo vino y también sembró mala hierba entre el trigo, y luego se fue.

Mas durmiendo los hombres, vino su enemigo, y sembró cizaña entre el trigo, y se fué.

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away.

Cuando las semillas germinaron y produjeron su cultivo, entonces la mala hierba también apareció.

Y como la hierba salió é hizo fruto, entonces apareció también la cizaña.

But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

But when the blade sprang up and produced grain, then the darnel weeds appeared also.

Los sirvientes del dueño del terreno vinieron y le dijeron a él: 'Señor, ¿no sembró usted buena semilla en su terreno? ¿Cómo ahora tiene mala hierba?'

Y llegándose los siervos del padre de la familia, le dijeron: Señor, ¿no sembraste buena simiente en tu campo? ¿de dónde, pues, tiene cizaña?

So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’

Él les dijo a ellos: 'Un enemigo ha hecho esto.' Los sirvientes le dijeron a él: 'Así que, ¿quieres que vayamos y las arranquemos?'

Y él les dijo: Un hombre enemigo ha hecho esto. Y los siervos le dijeron: ¿Quieres, pues, que vayamos y la cojamos?

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

El dueño del terreno dijo: 'No, o cuando saques afuera la mala hierba, puedes arrancar el trigo con ella.

Y él dijo: No; porque cogiendo la cizaña, no arranquéis también con ella el trigo.

But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

“But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

Deja que ambos crezcan juntos hasta la cosecha. En el tiempo de la cosecha yo le diré a los segadores: 'Primero saquen afuera la mala hierba y amárrenla en manojos para quemarla, pero recolecten el trigo en mi granero.' "

Dejad crecer juntamente lo uno y lo otro hasta la siega; y al tiempo de la siega yo diré á los segadores: Coged primero la cizaña, y atadla en manojos para quemarla; mas recoged el trigo en mi alfolí.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

Entonces Jesús les presentó otra parábola a ellos. Él dijo: "El reino del cielo es como una semilla de mostaza la cual un hombre se llevó y la sembró en su terreno.

Otra parábola les propuso, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante al grano de mostaza, que tomándolo alguno lo sembró en su campo:

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took, and sowed in his field,

Esta semilla es en efecto la más pequeña de todas las otras semillas. Pero cuando ha crecido, es más grande que todas las plantas del jardín. Se convierte en un árbol, para que así las aves del cielo vengan y hagan nido en sus ramas."

El cual á la verdad es la más pequeña de todas las simientes; mas cuando ha crecido, es la mayor de las hortalizas, y se hace árbol, que vienen las aves del cielo y hacen nidos en sus ramas.

Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”

Jesús entonces les dijo a ellos otra parábola. "El reino del cielo es como levadura que una mujer se llevó y mezcló con tres medidas de harina hasta que subió."

Otra parábola les dijo: El reino de los cielos es semejante á la levadura que tomó una mujer, y escondió en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo quedó leudo.

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.”

Todas estas cosas Jesús dijo a la multitud en parábolas; y sin parábolas Él no dijo nada a ellos.

Todo esto habló Jesús por parábolas á las gentes, y sin parábolas no les hablaba:

All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them,

Esto era para que lo que fue dicho a través del profeta viniese a ser verdad, cuando él dijo: "YO ABRIRÉ MI BOCA EN PARÁBOLAS. YO DIRÉ COSAS QUE FUERON ESCONDIDAS DESDE LA FUNDACIÓN DEL MUNDO."

Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta, que dijo: Abriré en parábolas mi boca; rebosaré cosas escondidas desde la fundación del mundo.

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”

Entonces Jesús dejó la multitud y entró en la casa. Sus discípulos vinieron a Él y le dijeron: "Explícanos la parábola de la mala hierba en el terreno."

Entonces, despedidas las gentes, Jesús se vino á casa; y llegándose á él sus discípulos, le dijeron: Decláranos la parábola de la cizaña del campo.

Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.”

Jesús les respondió y dijo: "Aquel que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del Hombre.

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: El que siembra la buena simiente es el Hijo del hombre;

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,

El terreno es el mundo; y la buena semilla son los hijos del reino. La mala hierba son los hijos del maligno,

Y el campo es el mundo; y la buena simiente son los hijos del reino, y la cizaña son los hijos del malo;

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

the field is the world, the good seeds are the children of the Kingdom, and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.

y el enemigo que las sembró es el diablo. La cosecha es el fin del mundo, y los cosechadores son los ángeles.

Y el enemigo que la sembró, es el diablo; y la siega es el fin del mundo, y los segadores son los ángeles.

