Amados, mientras hacía todo esfuerzo para escribirles acerca de nuestra salvación en común, yo les tenía que escribir para exhortarlos a luchar esforzadamente por la fe que una vez le fue dada a los creyentes.
Amados, por la gran solicitud que tenía de escribiros de la común salud, me ha sido necesario escribiros amonestándoos que contendáis eficazmente por la fe que ha sido una vez dada á los santos.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Porque ciertos hombres se han metido secretamente entre ustedes. Estos son hombres que fueron marcados para la condenación. Ellos son hombres impíos, quienes pervirtieron la gracia de nuestro Dios en sensualidad, y niegan a nuestro único Amo y Señor, Jesucristo.
Porque algunos hombres han entrado encubiertamente, los cuales desde antes habían estado ordenados para esta condenación, hombres impíos, convirtiendo la gracia de nuestro Dios en disolución, y negando á Dios que solo es el que tiene dominio, y á nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ahora les quiero recordar, aunque ustedes una vez lo sabían todo, que el Señor salvó a una gente sacándolos de la tierra de Egipto, pero que después destruyó a aquellos que no creyeron.
Os quiero pues amonestar, ya que alguna vez habéis sabido esto, que el Señor habiendo salvado al pueblo de Egipto, después destruyó á los que no creían:

También ángeles que no guardaron su propia posición de autoridad, pero abandonaron su morada correcta, Dios los ha mantenido en cadenas eternas, en la más absoluta oscuridad, para el juicio en el gran día.
Y á los ángeles que no guardaron su dignidad, mas dejaron su habitación, los ha reservado debajo de oscuridad en prisiones eternas hasta el juicio del gran día:
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Es como Sodoma y Gomorra y las ciudades a su alrededor, que en manera similar se dieron a sí mismos a inmoralidad sexual y persiguieron deseos antinaturales. Fueron exhibidos como ejemplo de esos quienes sufren el castigo en el fuego eterno.
Como Sodoma y Gomorra, y las ciudades comarcanas, las cuales de la misma manera que ellos habían fornicado, y habían seguido la carne extraña, fueron puestas por ejemplo, sufriendo el juicio del fuego eterno.

De igual manera, estos soñadores también contaminan sus cuerpos. Rechazan la autoridad, y hablan difamaciones en contra de los gloriosos.
De la misma manera también estos soñadores amancillan la carne, y menosprecian la potestad, y vituperan las potestades superiores.
Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Estos son aquellos que son arrecifes ocultos en sus fiestas de amor. Ellos festejan desvergonzadamente, alimentándose solo ellos mismos. Ellos son nubes sin agua, llevadas por vientos. Ellos son árboles de otoño sin fruto, doblemente muertos, arrancados por las raíces.
Estos son manchas en vuestros convites, que banquetean juntamente, apacentándose á sí mismos sin temor alguno: nubes sin agua, las cuales son llevadas de acá para allá de los vientos: árboles marchitos como en otoño, sin fruto, dos veces muertos y desarraigados;
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Son olas violentas en el mar, espumeando su propia vergüenza. Son estrellas errantes, para quienes la oscuridad de las tinieblas ha sido reservada para siempre.

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.

Ellos les dijeron a ustedes: "En el último tiempo habrán burladores, quienes van tras sus propios deseos impíos."

Estos son personas divisivas; son mundanos, y no tienen el Espíritu.

Salven a otros arrebatándolos del fuego. A otros muestren misericordia con temor. Odien aún las vestiduras manchadas por la carne.
Mas haced salvos á los otros por temor, arrebatándolos del fuego; aborreciendo aun la ropa que es contaminada de la carne.
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Ahora a Aquél que es capaz de mantenerlos sin tropezar, y para hacerlos pararse ante Su gloriosa presencia, sin mancha y con gran gozo,

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

al único Dios nuestro Salvador, por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor, sea gloria, majestad, dominio y poder, ante todo tiempo, ahora, y por siempre. Amén.
