In jenen Tagen erging ein Erlaß des Kaisers Augustus, das ganze Land sei aufzunehmen.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquellos días que salió edicto de parte de Augusto César, que toda la tierra fuese empadronada.

Auch Joseph reiste von Galiläa aus der Stadt Nazareth nach Judäa zur Davidstadt mit Namen Bethlehem, um sich eintragen zu lassen, weil er aus dem Hause und Geschlechte Davids war.

Y aconteció que estando ellos allí, se cumplieron los días en que ella había de parir.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

In derselben Gegend waren Hirten auf dem freien Felde; sie hielten nachts Wache bei ihrer Herde.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

Da stand der Engel des Herrn vor ihnen, und die Herrlichkeit des Herrn umleuchtete sie. Und sie gerieten in übergroße Furcht.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

Der Engel aber sprach zu ihnen: "Fürchtet euch nicht: Seht, ich verkünde euch eine große Freude, die allem Volke zuteil werden soll:

Heute ist euch in der Stadt Davids der Heiland geboren; es ist Christus, der Herr.

Que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es CRISTO el Señor.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Und dies soll euch zum Zeichen dienen: Ihr werdet ein Kind finden, das in Windeln eingewickelt ist und in einer Krippe liegt."

Y esto os será por señal: hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, echado en un pesebre.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”

Und sogleich war bei dem Engel eine ganze Schar des himmlischen Heeres.

Die Engel gingen dann von ihnen weg in den Himmel; die Hirten aber sprachen zueinander: "Laßt uns nach Bethlehem gehen und sehen, was dort geschehen ist, was uns der Herr kundgetan hat."

Y aconteció que como los ángeles se fueron de ellos al cielo, los pastores dijeron los unos á los otros: Pasemos pues hasta Bethlehem, y veamos esto que ha sucedido, que el Señor nos ha manifestado.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”

Sie gingen eilends hin und fanden Maria und Joseph und das Kind, das in der Krippe lag.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Und alle, die davon hörten, verwunderten sich über das, was ihnen von den Hirten gesagt worden war.

Y todos los que oyeron, se maravillaron de lo que los pastores les decían.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

Maria aber bewahrte alle diese Begebenheiten und überdachte sie in ihrem Herzen.

Auch wollten sie das Opfer darbringen, wie es im Gesetze des Herrn geboten ist, ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben.

Y para dar la ofrenda, conforme á lo que está dicho en la ley del Señor: un par de tórtolas, ó dos palominos.

And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

In Jerusalem lebte ein Mann mit Namen Simeon. Er war ein frommer und gottesfürchtiger Mann, der den Trost Israels erwartete; auch war der Heilige Geist in ihm.

Ihm war vom Heiligen Geist geoffenbart worden, daß er den Tod nicht schauen werde, bevor er nicht den Gesalbten des Herrn gesehen habe. So kam er auf den Antrieb des Geistes in den Tempel.

Y había recibido respuesta del Espíritu Santo, que no vería la muerte antes que viese al Cristo del Señor.

And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

Als eben die Eltern das Kind Jesus hereintrugen, um die Gesetzesvorschrift an ihm zu erfüllen,

Y vino por Espíritu al templo. Y cuando metieron al niño Jesús sus padres en el templo, para hacer por él conforme á la costumbre de la ley,

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

“Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace;

mit eigenen Augen habe ich Dein Heil geschaut,

Porque han visto mis ojos tu salvación,

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

for my eyes have seen your salvation,

das du bereitet hast vor allen Völkern:

La cual has aparejado en presencia de todos los pueblos;

Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;

Ein Licht zur Offenbarung für die Heiden und eine Ehre für Dein Volk Israel."

Luz para ser revelada á los Gentiles, y la gloria de tu pueblo Israel.

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”

Sein Vater und seine Mutter staunten über das, was über ihn gesprochen wurde.

Y José y su madre estaban maravillados de las cosas que se decían de él.

And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

Und Simeon segnete sie und sagte zu Maria, seiner Mutter: "Siehe, dieser ist bestimmt zum Falle und zur Auferstehung vieler in Israel und zu einem Zeichen, dem man widersprechen wird -

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against.

auch deine Seele wird das Schwert durchdringen -, damit die Gedanken vieler Herzen offenkundig werden."

Y una espada traspasará tu alma de ti misma, para que sean manifestados los pensamientos de muchos corazones.

(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Da war auch Anna, eine Prophetin, eine Tochter Phanuels, aus dem Stamme Aser. Sie war schon hochbetagt; sie hatte nach ihrer Mädchenzeit sieben Jahre mit ihrem Manne gelebt

Estaba también allí Ana, profetisa, hija de Phanuel, de la tribu de Aser; la cual había venido en grande edad, y había vivido con su marido siete años desde su virginidad;

And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

Y era viuda de hasta ochenta y cuatro años, que no se apartaba del templo, sirviendo de noche y de día con ayunos y oraciones.

And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

and she had been a widow for about eighty-four years), who didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fastings and petitions night and day.

Auch diese fand sich zur selben Stunde ein, pries Gott und redete von ihm zu allen, die auf die Erlösung Jerusalems warteten.

Y ésta, sobreviniendo en la misma hora, juntamente confesaba al Señor, y hablaba de él á todos los que esperaban la redención en Jerusalem.

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Nachdem sie alles nach dem Gesetze des Herrn erfüllt hatten, begaben sie sich nach Galiläa in ihre Stadt Nazareth zurück.

And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

Das Kind wuchs heran, es erstarkte, ward voll Weisheit; die Liebe Gottes ruhte auf ihm.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

Und alle, die ihn hörten, waren außer sich über sein Verständnis und über seine Antworten.

Als sie ihn nun sahen, wunderten sie sich. Und seine Mutter sprach zu ihm: "Kind, warum hast du uns das getan? Siehe, dein Vater und ich haben dich mit Schmerzen gesucht."

Y cuando le vieron, se maravillaron; y díjole su madre: Hijo, ¿por qué nos has hecho así? He aquí, tu padre y yo te hemos buscado con dolor.

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

When they saw him, they were astonished; and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”

Er sprach zu ihnen: "Warum habt ihr mich gesucht? Wußtet ihr nicht, daß ich im Hause meines Vaters sein muß?"

Entonces él les dice: ¿Qué hay? ¿por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que en los negocios de mi Padre me conviene estar?

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Doch sie verstanden nicht, was er mit diesem Worte ihnen sagen wollte.

Mas ellos no entendieron las palabras que les habló.

And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.

Alsdann zog er mit ihnen nach Nazareth hinab und war ihnen untertan. Seine Mutter aber bewahrte alle diese Begebenheiten in ihrem Herzen.

Y descendió con ellos, y vino á Nazaret, y estaba sujeto á ellos. Y su madre guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón.

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Und Jesus nahm zu an Weisheit, Alter und Wohlgefallen bei Gott und den Menschen.
