Cuando todas las personas cruzaron el Jordán, EL SEÑOR le dijo a Josué:
Y CUANDO toda la gente hubo acabado de pasar el Jordán, Jehová habló á Josué, diciendo:
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

"Elije doce hombres de entre el pueblo, un hombre de cada tribu.
Tomad del pueblo doce hombres, de cada tribu uno,
Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,
“Take twelve men out of the people, a man out of every tribe,
Dales este mandamiento: "Toma doce piedras del centro del Jordán, donde los sacerdotes están parados en el suelo seco, y llévalas contigo, y ponlas en el lugar donde pasarán la noche."
Y mandadles, diciendo: Tomaos de aquí del medio del Jordán, del lugar donde están firmes los pies de los sacerdotes, doce piedras, las cuales pasaréis con vosotros, y las asentaréis en el alojamiento donde habéis de tener la noche.
And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.
and command them, saying, ‘Take from out of the middle of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, carry them over with you, and lay them down in the place where you’ll camp tonight.’”
Luego, Josué llamó a los doce hombres que había seleccionado de las tribus de Israel, uno de cada tribu.
Entonces Josué llamó á los doce hombres, los cuales había él ordenado de entre los hijos de Israel, de cada tribu uno;

Josué les dijo: "Pasen delante del arca del SEÑOR su DIOS al centro del Jordán. Cada uno de ustedes levantará una piedra en su hombro, según el número de las tribus de las personas de Israel.
Y díjoles Josué: Pasad delante del arca de Jehová vuestro Dios al medio del Jordán; y cada uno de vosotros tome una piedra sobre su hombro, conforme al número de las tribus de los hijos de Israel;
And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
Joshua said to them, “Cross before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you pick up a stone and put it on your shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;
Esto servirá de señal, para cuando sus hijos les pregunten en los días que vendrán: '¿Qué significan estas piedras para ti?'
Para que esto sea señal entre vosotros; y cuando vuestros hijos preguntaren á sus padres mañana, diciendo: ¿Qué os significan estas piedras?
That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in the future, saying, ‘What do you mean by these stones?’
Entonces le dirás a ellos: 'Las aguas del Jordán fueron divididas ante el arca del pacto del SEÑOR. Cuando esta pasó sobre el Jordán, las aguas del Jordán fueron divididas. Así que estas piedras serán un altar a las personas de Israel para siempre".
Les responderéis: Que las aguas del Jordán fueron partidas delante del arca del pacto de Jehová; cuando ella pasó el Jordán, las aguas del Jordán se partieron: y estas piedras serán por memoria á los hijos de Israel para siempre.
Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
then you shall tell them, ‘Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the LORD’s covenant. When it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.’”
El pueblo de Israel hicieron como Josué les mandó, y ellos recogieron doce piedras del centro del Jordán, como EL SEÑOR le dijo a Josué. Ellos colocaron las piedras de acuerdo al numero de las tribus del pueblo de Israel. Llevaron las piedras con ellos al lugar donde acamparon y las dejaron ahí.
Y los hijos de Israel lo hicieron así como Josué les mandó: que levantaron doce piedras del medio del Jordán, como Jehová lo había dicho á Josué, conforme al número de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, y pasáronlas consigo al alojamiento, y las asentaron allí.

For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.

La tribu de Rubén, la tribu de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés pasaron delante del pueblo de Israel formados como un ejercito, así como Moisés les dijo.
También los hijos de Rubén y los hijos de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés, pasaron armados delante de los hijos de Israel, según Moisés les había dicho:

Cerca de cuarenta mil hombres equipados para la guerra, pasaron ante EL SEÑOR para la batalla en los llanos de Jericó.

En ese día EL SEÑOR hizo a Josué poderoso ante todos los ojos de todo Israel. Ellos lo respetaron, así como respetaron a Moisés- todos sus días.

Manda á los sacerdotes que llevan el arca del testimonio, que suban del Jordán.

Así que, Josué ordenó a los sacerdotes: "Salgan afuera del Jordán.''

Y aconteció que como los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, subieron del medio del Jordán, y las plantas de los pies de los sacerdotes estuvieron en seco, las aguas del Jordán se volvieron á su lugar, corriendo como antes sobre todos sus bordes.
And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.

El SEÑOR tu DIOS secó las aguas del Jordán para ti, hasta que tú cruzaras, así como ELSEÑOR tu DIOS le hizo al Mar de las Cañas (Mar Rojo), el cual Él secó por nosotros hasta que lo pasamos,
Porque Jehová vuestro Dios secó las aguas del Jordán delante de vosotros, hasta que habíais pasado, á la manera que Jehová vuestro Dios lo había hecho en el mar Bermejo, al cual secó delante de nosotros hasta que pasamos:
For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
