Los principales sacerdotes y los escribas discutieron cómo podían matar a Jesús, pues ellos tenían miedo de la gente.

And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

Ellos estaban contentos y acordaron darle dinero.

El día de los panes sin levadura llegó, en el cual el cordero de Pascua debía ser sacrificado.
Y vino el día de los ázimos, en el cual era necesario matar la pascua.
Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

Jesús envió a Pedro y Juan, diciéndoles: "Vayan y preparen para nosotros la comida de la Pascua, para comerla."
Y envió á Pedro y á Juan, diciendo: Id, aparejadnos la pascua para que comamos.
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
Ellos le preguntaron: "¿Dónde quieres que hagamos las preparaciones?"
Y ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde quieres que aparejemos?
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
Él les respondió; "Escuchen, cuando ustedes entren en la ciudad, un hombre que carga un cántaro de agua les encontrará. Síganlo hacia la casa que él entre.
Y él les dijo: He aquí cuando entrareis en la ciudad, os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua: seguidle hasta la casa donde entrare,
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
Entonces díganle al señor de la casa: 'El Maestro te dice: "¿Dónde es la habitación de huéspedes, donde Yo comeré la Pascua con mis discípulos?'"
Y decid al padre de la familia de la casa: El Maestro te dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde tengo de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?
And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
Él les mostrará una habitación superior amueblada. Hagan las preparaciones allí."
Entonces él os mostrará un gran cenáculo aderezado; aparejad allí.
And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
Así que ellos fueron, y hallaron todo como Él les había dicho. Entonces ellos prepararon la comida de la Pascua.
Fueron pues, y hallaron como les había dicho; y aparejaron la pascua.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
They went, found things as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
Cuando llegó la hora, Él se sentó con los apóstoles.
Y como fué hora, sentóse á la mesa, y con él los apóstoles.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.
Entonces Él les dijo: "Yo he deseado grandemente comer en esta Pascua con ustedes antes de que Yo sufra.
Y les dijo: En gran manera he deseado comer con vosotros esta pascua antes que padezca;
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
Porque Yo les digo a ustedes, Yo no la comeré otra vez, hasta que sea cumplida en el reino de Dios."
Porque os digo que no comeré más de ella, hasta que se cumpla en el reino de Dios.
For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”
Entonces Jesús tomó una copa y cuando hubo dado gracias dijo: "Tómenla, y compártanla entre ustedes.
Y tomando el vaso, habiendo dado gracias, dijo: Tomad esto, y partidlo entre vosotros;
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves,
Porque Yo les digo a ustedes, Yo no beberé del fruto de la viña otra vez, hasta que el reino de Dios venga."
Porque os digo, que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta que el reino de Dios venga.
For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”
Entonces Él tomó pan y cuando hubo dado gracias, lo partió, y lo dio a ellos, diciendo: "Este es mi cuerpo el cual es dado por ustedes. Hagan esto en memoria de Mí."
Y tomando el pan, habiendo dado gracias, partió, y les dió, diciendo: Esto es mi cuerpo, que por vosotros es dado: haced esto en memoria de mí.
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
Él tomó la copa de la misma manera después de la cena, diciendo: "Esta copa es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre, la cual es vertida por ustedes.
Asimismo también el vaso, después que hubo cenado, diciendo: Este vaso es el nuevo pacto en mi sangre, que por vosotros se derrama.
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
Pero presten atención. El que me traiciona está conmigo en la mesa.
Con todo eso, he aquí la mano del que me entrega, conmigo en la mesa.
But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

Pues el Hijo del Hombre ciertamente va como ha sido determinado. ¡Pero ay de aquel hombre por medio del cual Él es traicionado!"
Y á la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, según lo que está determinado; empero ¡ay de aquel hombre por el cual es entregado!
And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
Y ellos comenzaron a preguntarse entre sí, cuál de ellos sería el que haría tal cosa.
Ellos entonces comenzaron á preguntar entre sí, cuál de ellos sería el que había de hacer esto.
And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
They began to question among themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.
Entonces surgió una disputa entre ellos acerca de cual de ellos era considerado el más grande.
Y hubo entre ellos una contienda, quién de ellos parecía ser el mayor.
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