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.

De este modo, mientras las malas hierbas son juntadas y quemadas con fuego, así será en el fin del mundo.

De manera que como es cogida la cizaña, y quemada al fuego, así será en el fin de este siglo.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

El Hijo del Hombre enviará afuera a Sus ángeles, y ellos apartaran fuera de su reino todas estas cosas que causan el pecado, y a aquellos que cometieron iniquidad.

Enviará el Hijo del hombre sus ángeles, y cogerán de su reino todos los escándalos, y los que hacen iniquidad,

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and those who do iniquity,

Entonces ellos serán arrojados al horno de fuego, donde habrá llanto y crujir de dientes.

Y los echarán en el horno de fuego: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Entonces las personas justas brillarán como el sol en el reino de su Padre. Aquel que tiene oídos, déjenlo escuchar.

Entonces los justos resplandecerán como el sol en el reino de su Padre: el que tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

El reino del cielo es como un tesoro escondido en el campo. Un hombre lo encontró y lo escondió. En su gozo él va, vende todo lo que posee, y compra ese campo.

Además, el reino de los cielos es semejante al tesoro escondido en el campo; el cual hallado, el hombre lo encubre, y de gozo de ello va, y vende todo lo que tiene, y compra aquel campo.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

De nuevo, el reino del cielo es como un hombre que es un mercader y está buscando perlas valiosas.

También el reino de los cielos es semejante al hombre tratante, que busca buenas perlas;

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls,

Cuando él encontró una perla de gran valor, él fue y vendió todo lo que poseía y la compró.

Que hallando una preciosa perla, fué y vendió todo lo que tenía, y la compró.

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.

De nuevo, el reino del cielo es como una red la cual se lanza en el mar, y recoje todo tipo de criatura de toda clase.

Asimismo el reino de los cielos es semejante á la red, que echada en la mar, coge de todas suertes de peces:

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some fish of every kind,

Cuando está llena, los pescadores la arrastran hasta la playa. Entonces ellos sentados recolectan las buenas cosas en contenedores, pero las cosas que no tienen valor las arrojan fuera.

La cual estando llena, la sacaron á la orilla; y sentados, cogieron lo bueno en vasos, y lo malo echaron fuera.

Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

which, when it was filled, fishermen drew up on the beach. They sat down and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away.

Será de esta forma en el fin del mundo. Los ángeles vendrán y separarán a los malvados de entre los justos.

Así será al fin del siglo: saldrán los ángeles, y apartarán á los malos de entre los justos,

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

So it will be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

Ellos los arrojarán al horno de fuego, donde habrá llanto y crujir de dientes.

Y los echarán en el horno del fuego: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

¿Han entendido todas estas cosas?" Los discípulos le dijeron a Él: "Sí."

Díceles Jesús: ¿Habéis entendido todas estas cosas? Ellos responden: Sí, Señor.

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.”

Entonces Jesús les dijo a ellos: "De modo, todo escriba que se ha convertido en un discípulo del reino del cielo es como un hombre que es dueño de una casa, el cual retira las cosas viejas y nuevas cosas de su tesoro."

Y él les dijo: Por eso todo escriba docto en el reino de los cielos, es semejante á un padre de familia, que saca de su tesoro cosas nuevas y cosas viejas.

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

Entonces vino a ser que cuando Jesús terminó estas parábolas, Él se fue de aquel lugar.

Y aconteció que acabando Jesús estas parábolas, pasó de allí.

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

When Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.

Entonces Jesús entró a su propia región y enseñó a las personas en su sinagoga. El resultado fue que ellos quedaron atónitos y dijeron: "¿Dónde este hombre saca su sabiduría y estos milagros?

Y venido á su tierra, les enseñaba en la sinagoga de ellos, de tal manera que ellos estaban atónitos, y decían: ¿De dónde tiene éste esta sabiduría, y estas maravillas?

And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

¿No este hombre el hijo del carpintero? ¿No es su madre María? ¿Y sus hermanos no son Santiago, José, Simón y Judas?

Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?

¿Y sus hermanas, no están todas entre nosotros? Así que, ¿de dónde este hombre saca todas estas cosas?"

¿Y no están todas sus hermanas con nosotros? ¿De dónde, pues, tiene éste todas estas cosas?

And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?”

Ellos estaban ofendidos por Él. Pero Jesús les dijo a ellos: "Un profeta no es sin honra, excepto en su propio tierra y en su propia familia."

Y se escandalizaban en él. Mas Jesús les dijo: No hay profeta sin honra sino en su tierra y en su casa.

And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
