1En ce temps-là, Jésus passait par des blés un jour de sabbat; et ses disciples, ayant faim, se mirent à arracher des épis et à en manger.
2Les pharisiens, voyant cela, lui dirent: Voilà tes disciples qui font ce qu'il n'est pas permis de faire le jour du sabbat.
3Mais il leur dit: N'avez-vous pas lu ce que fit David ayant faim, tant lui que ceux qui étaient avec lui,
4Comment il entra dans la maison de Dieu, et mangea les pains de proposition, dont il n'était pas permis de manger, ni à lui, ni à ceux qui étaient avec lui, mais aux seuls sacrificateurs?
5Ou n'avez-vous pas lu dans la loi que les sacrificateurs, au jour du sabbat, violent le sabbat dans le temple, sans être coupables?
6Or, je vous dis qu'il y a ici quelqu'un qui est plus grand que le temple.
7Que si vous saviez ce que signifie: Je veux la miséricorde, et non pas le sacrifice, vous n'auriez pas condamné des innocents.
8Car le Fils de l'homme est maître même du sabbat.
9Étant parti de là, il vint dans leur synagogue.
10Et il y trouva un homme qui avait une main sèche; et ils lui demandèrent, pour avoir lieu de l'accuser: Est-il permis de guérir dans les jours de sabbat?
11Et il leur dit: Qui sera celui d'entre vous, qui, ayant une brebis, si elle tombe le jour du sabbat dans une fosse, ne la prenne et ne l'en retire?
12Or, combien un homme vaut-il mieux qu'une brebis! Il est donc permis de faire du bien dans les jours de sabbat.
13Alors il dit à cet homme: Étends ta main. Et il l'étendit, et elle devint saine comme l'autre.
14Là-dessus, les pharisiens, étant sortis, délibérèrent entre eux comment ils le feraient périr.
15Mais Jésus, l'ayant connu, partit de là; et une grande multitude le suivit, et il les guérit tous.
16Et il leur défendit fortement de le faire connaître;
17De sorte que fut accompli ce qui avait été dit par Ésaïe le prophète en ces termes:
18Voici mon serviteur que j'ai élu, mon bien-aimé en qui mon âme a pris plaisir; je mettrai mon Esprit sur lui, et il annoncera la justice aux nations;
19Il ne contestera point, et ne criera point, et on n'entendra point sa voix dans les places;
20Il ne rompra pas le roseau froissé, et il n'éteindra pas le lumignon qui fume encore, jusqu'à ce qu'il ait rendu la justice victorieuse;
21Et les nations espéreront en son nom.
22Alors on présenta à Jésus un démoniaque aveugle et muet, et il le guérit, de sorte que celui qui avait été aveugle et muet parlait et voyait.
23Tout le peuple en fut étonné, et ils disaient: Cet homme ne serait-il point le Fils de David?
24Mais les pharisiens, entendant cela, disaient: Cet homme ne chasse les démons que par Béelzébul, prince des démons.
25Mais Jésus, connaissant leurs pensées, leur dit: Tout royaume divisé contre lui-même sera réduit en désert; et toute ville ou toute maison divisée contre elle-même ne subsistera point.
26Que si Satan chasse Satan, il est divisé contre lui-même; comment donc son royaume subsistera-t-il?
27Et si je chasse les démons par Béelzébul, vos fils par qui les chassent-ils? C'est pourquoi ils seront eux-mêmes vos juges.
28Mais si je chasse les démons par l'Esprit de Dieu, le règne de Dieu est donc venu vers vous.
29Ou comment quelqu'un pourrait-il entrer dans la maison d'un homme fort, et piller son bien, s'il n'avait auparavant lié cet homme fort? Après quoi, il pourrait piller sa maison.
30Celui qui n'est pas avec moi, est contre moi; et celui qui n'assemble pas avec moi, disperse.
31C'est pourquoi je vous dis que tout péché et tout blasphème sera pardonné aux hommes; mais le blasphème contre l'Esprit ne leur sera point pardonné.
32Et si quelqu'un a parlé contre le Fils de l'homme, il lui sera pardonné; mais celui qui aura parlé contre le Saint-Esprit n'en obtiendra le pardon, ni dans ce siècle, ni dans celui qui est à venir.
33Ou dites que l'arbre est bon, et son fruit bon; ou dites que l'arbre est mauvais, et son fruit mauvais; car on connaît l'arbre par le fruit.
34Race de vipères! comment pourriez-vous dire de bonnes choses, étant méchants? car c'est de l'abondance du cœur que la bouche parle.
35L'homme de bien tire de bonnes choses du bon trésor de son cour; mais le méchant tire de mauvaises choses du mauvais trésor de son cour.
36Or, je vous dis que les hommes rendront compte, au jour du jugement, de toute parole vaine qu'ils auront dite;
37Car tu seras justifié par tes paroles, et par tes paroles tu seras condamné.
38Alors quelques-uns des scribes et des pharisiens lui dirent: Maître, nous voudrions te voir faire quelque miracle.
39Mais lui, répondant, leur dit: Une race méchante et adultère demande un miracle; mais il ne lui en sera accordé aucun autre que celui du prophète Jonas.
40Car comme Jonas fut dans le ventre d'un grand poisson trois jours et trois nuits, ainsi le Fils de l'homme sera dans le sein de la terre trois jours et trois nuits.
41Les Ninivites s'élèveront au jour du jugement contre cette nation, et la condamneront, parce qu'ils se repentirent à la prédication de Jonas; et il y a ici plus que Jonas.
42La reine du Midi s'élèvera au Jugement contre cette nation, et la condamnera, car elle vint des bornes de la terre pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon; et il y a ici plus que Salomon.
43Lorsqu'un esprit immonde est sorti d'un homme, il va par des lieux arides, cherchant du repos, et il n'en trouve point.
44Alors il dit: Je retournerai dans ma maison, d'où je suis sorti; et étant revenu, il la trouve vide, balayée et ornée.
45Alors il s'en va, et prend avec lui sept autres esprits plus méchants que lui, et étant entrés dans la maison, ils y habitent; et la dernière condition de cet homme est pire que la première. Il en arrivera ainsi à cette méchante race.
46Et comme Jésus parlait encore au peuple, sa mère et ses frères étaient dehors, cherchant à lui parler.
47Et quelqu'un lui dit: Voici, ta mère et tes frères sont là dehors, qui demandent à te parler.
48Mais il répondit et dit à celui qui lui avait parlé: Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?
49Et étendant sa main sur ses disciples, il dit: Voici ma mère et mes frères.
50Car quiconque fait la volonté de mon Père qui est aux cieux, c'est celui-là qui est mon frère, et ma sœur, et ma mère.