Él les dijo: "Los reyes de los gentiles tienen señorío sobre ellos, y aquellos que tienen autoridad sobre ellos, son llamados gobernantes honorables.
Entonces él les dijo: Los reyes de las gentes se enseñorean de ellas; y los que sobre ellas tienen potestad, son llamados bienhechores:
And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
Pero no debe ser así con ustedes. En cambio, dejen que el más grande entre ustedes sea como el menor. Y dejen que el que sea más importante sea como el que sirve.
Mas vosotros, no así: antes el que es mayor entre vosotros, sea como el más mozo; y el que es príncipe, como el que sirve.
But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
Porque, ¿cuál es mayor, el que se sienta a la mesa, o el que sirve? ¿No es el que se sienta a la mesa? Aún así, Yo estoy entre ustedes como uno que sirve.
Porque, ¿cuál es mayor, el que se sienta á la mesa, ó el que sirve? ¿No es el que se sienta á la mesa? Y yo soy entre vosotros como el que sirve.
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
Pero ustedes son los que han continuado conmigo en mis pruebas.
Empero vosotros sois los que habéis permanecido conmigo en mis tentaciones:
Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
“But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
Yo les doy a ustedes un reino, igual como mi Padre me ha dado un reino,
Yo pues os ordeno un reino, como mi Padre me lo ordenó á mí,
And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
que ustedes puedan comer y beber en mi mesa en mi reino. Y ustedes se sentarán en tronos juzgando a las doce tribus de Israel.
Para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi reino, y os sentéis sobre tronos juzgando á las doce tribus de Israel.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Simón, Simón, sé consciente, Satanás pidió tenerte, para cernirte como el trigo.
Dijo también el Señor: Simón, Simón, he aquí Satanás os ha pedido para zarandaros como á trigo;
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,
Pero Yo he orado por ti, para que tu fe no fallé. Después que regreses, fortalece a tus hermanos."
Mas yo he rogado por ti que tu fe no falte: y tú, una vez vuelto, confirma á tus hermanos.
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”
Pedro le dijo a Él: "Señor, yo estoy listo para ir contigo a ambos, a la prisión y a la muerte."
Y él le dijo: Señor, pronto estoy á ir contigo aun á cárcel y á muerte.
And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
Jesús replicó: "Yo te digo, Pedro, el gallo no cantará este día, antes que hayas negado tres veces que tú me conoces."
Y él dijo: Pedro, te digo que el gallo no cantará hoy antes que tú niegues tres veces que me conoces.
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
Luego Jesús le dijo a ellos: "Cuando yo les envié sin un bolso, un saco de provisión, o zapatos, ¿les faltó algo a ustedes?" Y ellos contestaron: "Nada."
Y á ellos dijo: Cuando os envié sin bolsa, y sin alforja, y sin zapatos, ¿os faltó algo? Y ellos dijeron: Nada.
And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, bag, and sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
Entonces Él les dijo: "Pero ahora, el que tiene bolso, que lo lleve y también un saco de provisiones. El que no tiene una espada debería vender su manto y comprar una.
Y les dijo: Pues ahora, el que tiene bolsa, tómela, y también la alforja, y el que no tiene, venda su capa y compre espada.
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
Pero Yo les digo, lo que está escrito acerca de Mí debe ser cumplido. 'Y ÉL FUE CONSIDERADO COMO UN DELINCUENTE.' Pues lo que ha sido predicho de Mí está siendo cumplido."
Porque os digo, que es necesario que se cumpla todavía en mí aquello que está escrito: Y con los malos fué contado: porque lo que está escrito de mí, cumplimiento tiene.
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me is being fulfilled.”
Entonces ellos dijeron: "¡Señor, mira! Aquí hay dos espadas." Y Él les dijo: "Eso es suficiente."
Entonces ellos dijeron: Señor, he aquí dos espadas. Y él les dijo: Basta.
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
Después de la cena, Jesús fue, como a menudo hacia, al Monte de los Olivos, y los discípulos lo siguieron.
Y saliendo, se fué, como solía, al monte de las Olivas; y sus discípulos también le siguieron.
And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

Cuando ellos llegaron, Él les dijo: "Oren para que ustedes no entren en tentación."
Y como llegó á aquel lugar, les dijo: Orad que no entréis en tentación.
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Él se fue lejos de ellos como a la distancia de un tiro de piedra, y se arrodilló y oró,

And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

diciendo: "Padre, si es Tu voluntad, remueve esta copa de mí. Nunca se haga Mi voluntad, sino que se haga la tuya."
Diciendo: Padre, si quieres, pasa este vaso de mí; empero no se haga mi voluntad, sino la tuya.
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
Entonces un ángel del cielo se le apareció fortaleciéndolo.
Y le apareció un ángel del cielo confortándole.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

Estando en agonía, Él oró más fervientemente y Su sudor se convirtió como grandes gotas de sangre cayendo hasta el suelo.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Cuando Él se levantó de Su oración, fue a los discípulos y los encontró durmiendo a causa de su tristeza,
Y como se levantó de la oración, y vino á sus discípulos, hallólos durmiendo de tristeza;
And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,
y les preguntó: "¿Por qué están durmiendo? Levántense y oren, para que no entren en tentación."
Y les dijo: ¿Por qué dormís? Levantaos, y orad que no entréis en tentación.
And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Cuando Él aún estaba hablando, he aquí una multitud apareció con Judas, uno de los doce, guiándolos. Él se acercó a Jesús para besarlo,

