6En effet, pendant quarante ans, les enfants d'Israël durent errer dans le désert jusqu'à l'extinction de toute cette engeance de gens de guerre, sortis de l'Egypte, pour n'avoir pas obéi à la voix de l'Éternel ; ce qui fit que l'Éternel leur jura qu'il ne leur permettrait pas de voir le pays que l'Éternel avait juré à leurs pères de nous donner, pays découlant de lait et de miel.

6Porque los hijos de Israel anduvieron por el desierto cuarenta años, hasta que toda la gente de los hombres de guerra que habían salido de Egipto, fué consumida, por cuanto no obedecieron á la voz de Jehová; por lo cual Jehová les juró que no les dejaría ver la tierra, de la cual Jehová había jurado á sus padres que nos la daría, tierra que fluye leche y miel.

6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they didn’t listen to the LORD’s voice. The LORD swore to them that he wouldn’t let them see the land which the LORD swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
