Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Y HABLÓ Jehová á Moisés, diciendo:
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
The LORD said to Moses,
“Speak to the ⌞Israelites⌟, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God.
Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.
You must not ⌞carry out⌟ the practices of the land of Egypt, in which you lived, and you must not ⌞carry out⌟ the practices of the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you; and you must not follow their statutes.
No haréis como hacen en la tierra de Egipto, en la cual morasteis; ni haréis como hacen en la tierra de Canaán, á la cual yo os conduzco; ni andaréis en sus estatutos.
After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived. You shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You shall not follow their statutes.
You must ⌞carry out⌟ my regulations, and you must observe my statutes by following them; I am Yahweh your God.
Mis derechos pondréis por obra, y mis estatutos guardaréis, andando en ellos: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
You shall do my ordinances. You shall keep my statutes and walk in them. I am the LORD your God.
And you shall observe my statutes and my regulations ⌞by which the person doing them shall live⌟; I am Yahweh.
Por tanto mis estatutos y mis derechos guardaréis, los cuales haciendo el hombre, vivirá en ellos: Yo Jehová.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am the LORD.
“ ‘⌞None⌟ of you shall approach anyone who is ⌞his close relative⌟ to expose nakedness; I am Yahweh.
Ningún varón se allegue á ninguna cercana de su carne, para descubrir su desnudez: Yo Jehová.
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
“‘None of you shall approach any close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
You must not expose your father’s nakedness or your mother’s nakedness—she is your mother; you must not expose her nakedness.
La desnudez de tu padre, ó la desnudez de tu madre, no descubrirás: tu madre es, no descubrirás su desnudez.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
You must not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife—it is your father’s nakedness.
La desnudez de la mujer de tu padre no descubrirás; es la desnudez de tu padre.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife. It is your father’s nakedness.
As for your sister’s nakedness, whether your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether ⌞born at home⌟ or ⌞born abroad⌟, you must not expose their nakedness.
La desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre, ó hija de tu madre, nacida en casa ó nacida fuera, su desnudez no descubrirás.
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad.
As for the nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, you must not expose their nakedness, because they are your nakedness.
La desnudez de la hija de tu hijo, ó de la hija de tu hija, su desnudez no descubrirás, porque es la desnudez tuya.
The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness; for theirs is your own nakedness.
As for the nakedness of the daughter of your father’s wife, she is your sister, a relative of your father; you must not expose her nakedness.
La desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, tu hermana es, su desnudez no descubrirás.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
You must not expose the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is ⌞your father’s close relative⌟.
La desnudez de la hermana de tu padre no descubrirás: es parienta de tu padre.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister. She is your father’s near kinswoman.
You must not expose the nakedness of your mother’s sister, because she is ⌞your mother’s close relative⌟.
La desnudez de la hermana de tu madre no descubrirás: porque parienta de tu madre es.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
You must not expose the nakedness of your father’s brother; you must not ⌞have sex with⌟ his wife—she is your aunt.
La desnudez del hermano de tu padre no descubrirás: no llegarás á su mujer: es mujer del hermano de tu padre.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife. She is your aunt.
You must not expose your daughter-in-law’s nakedness; she is your son’s wife; you must not expose her nakedness.
La desnudez de tu nuera no descubrirás: mujer es de tu hijo; no descubrirás su desnudez.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
You must not expose the nakedness of your brother’s wife; she is your brother’s nakedness.
La desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano no descubrirás: es la desnudez de tu hermano.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness.
You must not expose the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, or her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter; you must not take her as wife to expose her nakedness; they are ⌞close relatives⌟—that is wickedness.
La desnudez de la mujer y de su hija no descubrirás: no tomarás la hija de su hijo, ni la hija de su hija, para descubrir su desnudez: son parientas, es maldad.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near kinswomen. It is wickedness.
And you must not take as wife a woman with her sister, to be a rival-wife, to expose her nakedness before her ⌞during⌟ her life.
No tomarás mujer juntamente con su hermana, para hacerla su rival, descubriendo su desnudez delante de ella en su vida.
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
“‘You shall not take a wife in addition to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is still alive.
“ ‘And you must not ⌞have sex with⌟ a woman to expose her nakedness ⌞during⌟ her menstrual uncleanness.
Y no llegarás á la mujer en el apartamiento de su inmundicia, para descubrir su desnudez.
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
And ⌞you must not have sex⌟ with your fellow citizen’s wife, becoming unclean with her.
Además, no tendrás acto carnal con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote en ella.
Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.
“ ‘And you shall not give ⌞any of⌟ your offspring in order to sacrifice them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am Yahweh.
Y no des de tu simiente para hacerla pasar por el fuego á Moloch; no contamines el nombre de tu Dios: Yo Jehová.
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
“‘You shall not give any of your children as a sacrifice to Molech. You shall not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
And you shall not lie with a male as lying ⌞with⌟ a woman; that is a detestable thing.
No te echarás con varón como con mujer: es abominación.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
“‘You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. That is detestable.
And you shall not ⌞have sexual relations⌟ with any animal, becoming unclean with it; and a woman shall not stand ⌞before⌟ an animal to copulate with it—that is a perversion.
Ni con ningún animal tendrás ayuntamiento amancillándote con él; ni mujer alguna se pondrá delante de animal para ayuntarse con él: es confusión.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. No woman may give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
“ ‘You must not make yourself unclean in any of these things, because the nations whom I am driving out from your presence were made unclean by all of these.
En ninguna de estas cosas os amancillaréis; porque en todas estas cosas se han ensuciado las gentes que yo echo de delante de vosotros:
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
So the land became unclean, and ⌞I have brought the punishment of⌟ its guilt upon it, and the land has vomited out its inhabitants.
Y la tierra fué contaminada; y yo visité su maldad sobre ella, y la tierra vomitó sus moradores.
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
The land was defiled. Therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
But you (neither the native nor the alien who is dwelling in your midst) shall keep my statutes and my regulations, and you shall not ⌞practice⌟ any of these detestable things
Guardad, pues, vosotros mis estatutos y mis derechos, y no hagáis ninguna de todas estas abominaciones: ni el natural ni el extranjero que peregrina entre vosotros.
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you
(because the people of the land, who were ⌞before you⌟, did all these detestable things, so the land became unclean),
(Porque todas estas abominaciones hicieron los hombres de la tierra, que fueron antes de vosotros, y la tierra fué contaminada:)
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
(for the men of the land that were before you had done all these abominations, and the land became defiled),
so that the land will not vomit you out when you make it unclean just as it vomited out the nation that was ⌞before you⌟.
Y la tierra no os vomitará, por haberla contaminado, como vomitó á la gente que fué antes de vosotros.
That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
Indeed, anyone who does any of these detestable things, even those persons who do so shall be cut off from the midst of their people.
Porque cualquiera que hiciere alguna de todas estas abominaciones, las personas que las hicieren, serán cortadas de entre su pueblo.
For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
Thus you shall keep my obligation to not do any of the statutes ⌞regarding⌟ the detestable things that they did ⌞before you⌟, so that you will not make yourselves unclean by them; I am Yahweh your God.’ ”
Guardad, pues, mi ordenanza, no haciendo de las prácticas abominables que tuvieron lugar antes de vosotros, y no os ensuciéis en ellas: Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.
Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.’”
