Josué 5

Quando adunque tutti i re degli Amorrhei abitanti di là dal Giordano verso occidente, e tutti i re di Canaan, che eran signori de' luoghi vicini al mar grande, ebbero udito, come il Signore avea asciugata la corrente del Giordano dinanzi a' figliuoli d'Israele, finchè fosser passati, si sbigottiron di cuore, e non rimase in essi vigore pella paura dell'arrivo de' figliuoli d'Israele.

Y CUANDO todos los reyes de los Amorrheos, que estaban de la otra parte del Jordán al occidente, y todos los reyes de los Cananeos, que estaban cerca de la mar, oyeron como Jehová había secado las aguas del Jordán delante de los hijos de Israel hasta que hubieron pasado, desfalleció su corazón, y no hubo más espíritu en ellos delante de los hijos de Israel.

And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.

When all the kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, who were by the sea, heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, their heart melted, and there was no more spirit in them, because of the children of Israel.

Allora il Signore disse a Giosuè: Fatti de' coltelli di pietra, e di nuovo circoncidi i figliuoli d'Israele.

En aquel tiempo Jehová dijo á Josué: Hazte cuchillos afilados, y vuelve á circuncidar la segunda vez á los hijos de Israel.

At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.

At that time, the LORD said to Joshua, “Make flint knives, and circumcise again the sons of Israel the second time.”

Fece egli il comando del Signore, e circoncise i figliuoli d'Israele sul colle della circoncisione.

Y Josué se hizo cuchillos afilados, y circuncidó á los hijos de Israel en el monte de los prepucios.

And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.

Joshua made himself flint knives, and circumcised the sons of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.

Or ecco il motivo della seconda circoncisione: Tutto il popolo di sesso mascolino che uscì dall'Egitto, tutti gli uomini atti alle armi perirono nel deserto nel giro lunghissimo de' loro viaggi;

Esta es la causa por la cual Josué los circuncidó: todo el pueblo que había salido de Egipto, los varones, todos los hombres de guerra, habían muerto en el desierto por el camino, después que salieron de Egipto.

And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.

E questi erano tutti circoncisi. Ma il popolo nato nel deserto

Porque todos los del pueblo que habían salido, estaban circuncidados: mas todo el pueblo que había nacido en el desierto por el camino, después que salieron de Egipto, no estaban circuncidados.

Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.

For all the people who came out were circumcised; but all the people who were born in the wilderness along the way as they came out of Egypt had not been circumcised.

Ne' quarant'anni di viaggio per quella vastissima solitudine rimase incirconciso, per sino a tanto che fossero consunti coloro che non avevano ascoltato le voci del Signore, e a' quali avea prima giurato di non far loro vedere la terra, che scorreva latte e miele.

Porque los hijos de Israel anduvieron por el desierto cuarenta años, hasta que toda la gente de los hombres de guerra que habían salido de Egipto, fué consumida, por cuanto no obedecieron á la voz de Jehová; por lo cual Jehová les juró que no les dejaría ver la tierra, de la cual Jehová había jurado á sus padres que nos la daría, tierra que fluye leche y miel.

For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn’t listen to the LORD’s voice. The LORD swore to them that he wouldn’t let them see the land which the LORD swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Succedettero i figliuoli di questi nel luogo de' padri loro, e furono circoncisi da Giosuè: perocché erano incirconcisi, quali eran nati, e nissuno gli avea circoncisi nel viaggio.

Y los hijos de ellos, que él había hecho suceder en su lugar, Josué los circuncidó; pues eran incircuncisos, porque no habían sido circuncidados por el camino.

And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.

E circoncisi che furon tutti, restarono cogli alloggiamenti nel medesimo luogo, fino a tanto che fosser guariti.

Y cuando hubieron acabado de circuncidar toda la gente, quedáronse en el mismo lugar en el campo, hasta que sanaron.

And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.

When they were done circumcising the whole nation, they stayed in their places in the camp until they were healed.

E il Signore disse a Giosuè: Oggi io ho levato da voi l'obbrobrio d'Egitto. E fu dato a quel luogo il nome di Galgala, come anche in oggi si appella.

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: Hoy he quitado de vosotros el oprobio de Egipto: por lo cual el nombre de aquel lugar fué llamado Gilgal, hasta hoy.

And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.

The LORD said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore the name of that place was called Gilgal to this day.

E si fermarono i figliuoli d'Israele in Galgala, e vi fecer la Pasqua a' quattordici del mese alla sera nelle pianure di Gerico:

Y los hijos de Israel asentaron el campo en Gilgal, y celebraron la pascua á los catorce días del mes, por la tarde, en los llanos de Jericó.

And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.

E il dì seguente mangiarono i pani azzimi fatti di frumento del paese, e la farina dello stesso anno.

Y al otro día de la pascua comieron del fruto de la tierra los panes sin levadura, y en el mismo día espigas nuevas tostadas.

And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.

They ate unleavened cakes and parched grain of the produce of the land on the next day after the Passover, in the same day.

E mancò la manna dopoché ebber mangiato de' frutti della terra, e non usaron più di tal cibo i figliuoli d'Israele; ma si cibarono delle biade della terra di Canaan nate lo stesso anno.

Y el maná cesó el día siguiente, desde que comenzaron á comer del fruto de la tierra: y los hijos de Israel nunca más tuvieron maná, sino que comieron de los frutos de la tierra de Canaán aquel año.

And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

The manna ceased on the next day, after they had eaten of the produce of the land. The children of Israel didn’t have manna any more, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

Or trovandosi Giosuè ne' contorni della città di Gerico, alzò gli occhi, e vide dirimpetto a sé un uomo in piedi colla spada sguainata, e andò verso di lui, e gli disse: Se' tu de' nostri, o de' nemici?

Y estando Josué cerca de Jericó, alzó sus ojos, y vió un varón que estaba delante de él, el cual tenía una espada desnuda en su mano. Y Josué yéndose hacia él, le dijo: ¿Eres de los nuestros, ó de nuestros enemigos?

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man stood in front of him with his sword drawn in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our enemies?”

E quegli rispose: No, ma io sono il principe dell'esercito del Signore, e ora io vengo...

Y él respondió: No; mas Príncipe del ejército de Jehová, ahora he venido. Entonces Josué postrándose sobre su rostro en tierra le adoró; y díjole: ¿Qué dice mi Señor á su siervo?

And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

He said, “No; but I have come now as commander of the LORD’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him, “What does my lord say to his servant?”

Cadde Giosuè boccone per terra, e adorandolo disse: Che è quello che il mio Signore dice al suo servo?

Y el Príncipe del ejército de Jehová respondió á Josué: Quita tus zapatos de tus pies; porque el lugar donde estás es santo. Y Josué lo hizo así.

And the captain of the LORD’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

The prince of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals, for the place on which you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

Sciogli (diss'egli) i tuoi calzari da' tuoi piedi: perocché il luogo, dove tu stai, è santo. E Giosuè fece come gli era ordinato. Dopo averne fatto il giro per sette giorni coll'arca, la città di Gerico è presa, e distrutta da' fondamenti. Sola Rahab è salvata colla sua famiglia. Imprecazioni contro di chi riedifichi la città.
