29Und den König von Ai hängte er an einem Baume auf bis zur Zeit des Abends, und da die Sonne unterging, gebot Joschua, daß sie seinen Leichnam vom Baume abnehmen und an den Eingang des Stadttores werfen sollten. Und sie richteten einen großen Steinhaufen über ihm, bis auf diesen Tag.

29Mas al rey de Hai colgó de un madero hasta la tarde: y como el sol se puso, mandó Josué que quitasen del madero su cuerpo, y lo echasen á la puerta de la ciudad: y levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, hasta hoy.

29And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.

29He hanged the king of Ai on a tree until the evening. At sundown, Joshua commanded, and they took his body down from the tree and threw it at the entrance of the gate of the city, and raised a great heap of stones on it that remains to this day.
