Lucas 23

Et s'étant soulevés en foule ils le conduisirent devant Pilate.

LEVANTÁNDOSE entonces toda la multitud de ellos, lleváronle á Pilato.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.

Or ils se mirent à l'accuser en disant : « Nous avons trouvé celui-ci occupé à soulever notre nation, et empêchant de payer des impôts à l'empereur, et disant qu'il est lui-même Christ roi. »

Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

Or Pilate l'interrogea en disant : « Tu es le roi de Juifs ? »

Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndole él, dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.”

Et il lui répliqua : « C'est toi qui le dis. » Or Pilate dit aux grands prêtres et à la foule : « Je ne trouve rien de coupable chez cet homme. »

Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Mais ils insistaient, en disant : « Il agite le peuple, en enseignant dans toute la Judée, ayant même commencé par la Galilée jusques ici. »

Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”

A ces mots Pilate demanda : « L'homme est-il Galiléen ? »

Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan.

But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

Et ayant appris qu'il était de la juridiction d'Hérode, il le renvoya devant Hérode, qui se trouvait aussi à Jérusalem en ces jours-là.

Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

Or Hérode en voyant Jésus fut dans une grande joie, car dès longtemps il désirait le voir, à cause de ce qu'il avait ouï dire sur son compte, et il espérait voir quelque miracle opéré par lui.

Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.

Or il lui faisait subir un long interrogatoire, mais il ne répondait rien,

Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.

tandis que les grands prêtres et les scribes étaient là qui l'accusaient sans relâche.

Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

The chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.

Or, après qu'Hérode l'eut insulté et bafoué avec ses soldats, il le revêtit d'un brillant costume et le renvoya à Pilate.

Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

Or Hérode et Pilate devinrent ce jour même mutuellement amis, car auparavant il existait entre eux une inimitié réciproque.

Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.

Cependant Pilate, ayant convoqué les grands prêtres et les chefs, et le peuple,

Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,

leur dit : « Vous m'avez amené cet homme comme soulevant le peuple, et voici, après l'avoir examiné en votre présence, je ne l'ai, pour mon compte, trouvé coupable d'aucune des choses dont vous l'accusez ;

Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

mais Hérode non plus, car il nous l'a renvoyé ; et voici, il n'a rien fait qui soit digne de mort.

Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.

Après l'avoir donc fait châtier je le relâcherai. » [

Le soltaré, pues, castigado.

I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

Il était obligé de leur relâcher lors d'une fête un prisonnier.]

Y tenía necesidad de soltarles uno en cada fiesta.

(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.

Mais ils s'écriaient en foule : « Fais périr celui-ci, mais relâche-nous Barabbas. »

Mas toda la multitud dió voces á una, diciendo: Quita á éste, y suéltanos á Barrabás:

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

Cet homme avait été mis en prison à cause d'une sédition survenue dans la ville et d'un meurtre.

(El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)

(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

Mais Pilate s'adressa derechef à eux, parce qu'il désirait relâcher Jésus ;

Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

mais ils répondaient par des cris en disant : « Crucifie, crucifie-le. »

Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!”

Or il leur dit pour la troisième fois : « Eh ! quel mal a fait cet homme ? Je n'ai rien trouvé en lui qui mérite la mort ; après l'avoir donc fait châtier je le relâcherai. »

Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Mais ils insistaient en demandant à grands cris qu'il le crucifiât, et leurs cris prenaient le dessus,

Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

et Pilate prononça que leur requête était accordée ;

Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

et il leur relâcha celui qui avait été mis en prison pour sédition et pour meurtre, lequel ils réclamaient, tandis qu'il leur livra Jésus pour en faire ce qu'ils voulaient.

Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

Et comme ils l'emmenaient, ils se saisirent d'un certain Simon de Cyrène qui venait des champs, et ils le chargèrent de la croix pour la porter derrière Jésus.

Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry it after Jesus.

Or une nombreuse multitude de peuple le suivait, ainsi que beaucoup de femmes qui s'affligeaient et se lamentaient sur lui.

Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.

And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

Mais s'étant retourné vers elles, Jésus dit : « Filles, de Jérusalem, ne pleurez pas sur moi ; mais pleurez sur vous et sur vos enfants,

Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.

But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

car voici, des jours viennent où l'on dira : Heureuses les stériles, et les ventres qui n'ont point enfanté, et les mamelles qui n'ont point nourri !

Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’

Alors on commencera à dire aux montagnes : Tombez sur nous ! et aux coteaux : Cachez-nous !

Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.

Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’

Car si on fait ces choses à du bois vert, qu'adviendra-t-il à celui qui est sec ? »

Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?

For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?”

Or on emmenait aussi deux autres malfaiteurs pour être mis à mort avec lui.

Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

Et lorsqu'ils furent arrivés à l'endroit appelé Crâne, ils le crucifièrent là avec les malfaiteurs, l'un à droite et l'autre à gauche.

Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

Or se partageant ses vêtements, ils tirèrent au sort.

Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

Et le peuple se tenait là à regarder ; mais les chefs aussi se moquaient en disant : « Il en a sauvé d'autres, qu'il se sauve lui-même, s'il est le Fils, le Christ élu de Dieu ! »

Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

Les soldats s'avançant le bafouèrent aussi, en lui offrant du vinaigre,

Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,

And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

et en disant : « Si tu es le roi des Juifs, sauve-toi toi-même. »

Y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los Judíos, sálvate á ti mismo.

And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

Et il y avait encore au-dessus de lui pour inscription : Celui-ci est le roi des Juifs.

Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Or l'un des malfaiteurs pendus l'injuriait, en disant : « N'est-ce pas toi qui es le Christ ? Sauve-toi toi-même et nous aussi ! »

Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

Mais l'autre prenant la parole le réprimandait en disant : « Ne crains-tu point Dieu, car tu subis la même condamnation ?

Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Et quant à nous, ce n'est que justice, car nous recevons ce que méritent les choses que nous avons faites, tandis que celui-ci n'a rien fait de criminel. »

Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

Et il disait à Jésus : « Souviens-toi de moi quand tu seras entré dans ton royaume. »

Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

Et il lui dit : « En vérité je te le déclare, aujourd'hui tu seras avec moi dans le paradis. »

Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Et il était déjà environ la sixième heure, et des ténèbres survinrent sur toute la terre jusques à la neuvième heure,

Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

car le soleil s'éclipsait ; et le rideau du sanctuaire se déchira par le milieu.

Y el sol se obscureció: y el velo del templo se rompió por medio.

And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Et Jésus parlant à haute voix, dit : « Père, c'est en Tes mains que je remets mon esprit ! » Or en disant cela, il expira.

Entonces Jesús, clamando á gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, espiró.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.

Mais le centurion, voyant ce qui était advenu, glorifiait Dieu en disant : « Cet homme-ci était réellement juste. »

Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.”

Et toute la foule qui était venue là pour ce spectacle, ayant vu ce qui s'était passé, s'en retournait en se frappant la poitrine.

Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their chests.

Mais tous ceux de sa connaissance se tenaient dans l'éloignement, ainsi que les femmes qui l'accompagnaient depuis la Galilée, et elles contemplaient ces choses.

Mas todos sus conocidos, y las mujeres que le habían seguido desde Galilea, estaban lejos mirando estas cosas.

And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

All his acquaintances and the women who followed with him from Galilee stood at a distance, watching these things.

Et voici, un homme nommé Joseph, qui était sénateur, homme bon et juste,

Y he aquí un varón llamado José, el cual era senador, varón bueno y justo,

And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:

Behold, there was a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man

lequel n'avait point connivé à leur décision et à leur conduite, originaire d'Arimathée, ville des Juifs, qui attendait le royaume de Dieu…

(El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;

(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathæa, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom.

cet homme s'étant rendu auprès de Pilate réclama le corps de Jésus,

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

et l'ayant descendu il l'enveloppa d'un linceul et le déposa dans un sépulcre taillé dans le roc, où personne n'avait encore été mis.

Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.

And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

He took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been laid.

Et c'était le jour de la préparation, et le sabbat allait commencer.

Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near.

Or les femmes qui étaient venues avec lui de Galilée s'approchèrent pour regarder le sépulcre et la manière dont son corps y avait été déposé ;

Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

The women who had come with him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

et s'en étant retournées elles préparèrent des aromates et des parfums. Et pendant le sabbat elles demeurèrent en repos, selon la loi,

Y vueltas, aparejaron drogas aromáticas y ungüentos; y reposaron el sábado, conforme al mandamiento.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
