Lucas 15

Entonces todos los recolectores de impuestos y otros pecadores estaban viniendo a Jesús para escucharlo a Él.

Y SE llegaban á él todos los publicanos y pecadores á oirle.

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.

Ambos los fariseos y escribas murmuraban uno al otro, diciendo: "Este hombre le da la bienvenida a pecadores, y hasta come con ellos".

Y murmuraban los Fariseos y los escribas, diciendo: Este á los pecadores recibe, y con ellos come.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.”

Jesús les habló esta parábola a ellos, diciendo:

Y él les propuso esta parábola, diciendo:

And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

He told them this parable:

"¿Cuál de ustedes, si tiene cien ovejas y entonces pierde una de ellas, no dejará las noventa y nueve en el desierto, y va detrás de la perdida hasta que la encuentra?

¿Qué hombre de vosotros, teniendo cien ovejas, si perdiere una de ellas, no deja las noventa y nueve en el desierto, y va á la que se perdió, hasta que la halle?

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

“Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?

Luego cuando la encuentra, él la toma entre sus hombros y se regocija.

Y hallada, la pone sobre sus hombros gozoso;

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

Cuando él va a la casa, junta a sus amigos y vecinos, diciéndoles: 'Regocíjense conmigo, pues he encontrado mi oveja perdida.'

Y viniendo á casa, junta á los amigos y á los vecinos, diciéndoles: Dadme el parabién, porque he hallado mi oveja que se había perdido.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

Yo les digo aún más, habrá alegría en el cielo cuando un pecador se arrepiente, más que noventa y nueve personas justas que no necesitan arrepentirse.

Os digo, que así habrá más gozo en el cielo de un pecador que se arrepiente, que de noventa y nueve justos, que no necesitan arrepentimiento.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

O, ¿qué mujer que tiene diez monedas de plata, si ella perdiera una moneda, no prendería una lámpara, barrería la casa, y buscaría diligentemente hasta que ella la encuentre?

¿O qué mujer que tiene diez dracmas, si perdiere una dracma, no enciende el candil, y barre la casa, y busca con diligencia hasta hallarla?

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

“Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?

Y cuando ella la ha encontrado, ella llama a todos sus amigos y vecinos, diciéndoles: 'Regocíjense conmigo, pues he encontrado la moneda que yo había perdido'.

Y cuando la hubiere hallado, junta las amigas y las vecinas, diciendo: Dadme el parabién, porque he hallado la dracma que había perdido.

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost!’

Así les digo Yo a ustedes, hay gozo en la presencia de los ángeles de Dios por un pecador que se arrepiente".

Así os digo que hay gozo delante de los ángeles de Dios por un pecador que se arrepiente.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”

Luego Jesús dijo: "Cierto hombre tenía dos hijos,

Y dijo: Un hombre tenía dos hijos;

And he said, A certain man had two sons:

He said, “A certain man had two sons.

y el más joven le dijo a su padre: 'Padre, dame ahora toda la porción de bienes que me toca.' Así que él dividió sus propiedades entre ellos.

Y el menor de ellos dijo á su padre: Padre, dame la parte de la hacienda que me pertenece: y les repartió la hacienda.

And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of your property.’ So he divided his livelihood between them.

No muchos días más tarde, el más joven empacó todo lo que poseía y se fue para un país lejano, y allá él malgastó su dinero, comprando cosas que no necesitaba, y malgastando su dinero en una vida descontrolada.

Y no muchos días después, juntándolo todo el hijo menor, partió lejos á una provincia apartada; y allí desperdició su hacienda viviendo perdidamente.

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.

Entonces cuando él hubo gastado todo, una gran hambruna ocurrió en esa país, y él empezó a estar en necesidad.

Y cuando todo lo hubo malgastado, vino una grande hambre en aquella provincia, y comenzóle á faltar.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.

Él fue y solicitó trabajo a uno de los ciudadanos de ese país, quien lo envió a sus campos para alimentar cerdos.

Y fué y se llegó á uno de los ciudadanos de aquella tierra, el cual le envió á su hacienda para que apacentase los puercos.

And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.

Y él con gusto se hubiera comido las semillas de los algarrobos que los cerdos comían pues nadie le daba nada de comer.

Y deseaba henchir su vientre de las algarrobas que comían los puercos; mas nadie se las daba.

