1Judas, Knecht Jesu Christi, Bruder aber des Jakobus, an die Berufenen, die in Gott, dem Vater, geliebt und durch Jesus Christus bewahrt sind:
2Barmherzigkeit, Friede und Liebe widerfahre euch mehr und mehr!
3Geliebte, da es mir ein großes Anliegen ist, euch von unsrem gemeinsamen Heil zu schreiben, halte ich es für notwendig, euch zu schreiben mit der Ermahnung, daß ihr für den Glauben kämpfet, der den Heiligen ein für allemal übergeben worden ist.
4Es haben sich nämlich etliche Menschen eingeschlichen, für die schon längst folgendes Urteil geschrieben worden ist: «Gottlose, welche die Gnade unsres Gottes in Ausgelassenheit verkehren und den einzigen Herrscher und Herrn, Jesus Christus, verleugnen.»
5Ich will euch aber daran erinnern, obschon ihr alles schon einmal wußtet, daß der Herr, nachdem er das Volk aus dem Lande Ägypten errettet hatte, das zweitemal diejenigen vertilgte, die nicht glaubten,
6und daß er die Engel, welche ihr Fürstentum nicht bewahrten, sondern ihre eigene Behausung verließen, für das Gericht des großen Tages mit ewigen Banden unter der Finsternis verwahrt hat;
7wie Sodom und Gomorra und die umliegenden Städte, die in gleicher Weise wie diese die Unzucht bis aufs äußerste trieben und anderem Fleisch nachgingen, nun als Beispiel vor uns liegen, indem sie die Strafe eines ewigen Feuers erleiden.
8Trotzdem beflecken auch diese in gleicher Weise mit ihren Träumereien das Fleisch, verachten die Herrschaft und lästern die Majestäten.
9Der Erzengel Michael dagegen, als er mit dem Teufel in Streit geriet und über den Leib Moses verhandelte, wagte kein lästerndes Urteil zu fällen, sondern sprach: «Der Herr strafe dich!»
10Diese aber lästern alles, was sie nicht verstehen; was sie aber von Natur wie die unvernünftigen Tiere wissen, darin verderben sie sich.
11Wehe ihnen, denn sie sind den Weg Kains gegangen und haben sich durch den betrüglichen Lohn Bileams verlocken lassen und sind durch die Widersetzlichkeit Koras ins Verderben geraten!
12Das sind die, welche bei euren Liebesmahlen in anstößiger Weise miteinander schmausen, indem sie ohne Scheu sich selbst weiden, Wolken ohne Wasser, von Winden umhergetrieben, unfruchtbare Bäume im Spätherbst, zweimal erstorben und entwurzelt,
13wilde Wellen des Meeres, die ihre eigene Schande ausschäumen, Irrsterne, welchen das Dunkel der Finsternis in Ewigkeit aufbehalten ist.
14Es hat aber auch von diesen Enoch, der siebente nach Adam, geweissagt mit den Worten:
15«Siehe, der Herr ist gekommen mit seinen heiligen Zehntausenden, um Gericht zu halten über alle und alle Gottlosen zu strafen wegen all ihrer gottlosen Taten, womit sie sich vergangen, und wegen aller harten Worte, welche die gottlosen Sünder gegen ihn geredet haben.»
16Das sind Unzufriedene, die mit ihrem Schicksal hadern und dabei nach ihren Lüsten wandeln; und ihr Mund redet übertriebene Worte, wenn sie dem Nutzen zuliebe ins Angesicht schmeicheln.
17Ihr aber, Geliebte, gedenket der Worte, die zum voraus von den Aposteln unsres Herrn Jesus Christus gesprochen worden sind,
18als sie euch sagten: «In den letzten Zeiten werden Spötter auftreten, die nach ihren eigenen gottlosen Lüsten wandeln.»
19Das sind die, welche sich absondern, seelische Menschen, die den Geist nicht haben.
20Ihr aber, Geliebte, erbauet euch selbst auf euren allerheiligsten Glauben und betet im heiligen Geist;
21bewahret euch selbst in der Liebe Gottes und hoffet auf die Barmherzigkeit unsres Herrn Jesus Christus zum ewigen Leben.
22Und weiset diejenigen zurecht, welche sich trennen;
23andere aber rettet, indem ihr sie aus dem Feuer reißet, und wieder anderer erbarmet euch aus Furcht, wobei ihr auch den vom Fleische befleckten Rock hassen sollt.
24Dem aber, welcher mächtig genug ist, euch ohne Fehl zu bewahren und euch unsträflich, mit Freuden vor das Angesicht seiner Herrlichkeit zu stellen,
25Gott allein, unsrem Retter durch Jesus Christus, unsren Herrn, gebührt Herrlichkeit, Majestät, Macht und Gewalt vor aller Zeit, jetzt und in alle Ewigkeit! Amen.

