Verstockt ist das Herz dieses Volkes; schwerhörig sind seine Ohren, und seine Augen hält es geschlossen, damit sie mit den Augen nicht sehen und mit den Ohren nicht hören und verständig würden mit den Herzen, damit sie sich bekehrten und ich sie heilen könnte'.
Porque el corazón de este pueblo está engrosado, y de los oídos oyen pesadamente, y de sus ojos guiñan: para que no vean de los ojos, y oigan de los oídos, y del corazón entiendan, y se conviertan, y yo los sane.
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them.’
