und sagen: Wir haben euch aufgespielt, und ihr habt nicht getanzt; / wir haben Klagelieder gesungen, und ihr habt nicht getrauert.

Y dicen: Os tañimos flauta, y no bailasteis; os endechamos, y no lamentasteis.

And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.

and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned for you, and you didn’t lament.’