And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

He wanted to fill his belly with the pods that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.

Pero cuando el joven volvió en sí, él dijo: '¡Cuántos sirvientes que mi padre contrata tienen suficiente comida, y yo estoy aquí, muriendo de hambre!

Y volviendo en sí, dijo: ¡Cuántos jornaleros en casa de mi padre tienen abundancia de pan, y yo aquí perezco de hambre!

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!

Me voy de aquí e iré a mi padre, y le diré a él: "Padre, he pecado contra el cielo, y a tu vista.

Me levantaré, é iré á mi padre, y le diré: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo, y contra ti;

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.

Ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo; hazme como uno de tus sirvientes contratados".

Ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo; hazme como á uno de tus jornaleros.

And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’

Así que el hijo joven se marchó y vino hacia su padre. Mientras aún él estaba lejos, su padre lo vio, y se movió con compasión, y corrió, y lo abrazó y lo besó.

Y levantándose, vino á su padre. Y como aun estuviese lejos, viólo su padre, y fué movido á misericordia, y corrió, y echóse sobre su cuello, y besóle.

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

“He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.

El hijo le dijo a él: 'Padre, he pecado contra el cielo y a tu vista. No soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo.'

Y el hijo le dijo: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo, y contra ti, y ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo.

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

El padre le dijo a sus sirvientes: 'Traigan rápido la mejor túnica, y pónganla sobre él, y pongan un anillo en su mano, y sandalias en sus pies.

Mas el padre dijo á sus siervos: Sacad el principal vestido, y vestidle; y poned un anillo en su mano, y zapatos en sus pies.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

Luego traigan el becerro más engordado y mátenlo. ¡Celebremos con una fiesta!

Y traed el becerro grueso, y matadlo, y comamos, y hagamos fiesta:

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat and celebrate;

Pues mi hijo estaba muerto, y ahora está vivo. Él estaba perdido, y ahora fue encontrado'. Y ellos comenzaron a celebrar.

Porque este mi hijo muerto era, y ha revivido; habíase perdido, y es hallado. Y comenzaron á regocijarse.

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

for this, my son, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.

Ahora su hijo mayor estaba afuera en los campos. Mientras venía y se acercaba a la casa, él escuchó música y baile.

Y su hijo el mayor estaba en el campo; el cual como vino, y llegó cerca de casa, oyó la sinfonía y las danzas;

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

“Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

Él llamó a uno de los sirvientes y le preguntó qué cosas podrían ser estas.

Y llamando á uno de los criados, preguntóle qué era aquello.

And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

He called one of the servants to him and asked what was going on.

El sirviente le dijo a él: 'Tu hermano ha vuelto a casa y tu padre ha matado el carnero más gordo, debido a que él ha regresado seguro'.

Y él le dijo: Tu hermano ha venido; y tu padre ha muerto el becerro grueso, por haberle recibido salvo.

And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

He said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’

El hijo mayor estaba enojado, y no entró, su padre salió, y le suplicó a él.

Entonces se enojó, y no quería entrar. Salió por tanto su padre, y le rogaba que entrase.

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and begged him.

Pero el hijo mayor le contestó y le dijo a su padre: 'Mira, por muchos años yo me esclavicé para ti, y yo nunca rompí una de tus reglas, sin embargo tú nunca me diste un cabro joven para que yo pudiera celebrar con mis amigos,

Mas él respondiendo, dijo al padre: He aquí tantos años te sirvo, no habiendo traspasado jamás tu mandamiento, y nunca me has dado un cabrito para gozarme con mis amigos:

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.

pero cuando tu hijo, quien lo ha gastado viviendo con prostitutas, tú mataste para él, el carnero más gordo'.

Mas cuando vino éste tu hijo, que ha consumido tu hacienda con rameras, has matado para él el becerro grueso.

But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

But when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’

El padre le dijo al hijo: 'Hijo, tú siempre estás conmigo, y todo lo mío es tuyo.

El entonces le dijo: Hijo, tú siempre estás conmigo, y todas mis cosas son tuyas.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

“He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

Pero era lo propio para nosotros festejar y estar contentos, pues tu hermano estaba muerto, y ahora está vivo; él estaba perdido y ahora fue encontrado'".

Mas era menester hacer fiesta y holgarnos, porque este tu hermano muerto era, y ha revivido; habíase perdido, y es hallado.

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’”
