4Wenn Edom etwa denkt: Zwar ist Zerstörung über unser Land gekommen, aber wir werden auch Trümmer wieder aufbauen können! so spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen also: Sie mögen bauen, ich aber werde niederreißen, so daß man ihnen den Namen geben wird: “Frevelgebiet” und “das Volk, dem Jahwe auf ewig grollt”.

4Cuando Edom dijere: Nos hemos empobrecido, mas tornemos á edificar lo arruinado; así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Ellos edificarán, y yo destruiré: y les llamarán Provincia de impiedad, y, Pueblo contra quien Jehová se airó para siempre.

4Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

4Whereas Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places,” the LORD of Armies says, “They shall build, but I will throw down; and men will call them ‘The Wicked Land,’ even the people against whom the LORD shows wrath forever.”
