1Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Sage den Priestern, Aarons Söhnen, und sprich zu ihnen: Ein Priester soll sich an keinem Toten seines Volkes verunreinigen,
2außer an seinem nächsten Blutsverwandten, der ihm zugehört; an seiner Mutter, an seinem Vater, an seinem Sohn, an seiner Tochter, an seinem Bruder,
3und an seiner Schwester, die noch eine Jungfrau ist, die ihm nahesteht, weil sie noch keines Mannes Weib gewesen ist, an dieser mag er sich verunreinigen.
4Es soll sich der Vorgesetzte an seinem Volk nicht verunreinigen, damit er sich nicht entweihe.
5Sie sollen sich keine Glatze scheren auf ihrem Haupt, noch die Enden ihres Bartes stutzen, noch an ihrem Leibe Einschnitte machen.
6Sie sollen ihrem Gott heilig sein und den Namen ihres Gottes nicht entheiligen; denn sie opfern des HERRN Feueropfer, das Brot ihres Gottes, darum sollen sie heilig sein.
7Sie sollen keine Hure zum Weibe nehmen, auch keine Entehrte, noch eine, die von ihrem Mann verstoßen ist; denn der Priester ist heilig seinem Gott.
8Darum sollst du ihn für heilig halten; denn er opfert das Brot deines Gottes. Er soll dir heilig sein; denn heilig bin ich, der HERR, der euch heiligt.
9Wenn eines Priesters Tochter sich durch Unzucht entweiht, so hat sie ihren Vater entweiht; man soll sie mit Feuer verbrennen!
10Wer aber Hoherpriester ist unter seinen Brüdern, auf dessen Haupt das Salböl gegossen worden, und dem man die Hand gefüllt hat bei der Einkleidung, der soll sein Haupt nicht entblößen und seine Kleider nicht zerreißen.
11Er soll auch zu keinem Toten kommen und soll sich weder an seinem Vater noch an seiner Mutter verunreinigen.
12Er soll das Heiligtum nicht verlassen, noch das Heiligtum seines Gottes entheiligen; denn die Weihe des Salböls seines Gottes ist auf ihm; ich bin der HERR.
13Er soll eine Jungfrau zum Weibe nehmen.
14Eine Witwe, oder eine Verstoßene, oder eine Entehrte, oder eine Hure soll er nicht nehmen; sondern eine Jungfrau aus seinem Volk soll er zum Weibe nehmen,
15daß er seinen Samen nicht entweihe unter seinem Volk. Denn ich, der HERR, heilige ihn.
16Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach:
17Rede mit Aaron und sprich: Sollte jemand von deinen Nachkommen in ihren künftigen Geschlechtern mit irgend einem Gebrechen behaftet sein, so darf er sich nicht herzunahen, das Brot seines Gottes darzubringen.
18Nein, keiner, an dem ein Gebrechen ist, soll sich herzunahen, er sei blind oder lahm oder verstümmelt, oder habe ein zu langes Glied;
19auch keiner, der einen gebrochenen Fuß oder eine gebrochene Hand hat,
20oder der bucklig oder schwindsüchtig ist, oder der einen Fleck auf seinem Auge hat, oder die Krätze oder Flechten oder einen Hodenbruch.
21Wer nun von dem Samen Aarons, des Priesters, ein solches Gebrechen an sich hat, der soll sich nicht herzunahen, die Feueropfer des HERRN darzubringen; er hat ein Gebrechen; darum soll er das Brot seines Gottes nicht herzubringen, daß er es opfere.
22Doch darf er das Brot seines Gottes essen, vom Heiligen und vom Allerheiligsten.
23Aber zum Vorhang soll er nicht kommen, noch sich dem Altar nahen, weil er ein Gebrechen hat, daß er mein Heiligtum nicht entweihe; denn ich, der HERR, heilige sie.
24Und Mose sagte es Aaron und seinen Söhnen und allen Kindern Israel.

