L'ange lui répondit : « Le Saint-Esprit viendra sur toi, et la puissance du Très-Haut te couvrira de son ombre. C'est pourquoi aussi le saint enfant qui naîtra de toi sera appelé Fils de Dieu.

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Car voici, lorsque la voix de ta salutation est parvenue à mes oreilles, l'enfant a tressailli d'allégresse dans mon sein !
Porque he aquí, como llegó la voz de tu salutación á mis oídos, la criatura saltó de alegría en mi vientre.
For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

Heureuse celle qui a cru, car il y aura un accomplissement des choses qui lui ont été dites de la part du Seigneur ! »
Y bienaventurada la que creyó, porque se cumplirán las cosas que le fueron dichas de parte del Señor.
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord!”
Marie dit : « Mon âme exalte le Seigneur.
Entonces María dijo: engrandece mi alma al Señor;
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

Mon esprit s'est réjoui en Dieu mon Sauveur,
Y mi espíritu se alegró en Dios mi Salvador.

car il a jeté les regards sur l'humble condition de sa servante. Car voici, désormais toutes les générations me diront bienheureuse.
Porque ha mirado á la bajeza de su criada; porque he aquí, desde ahora me dirán bienaventurada todas las generaciones.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Car Celui qui est puissant a fait pour moi de grandes choses. Saint est son nom.

Ses voisins et ses parents apprirent que le Seigneur avait fait éclater sa miséricorde envers elle, et ils se réjouirent avec elle.
Y oyeron los vecinos y los parientes que Dios había hecho con ella grande misericordia, y se alegraron con ella.
And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judæa.

Tous ceux qui les entendirent les gardèrent dans leur cœur, disant : « Que sera donc cet enfant ? » Et la main du Seigneur était avec lui.
Y todos los que las oían, las conservaban en su corazón, diciendo: ¿Quién será este niño? Y la mano del Señor estaba con él.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

et il nous a suscité une corne de salut dans la maison de son serviteur David
Y nos alzó un cuerno de salvación en la casa de David su siervo,
And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

(comme il l'avait annoncé par la bouche de ses saints prophètes des temps anciens),
Como habló por boca de sus santos profetas que fueron desde el principio:
As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

un salut qui nous délivre de nos ennemis et de la main de tous ceux qui nous haïssent ;
Salvación de nuestros enemigos, y de mano de todos los que nos aborrecieron;
That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us;
pour exercer sa miséricorde envers nos pères, et se souvenir de sa sainte alliance,
Para hacer misericordia con nuestros padres, y acordándose de su santo pacto;
To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,
du serment qu'il avait juré à Abraham, notre père,
Del juramento que juró á Abraham nuestro padre, que nos había de dar,
The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
the oath which he swore to Abraham our father,
de nous accorder, après avoir été délivrés de la main de nos ennemis, de le servir sans crainte,
Que sin temor librados de nuestros enemigos, le serviríamos
That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,
dans la sainteté et la justice devant lui, tous les jours de notre vie.
En santidad y en justicia delante de él, todos los días nuestros.
In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Et toi, petit enfant, tu seras appelé prophète du Très-Haut ; car tu marcheras devant la face du Seigneur pour préparer ses voies,

Dando conocimiento de salud á su pueblo, para remisión de sus pecados,
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

grâce à la tendre miséricorde de notre Dieu, par laquelle l'aurore venue d'en haut nous visitera,
Por las entrañas de misericordia de nuestro Dios, con que nos visitó de lo alto el Oriente,
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

pour éclairer ceux qui sont assis dans les ténèbres et dans l'ombre de la mort ; pour diriger nos pieds dans le chemin de la paix. »
Para dar luz á los que habitan en tinieblas y en sombra de muerte; para encaminar nuestros pies por camino de paz.
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Cependant, l'enfant grandissait et se fortifiait en esprit, et il vécut dans les déserts jusqu'au jour de sa manifestation à Israël.
Y el niño crecía, y se fortalecía en espíritu: y estuvo en los desiertos hasta el día que se mostró á Israel.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
The child was growing and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
