Et ils retournèrent vers Josué, et lui dirent : Que tout le peuple ne monte point ; que 2 000 ou 3 000 hommes environ montent, et ils frapperont Aï. Ne fatigue pas tout le peuple en l’envoyant là ; car ils sont peu nombreux.
Y volviendo á Josué, dijéronle: No suba todo el pueblo, mas suban como dos mil ó como tres mil hombres, y tomarán á Hai: no fatigues á todo el pueblo allí, porque son pocos.
And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.
They returned to Joshua, and said to him, “Don’t let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and strike Ai. Don’t make all the people to toil there, for there are only a few of them.”
