Lucas 15

Or tous les publicains et les pécheurs s'approchaient de lui pour l'entendre,

Y SE llegaban á él todos los publicanos y pecadores á oirle.

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him.

et les pharisiens et les scribes murmuraient en disant : « Celui-ci accueille des pécheurs et mange avec eux ! »

Y murmuraban los Fariseos y los escribas, diciendo: Este á los pecadores recibe, y con ellos come.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.”

Mais il leur adressa cette parabole-ci, en disant :

Y él les propuso esta parábola, diciendo:

And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

He told them this parable:

« Quel est parmi vous l'homme qui, possédant cent brebis, s'il vient à en perdre une, ne laisse les quatre-vingt-dix-neuf autres dans le désert, et n'aille après celle qui est perdue jusques à ce qu'il l'ait retrouvée ?

¿Qué hombre de vosotros, teniendo cien ovejas, si perdiere una de ellas, no deja las noventa y nueve en el desierto, y va á la que se perdió, hasta que la halle?

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

“Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?

Et, quand il l'a retrouvée, il la place tout joyeux sur ses épaules,

Y hallada, la pone sobre sus hombros gozoso;

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

et, de retour chez lui, il appelle ses amis et ses voisins, en leur disant : « Réjouissez-vous avec moi, car j'ai retrouvé ma brebis qui était perdue. »

Y viniendo á casa, junta á los amigos y á los vecinos, diciéndoles: Dadme el parabién, porque he hallado mi oveja que se había perdido.

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

Je vous déclare que, de même, il y aura plus de joie dans le ciel pour un seul pécheur qui se repent, que pour quatre-vingt-dix-neuf justes qui n'ont pas besoin de repentance.

Os digo, que así habrá más gozo en el cielo de un pecador que se arrepiente, que de noventa y nueve justos, que no necesitan arrepentimiento.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Ou bien, quelle est la femme qui, possédant dix drachmes, si elle vient à en perdre une, n'allume une lampe, et ne balaye sa maison, et ne cherche soigneusement jusques à ce qu'elle la retrouve ?

¿O qué mujer que tiene diez dracmas, si perdiere una dracma, no enciende el candil, y barre la casa, y busca con diligencia hasta hallarla?

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

“Or what woman, if she had ten drachma coins, if she lost one drachma coin, wouldn’t light a lamp, sweep the house, and seek diligently until she found it?

Et, après l'avoir trouvée, elle appelle ses amies et ses voisines, en disant : « Réjouissez-vous avec moi, car j'ai retrouvé la drachme que j'avais perdue. »

Y cuando la hubiere hallado, junta las amigas y las vecinas, diciendo: Dadme el parabién, porque he hallado la dracma que había perdido.

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost!’

De même, je vous le déclare, il y a de la joie devant les anges de Dieu pour un seul pécheur qui se repent. »

Así os digo que hay gozo delante de los ángeles de Dios por un pecador que se arrepiente.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”

Or il dit : « Un homme avait deux fils ;

Y dijo: Un hombre tenía dos hijos;

And he said, A certain man had two sons:

He said, “A certain man had two sons.

le plus jeune d'entre eux dit à son père : « Père, donne-moi la part de fortune qui me revient. » Et il leur partagea le bien.

Y el menor de ellos dijo á su padre: Padre, dame la parte de la hacienda que me pertenece: y les repartió la hacienda.

And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of your property.’ So he divided his livelihood between them.

Et, au bout de quelques jours, le plus jeune fils, ayant tout réalisé, partit pour un lointain pays, et là il dissipa sa fortune en vivant dans la débauche.

Y no muchos días después, juntándolo todo el hijo menor, partió lejos á una provincia apartada; y allí desperdició su hacienda viviendo perdidamente.

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living.

Mais quand il eut tout dépensé, une grande famine survint dans ce pays-là, et lui-même commença à se trouver dans le dénuement ;

Y cuando todo lo hubo malgastado, vino una grande hambre en aquella provincia, y comenzóle á faltar.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need.

et il s'en alla se mettre au service de l'un des citoyens de ce pays-là, et celui-ci l'envoya dans ses champs pour faire paître des pourceaux.

Y fué y se llegó á uno de los ciudadanos de aquella tierra, el cual le envió á su hacienda para que apacentase los puercos.

And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

Et il désirait se rassasier des gousses que mangeaient les pourceaux, et personne ne lui en donnait.

Y deseaba henchir su vientre de las algarrobas que comían los puercos; mas nadie se las daba.