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared. He who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.
pero Jesús le dijo a él: "Judas, ¿estás traicionando al Hijo del Hombre con un beso?"
Entonces Jesús le dijo: Judas, ¿con beso entregas al Hijo del hombre?
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Cuando los que estaban alrededor de Jesús vieron lo que ocurría dijeron: "Señor, ¿deberíamos nosotros atacar con la espada?"
Y viendo los que estaban con él lo que había de ser, le dijeron: Señor, ¿heriremos á cuchillo?
When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
Entonces uno de ellos golpeó al sirviente del sumo sacerdote, y le cortó su oreja derecha.
Y uno de ellos hirió á un siervo del príncipe de los sacerdotes, y le quitó la oreja derecha.
And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Jesús dijo: "Esto es suficiente." Y Él tocó su oreja, y lo curó.
Entonces respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Dejad hasta aquí. Y tocando su oreja, le sanó.
And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
But Jesus answered, “Let me at least do this”—and he touched his ear and healed him.
Jesús dijo a los sacerdotes principales, capitanes del templo y a los ancianos que venían contra Él: "¿Ustedes vienen, como contra un ladrón, con espadas y garrotes?
Y Jesús dijo á los que habían venido á él, los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados del templo, y los ancianos: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos?
Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
Cuando Yo estaba diariamente con ustedes en el templo, ustedes no pusieron sus manos sobre Mí. Pero esta es su hora y de la autoridad de la oscuridad."
Habiendo estado con vosotros cada día en el templo, no extendisteis las manos contra mí; mas ésta es vuestra hora, y la potestad de las tinieblas.
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
Capturándolo, ellos lo dirigieron lejos y lo llevaron dentro de la casa del sumo sacerdote. Pedro los siguió desde una distancia.
Y prendiéndole trajéronle, y metiéronle en casa del príncipe de los sacerdotes. Y Pedro le seguía de lejos.
Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.
They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.
Despúes que ellos encendieron un fuego en medio del patio y se sentaron juntos, Pedro se sentó en medio de ellos.
Y habiendo encendido fuego en medio de la sala, y sentándose todos alrededor, se sentó también Pedro entre ellos.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

Una cierta criada lo vio mientras se sentaba a la luz del fuego y lo miró directamente y dijo: "Este hombre también estaba con Él."
Y como una criada le vió que estaba sentado al fuego, fijóse en él, y dijo: Y éste con él estaba.
But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
Pero Pedro lo negó, diciendo: "Mujer, yo no lo conozco."
Entonces él lo negó, diciendo: Mujer, no le conozco.
And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
He denied Jesus, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
Después de un tiempo alguien más lo vio y dijo: "Tú también eres uno de ellos." Pero Pedro dijo: "Hombre, no soy."
Y un poco después, viéndole otro, dijo: Y tú de ellos eras. Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no soy.
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
After a little while someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”
Cerca de una hora después otro hombre insistió y dijo: "Ciertamente este hombre también estaba con Él, porque él es galileo."
Y como una hora pasada otro afirmaba, diciendo: Verdaderamente también éste estaba con él, porque es Galileo.
And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilæan.
After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
Pero Pedro dijo: "Hombre, yo no sé lo que me estás diciendo." E inmediatamente, mientras él estaba hablando, un gallo cantó.
Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no sé qué dices. Y luego, estando él aún hablando, el gallo cantó.
And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
Girándose, el Señor miró a Pedro. Y Pedro recordó la palabra del Señor, cuando Él le dijo: "Antes que un gallo cante hoy tú me negarás tres veces."
Entonces, vuelto el Señor, miró á Pedro: y Pedro se acordó de la palabra del Señor como le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante, me negarás tres veces.
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
Saliendo, Pedro lloró amargamente.

Luego de vendarle los ojos, ellos le pidieron, diciéndole: "¡Profetiza! ¿Quién es el que te ha golpeado?"
Y cubriéndole, herían su rostro, y preguntábanle, diciendo: Profetiza quién es el que te hirió.
And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
Ellos hablaron muchas otras cosas en contra de Jesús, blasfemándolo.
Y decían otras muchas cosas injuriándole.
And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
Tan pronto como fue de día, los ancianos del pueblo se reunieron, ambos sacerdotes superiores y escribas. Ellos lo llevaron al Concilio,
Y cuando fué de día, se juntaron los ancianos del pueblo, y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y le trajeron á su concilio,
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
y dijeron: "Si tú eres el Cristo, dinos." Pero Él les dijo: "Si Yo les digo, ustedes no me creerán,
Diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Cristo? dínoslo. Y les dijo: Si os lo dijere, no creeréis;
Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
“If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
y si Yo les pregunto, ustedes no responderán.
Y también si os preguntare, no me responderéis, ni me soltaréis:
And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
Pero de ahora en adelante, el Hijo del Hombre estará sentado a la mano derecha del poder de Dios."
Mas después de ahora el Hijo del hombre se asentará á la diestra de la potencia de Dios.
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
Todos ellos dijeron: ¿Entonces Tú eres el Hijo de Dios?" Y Jesús les dijo: "Ustedes dicen que Yo lo soy."
Y dijeron todos: ¿Luego tú eres Hijo de Dios? Y él les dijo: Vosotros decís que yo soy.
Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”
Ellos dijeron: "¿Por qué nosotros aún necesitamos un testigo? Pues nosotros mismos hemos oído de Su propia boca."
Entonces ellos dijeron: ¿Qué más testimonio deseamos? porque nosotros lo hemos oído de su boca.
And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
