1Josua, der Sohn Nuns, aber sandte von Sittim heimlich zwei Männer als Kundschafter aus mit dem Auftrage: Geht hin und seht euch die Gegend um Jericho an! Da gingen sie hin und begaben sich in das Haus einer Buhlerin, Namens Rahab; dort legten sie sich schlafen.

1Y JOSUÉ, hijo de Nun, envió desde Sittim dos espías secretamente, diciéndoles: Andad, reconoced la tierra, y á Jericó. Los cuales fueron, y entráronse en casa de una mujer ramera que se llamaba Rahab, y posaron allí.

1And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.

1Joshua the son of Nun secretly sent two men out of Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, including Jericho.” They went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab, and slept there.