1EN aquel tiempo iba Jesús por los sembrados en sábado; y sus discípulos tenían hambre, y comenzaron á coger espigas, y á comer.
2Y viéndolo los Fariseos, le dijeron: He aquí tus discípulos hacen lo que no es lícito hacer en sábado.
3Y él les dijo: ¿No habéis leído qué hizo David, teniendo él hambre y los que con él estaban:
4Cómo entró en la casa de Dios, y comió los panes de la proposición, que no le era lícito comer, ni á los que estaban con él, sino á solos los sacerdotes?
5O ¿no habéis leído en la ley, que los sábados en el templo los sacerdotes profanan el sábado, y son sin culpa?
6Pues os digo que uno mayor que el templo está aquí.
7Mas si supieseis qué es: Misericordia quiero y no sacrificio, no condenaríais á los inocentes:
8Porque Señor es del sábado el Hijo del hombre.
9Y partiéndose de allí, vino á la sinagoga de ellos.
10Y he aquí había allí uno que tenía una mano seca: y le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Es lícito curar en sábado? por acusarle.
11Y él les dijo: ¿Qué hombre habrá de vosotros, que tenga una oveja, y si cayere ésta en una fosa en sábado, no le eche mano, y la levante?
12Pues ¿cuánto más vale un hombre que una oveja? Así que, lícito es en los sábados hacer bien.
13Entonces dijo á aquel hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y él la extendió, y fué restituída sana como la otra.
14Y salidos los Fariseos, consultaron contra él para destruirle.
15Mas sabiéndolo Jesús, se apartó de allí: y le siguieron muchas gentes, y sanaba á todos.
16Y él les encargaba eficazmente que no le descubriesen:
17Para que se cumpliese lo que estaba dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:
18He aquí mi siervo, al cual he escogido; mi Amado, en el cual se agrada mi alma: pondré mi Espíritu sobre él, y á los Gentiles anunciará juicio.
19No contenderá, ni voceará: ni nadie oirá en las calles su voz.
20La caña cascada no quebrará, y el pábilo que humea no apagará, hasta que saque á victoria el juicio.
21Y en su nombre esperarán los Gentiles.
22Entonces fué traído á él un endemoniado, ciego y mudo, y le sanó; de tal manera, que el ciego y mudo hablaba y veía.
23Y todas las gentes estaban atónitas, y decían: ¿Será éste aquel Hijo de David?
24Mas los Fariseos, oyéndolo, decían: Este no echa fuera los demonios, sino por Beelzebub, príncipe de los demonios.
25Y Jesús, como sabía los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es desolado; y toda ciudad ó casa dividida contra sí misma, no permanecerá.
26Y si Satanás echa fuera á Satanás, contra sí mismo está dividido; ¿cómo, pues, permanecerá su reino?
27Y si yo por Beelzebub echo fuera los demonios, ¿vuestros hijos por quién los echan? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.
28Y si por espíritu de Dios yo echo fuera los demonios, ciertamente ha llegado á vosotros el reino de Dios.
29Porque, ¿cómo puede alguno entrar en la casa del valiente, y saquear sus alhajas, si primero no prendiere al valiente? y entonces saqueará su casa.
30El que no es conmigo, contra mí es; y el que conmigo no recoge, derrama.
31Por tanto os digo: Todo pecado y blasfemia será perdonado á los hombres: mas la blasfemia contra el Espíritu no será perdonada á los hombres.
32Y cualquiera que hablare contra el Hijo del hombre, le será perdonado: mas cualquiera que hablare contra el Espíritu Santo, no le será perdonado, ni en este siglo, ni en el venidero.
33O haced el árbol bueno, y su fruto bueno, ó haced el árbol corrompido, y su fruto dañado; porque por el fruto es conocido el árbol.
34Generación de víboras, ¿cómo podéis hablar bien, siendo malos? porque de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca.
35El hombre bueno del buen tesoro del corazón saca buenas cosas: y el hombre malo del mal tesoro saca malas cosas.
36Mas yo os digo, que toda palabra ociosa que hablaren los hombres, de ella darán cuenta en el día del juicio.
37Porque por tus palabras serás justificado, y por tus palabras serás condenado.
38Entonces respondieron algunos de los escribas y de los Fariseos, diciendo: Maestro, deseamos ver de ti señal.
39Y él respondió, y les dijo: La generación mala y adulterina demanda señal; mas señal no le será dada, sino la señal de Jonás profeta.
40Porque como estuvo Jonás en el vientre de la ballena tres días y tres noches, así estará el Hijo del hombre en el corazón de la tierra tres días y tres noches.
41Los hombres de Nínive se levantarán en el juicio con esta generación, y la condenarán; porque ellos se arrepintieron á la predicación de Jonás; y he aquí más que Jonás en este lugar.
42La reina del Austro se levantará en el juicio con esta generación, y la condenará; porque vino de los fines de la tierra para oir la sabiduría de Salomón: y he aquí más que Salomón en este lugar.
43Cuando el espíritu inmundo ha salido del hombre, anda por lugares secos, buscando reposo, y no lo halla.
44Entonces dice: Me volveré á mi casa de donde salí: y cuando viene, la halla desocupada, barrida y adornada.