1Y JEHOVÁ dijo á Moisés: Habla á los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, y diles que no se contaminen por un muerto en sus pueblos.
2Mas por su pariente cercano á sí, por su madre, ó por su padre, ó por su hijo, ó por su hermano,
3O por su hermana virgen, á él cercana, la cual no haya tenido marido, por ella se contaminará.
4No se contaminará, porque es príncipe en sus pueblos, haciéndose inmundo.
5No harán calva en su cabeza, ni raerán la punta de su barba, ni en su carne harán rasguños.
6Santos serán á su Dios, y no profanarán el nombre de su Dios; porque los fuegos de Jehová y el pan de su Dios ofrecen: por tanto serán santos.
7Mujer ramera ó infame no tomarán: ni tomarán mujer repudiada de su marido: porque es santo á su Dios.
8Lo santificarás por tanto, pues el pan de tu Dios ofrece: santo será para ti, porque santo soy yo Jehová vuestro santificador.
9Y la hija del varón sacerdote, si comenzare á fornicar, á su padre amancilla: quemada será al fuego.
10Y el sumo sacerdote entre sus hermanos, sobre cuya cabeza fué derramado el aceite de la unción, y que hinchió su mano para vestir las vestimentas, no descubrirá su cabeza, ni romperá sus vestidos:
11Ni entrará donde haya alguna persona muerta, ni por su padre, ó por su madre se contaminará.
12Ni saldrá del santuario, ni contaminará el santuario de su Dios; porque la corona del aceite de la unción de su Dios está sobre él: Yo Jehová.
13Y tomará él mujer con su virginidad.
14Viuda, ó repudiada, ó infame, ó ramera, éstas no tomará: mas tomará virgen de sus pueblos por mujer.
15Y no amancillará su simiente en sus pueblos; porque yo Jehová soy el que los santifico.
16Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo:
17Habla á Aarón, y dile: El varón de tu simiente en sus generaciones, en el cual hubiere falta, no se allegará para ofrecer el pan de su Dios.
18Porque ningún varón en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará: varón ciego, ó cojo, ó falto, ó sobrado,
19O varón en el cual hubiere quebradura de pie ó rotura de mano,
20O corcovado, ó lagañoso, ó que tuviere nube en el ojo, ó que tenga sarna, ó empeine, ó compañón relajado;
21Ningún varón de la simiente de Aarón sacerdote, en el cual hubiere falta, se allegará para ofrecer las ofrendas encendidas de Jehová. Hay falta en él; no se allegará á ofrecer el pan de su Dios.
22El pan de su Dios, de lo muy santo y las cosas santificadas, comerá.
23Empero no entrará del velo adentro, ni se allegará al altar, por cuanto hay falta en él: y no profanará mi santuario, porque yo Jehová soy el que los santifico.
24Y Moisés habló esto á Aarón, y á sus hijos, y á todos los hijos de Israel.

1And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
2But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
3And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.
4But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.
7They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.
8Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.
9And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
10And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
11Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
12Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
13And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
14A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
15Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.
16And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
17Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
18For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
19Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
20Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
21No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.
24And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

1The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people,
2except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother,
3and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.
4He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5“‘They shall not shave their heads or shave off the corners of their beards or make any cuttings in their flesh.
6They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the bread of their God. Therefore they shall be holy.
7“‘They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane. A priest shall not marry a woman divorced from her husband; for he is holy to his God.
8Therefore you shall sanctify him, for he offers the bread of your God. He shall be holy to you, for I the LORD, who sanctify you, am holy.
9“‘The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father. She shall be burned with fire.
10“‘He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.
11He must not go in to any dead body, or defile himself for his father or for his mother.
12He shall not go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am the LORD.
13“‘He shall take a wife in her virginity.
14He shall not marry a widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute. He shall take a virgin of his own people as a wife.
15He shall not profane his offspring among his people, for I am the LORD who sanctifies him.’”
16The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
17“Say to Aaron, ‘None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect may approach to offer the bread of his God.
18For whatever man he is that has a defect, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
19or a man who has an injured foot, or an injured hand,
20or hunchbacked, or a dwarf, or one who has a defect in his eye, or an itching disease, or scabs, or who has damaged testicles.
21No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall come near to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire. Since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.
22He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a defect; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”
24So Moses spoke to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