And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

He wanted to fill his belly with the pods that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any.

Mais rentrant en lui-même il dit : Combien de mercenaires de mon père ont plus de pain qu'il ne leur en faut, tandis que moi je meurs ici de faim ;

Y volviendo en sí, dijo: ¡Cuántos jornaleros en casa de mi padre tienen abundancia de pan, y yo aquí perezco de hambre!

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough to spare, and I’m dying with hunger!

je m'en irai vers mon père et je lui dirai : « Père, j'ai péché contre le ciel et devant toi,

Me levantaré, é iré á mi padre, y le diré: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo, y contra ti;

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.

je ne suis plus digne d'être appelé ton fils ; traite-moi comme l'un de tes mercenaires. » Et il s'en alla vers son père.

Ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo; hazme como á uno de tus jornaleros.

And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.”’

Or, comme il était encore à distance, son père l'aperçut et fut touché de compassion, et étant accouru il se jeta à son col et lui donna un tendre baiser.

Y levantándose, vino á su padre. Y como aun estuviese lejos, viólo su padre, y fué movido á misericordia, y corrió, y echóse sobre su cuello, y besóle.

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

“He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.

Mais le fils lui dit : « Père, j'ai péché contre le ciel et devant toi, je ne suis plus digne d'être appelé ton fils ; traite-moi comme l'un de tes mercenaires. »

Y el hijo le dijo: Padre, he pecado contra el cielo, y contra ti, y ya no soy digno de ser llamado tu hijo.

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

Mais le père dit à ses esclaves : « Apportez vite une robe, la plus belle, et revêtez-le, et mettez un anneau à sa main, et des sandales à ses pieds,

Mas el padre dijo á sus siervos: Sacad el principal vestido, y vestidle; y poned un anillo en su mano, y zapatos en sus pies.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

et amenez le veau gras ; tuez-le, et que nous nous réjouissions en le mangeant,

Y traed el becerro grueso, y matadlo, y comamos, y hagamos fiesta:

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat and celebrate;

car mon fils que voici était mort et il a vécu ; il était perdu et il a été retrouvé. »

Porque este mi hijo muerto era, y ha revivido; habíase perdido, y es hallado. Y comenzaron á regocijarse.

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

for this, my son, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.

Et ils se mirent à se réjouir. Or son fils aîné était aux champs, et lorsqu'à son retour il approcha de la maison, il entendit de la musique et des danses,

Y su hijo el mayor estaba en el campo; el cual como vino, y llegó cerca de casa, oyó la sinfonía y las danzas;

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

“Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

et ayant appelé un des serviteurs il s'informait de ce que c'était.

Y llamando á uno de los criados, preguntóle qué era aquello.

And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

He called one of the servants to him and asked what was going on.

L'autre lui dit : « Ton frère est arrivé, et ton père a fait tuer le veau gras, parce qu'il l'a retrouvé en bonne santé. »

Y él le dijo: Tu hermano ha venido; y tu padre ha muerto el becerro grueso, por haberle recibido salvo.

And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

He said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’

Mais il se mit en colère et ne voulait pas entrer. Cependant son père étant sorti le sollicitait ;

Entonces se enojó, y no quería entrar. Salió por tanto su padre, y le rogaba que entrase.

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and begged him.

mais il répliqua à son père : « Voici, il y a un si grand nombre d'années que je te sers, et je n'ai jamais transgressé aucun de tes ordres, et tu ne m'as jamais donné un chevreau, pour que je me réjouisse avec mes amis ;

Mas él respondiendo, dijo al padre: He aquí tantos años te sirvo, no habiendo traspasado jamás tu mandamiento, y nunca me has dado un cabrito para gozarme con mis amigos:

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

But he answered his father, ‘Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.

mais quand ton fils que voici, qui a mangé ton bien avec des courtisanes, est arrivé, tu as fait tuer pour lui le veau gras ! »

Mas cuando vino éste tu hijo, que ha consumido tu hacienda con rameras, has matado para él el becerro grueso.

But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

But when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’

Mais il lui dit : « Mon enfant, tu es toujours avec moi, et tout ce qui est à moi t'appartient ;

El entonces le dijo: Hijo, tú siempre estás conmigo, y todas mis cosas son tuyas.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

“He said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

mais il fallait se réjouir et s'égayer, parce que ton frère que voici était mort et il a vécu, il était perdu et il a été retrouvé. »

Mas era menester hacer fiesta y holgarnos, porque este tu hermano muerto era, y ha revivido; habíase perdido, y es hallado.

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’”