45Entonces va, y toma consigo otros siete espíritus peores que él, y entrados, moran allí; y son peores las cosas últimas del tal hombre que las primeras: así también acontecerá á esta generación mala.
46Y estando él aún hablando á las gentes, he aquí su madre y sus hermanos estaban fuera, que le querían hablar.
47Y le dijo uno: He aquí tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que te quieren hablar.
48Y respondiendo él al que le decía esto, dijo: ¿Quién es mi madre y quiénes son mis hermanos?
49Y extendiendo su mano hacia sus discípulos, dijo: He aquí mi madre y mis hermanos.
50Porque todo aquel que hiciere la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos, ese es mi hermano, y hermana, y madre.

1At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
2But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
3But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
4How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
7But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
8For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
9And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
10And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
11And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
12How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
13Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
14Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
15But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
16And charged them that they should not make him known:
17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
18Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
19He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
20A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
21And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
22Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
33Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
38Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
39But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
46While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

1At that time, Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the grain fields. His disciples were hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
2But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, “Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
3But he said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:
4how he entered into God’s house and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
5Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath day the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless?
6But I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.
7But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you wouldn’t have condemned the guiltless.
8For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9He departed from there and went into their synagogue.
10And behold, there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” so that they might accuse him.
11He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it and lift it out?
12Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”
13Then he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out; and it was restored whole, just like the other.
14But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.
15Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,
16and commanded them that they should not make him known,
17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
18“Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19He will not strive, nor shout, neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
20He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory.
21In his name, the nations will hope.”
22Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him; and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23All the multitudes were amazed, and said, “Can this be the son of David?”
24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
25Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
26If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
27If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
28But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come upon you.
29Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house.
30“He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters.
31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.
33“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.
34You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

39But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.

47One said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking to speak to you.”
48But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
49He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
50For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