1JUDAS, siervo de Jesucristo, y hermano de Jacobo, á los llamados, santificados en Dios Padre, y conservados en Jesucristo:
2Misericordia, y paz, y amor os sean multiplicados.
3Amados, por la gran solicitud que tenía de escribiros de la común salud, me ha sido necesario escribiros amonestándoos que contendáis eficazmente por la fe que ha sido una vez dada á los santos.
4Porque algunos hombres han entrado encubiertamente, los cuales desde antes habían estado ordenados para esta condenación, hombres impíos, convirtiendo la gracia de nuestro Dios en disolución, y negando á Dios que solo es el que tiene dominio, y á nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
5Os quiero pues amonestar, ya que alguna vez habéis sabido esto, que el Señor habiendo salvado al pueblo de Egipto, después destruyó á los que no creían:
6Y á los ángeles que no guardaron su dignidad, mas dejaron su habitación, los ha reservado debajo de oscuridad en prisiones eternas hasta el juicio del gran día:
7Como Sodoma y Gomorra, y las ciudades comarcanas, las cuales de la misma manera que ellos habían fornicado, y habían seguido la carne extraña, fueron puestas por ejemplo, sufriendo el juicio del fuego eterno.
8De la misma manera también estos soñadores amancillan la carne, y menosprecian la potestad, y vituperan las potestades superiores.
9Pero cuando el arcángel Miguel contendía con el diablo, disputando sobre el cuerpo de Moisés, no se atrevió á usar de juicio de maldición contra él, sino que dijo: El Señor te reprenda.
10Pero éstos maldicen las cosas que no conocen; y las cosas que naturalmente conocen, se corrompen en ellas, como bestias brutas.
11¡Ay de ellos! porque han seguido el camino de Caín, y se lanzaron en el error de Balaam por recompensa, y perecieron en la contradicción de Coré.
12Estos son manchas en vuestros convites, que banquetean juntamente, apacentándose á sí mismos sin temor alguno: nubes sin agua, las cuales son llevadas de acá para allá de los vientos: árboles marchitos como en otoño, sin fruto, dos veces muertos y desarraigados;
13Fieras ondas de la mar, que espuman sus mismas abominaciones; estrellas erráticas, á las cuales es reservada eternalmente la oscuridad de las tinieblas.
14De los cuales también profetizó Enoc, séptimo desde Adam, diciendo: He aquí, el Señor es venido con sus santos millares,
15A hacer juicio contra todos, y á convencer á todos los impíos de entre ellos tocante á todas sus obras de impiedad que han hecho impíamente, y á todas las cosas duras que los pecadores impíos han hablado contra él.
16Estos son murmuradores, querellosos, andando según sus deseos; y su boca habla cosas soberbias, teniendo en admiración las personas por causa del provecho.
17Mas vosotros, amados, tened memoria de las palabras que antes han sido dichas por los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
18Como os decían: Que en el postrer tiempo habría burladores, que andarían según sus malvados deseos.
19Estos son los que hacen divisiones, sensuales, no teniendo el Espíritu.
20Mas vosotros, oh amados, edificándoos sobre vuestra santísima fe, orando por el Espíritu Santo,
21Conservaos en el amor de Dios, esperando la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, para vida eterna.
22Y recibid á los unos en piedad, discerniendo:
23Mas haced salvos á los otros por temor, arrebatándolos del fuego; aborreciendo aun la ropa que es contaminada de la carne.
24A aquel, pues, que es poderoso para guardaros sin caída, y presentaros delante de su gloria irreprensibles, con grande alegría,
25Al Dios solo sabio, nuestro Salvador, sea gloria y magnificencia, imperio y potencia, ahora y en todos los siglos. Amén.

1Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

1Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:
2May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
3Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
4For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
5Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn’t believe.
6Angels who didn’t keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.
9But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”
10But these speak evil of whatever things they don’t know. They are destroyed in these things that they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason.
11Woe to them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in Korah’s rebellion.
12These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.
14About these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones,
15to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
16These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts—and their mouth speaks proud things—showing respect of persons to gain advantage.
17But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”
19These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.
20But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
21Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
22On some have compassion, making a distinction,
23and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.
24Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,
25to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
