1Als nun Josua alt und hochbetagt geworden war, sagte der HERR zu ihm: »Du bist nun alt und hochbetagt, und von dem Lande sind sehr viele Teile bisher noch unerobert geblieben.
2Dies ist das noch uneroberte Land: sämtliche Bezirke der Philister und das ganze Gesuriterland.
3Vom Sihorbach an, der östlich von Ägypten fließt, bis an das Gebiet von Ekron im Norden – es wird zum Gebiet der Kanaanäer gerechnet –: die fünf Fürsten der Philister, nämlich der von Gaza, der von Asdod, der von Askalon, der von Gath und der von Ekron, sowie die Awwiter im Süden;
4ferner das ganze Land der Kanaanäer und Meara, das den Sidoniern gehört, bis nach Aphek, bis an die Grenze der Amoriter;
5sodann das Land der Gibliter und der ganze Libanon östlichen Teils, von Baal-Gad am Fuß des Hermongebirges bis dahin, wo man nach Hamath kommt.
6Alle Gebirgsbewohner vom Libanon an bis Misrephoth-Majim, alle Sidonier, werde ich selbst vor den Israeliten her vertreiben; verlose es immerhin an Israel als Erbbesitz, wie ich dir geboten habe.
7So verteile also jetzt dieses Land als Erbbesitz an die neun Stämme und an den halben Stamm Manasse.«
8Mit dem andern halben Stamm Manasse nämlich hatten die Stämme Ruben und Gad ihren Erbbesitz bereits empfangen, den ihnen Mose im Ostjordanlande angewiesen hatte, wie ihn Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, ihnen angewiesen hatte:
9von Aroer an, das am Ufer des Flusses Arnon liegt, und überhaupt von den Städten an, die mitten im Flußtal liegen, dazu die ganze Hochebene von Medeba bis Dibon,
10ferner sämtliche Städte des Amoriterkönigs Sihon, der in Hesbon geherrscht hatte, bis an das Gebiet der Ammoniter;
11sodann Gilead und das Gebiet der Gesuriter und Maachathiter sowie das ganze Hermongebirge und ganz Basan bis nach Salcha,
12das ganze Reich Ogs in Basan, der in Astharoth und Edrei geherrscht hatte – er war vom Überrest der Rephaiter noch übriggeblieben –: diese hatte Mose besiegt und aus ihrem Besitz vertrieben.
13Die Israeliten dagegen haben die Gesuriter und Maachathiter nicht aus ihrem Besitz vertrieben, sondern diese beiden Völkerschaften sind mitten unter den Israeliten bis auf den heutigen Tag wohnen geblieben. –
14Nur dem Stamme Levi hatte (Mose) keinen Erbbesitz verliehen: die Feueropfer des HERRN, des Gottes der Israeliten, die sind dessen Erbbesitz, wie er ihm zugesagt hat.
15Mose hatte aber dem Stamme der Rubeniten Landbesitz nach ihren Geschlechtern angewiesen,
16so daß ihnen folgendes Gebiet zuteil wurde: das Gebiet von Aroer an, das am Ufer des Flusses Arnon liegt, und überhaupt von den Städten an, die mitten im Flußtal liegen, dazu die ganze Hochebene bis Medeba;
17Hesbon mit allen zugehörigen Ortschaften, die auf der Hochebene liegen, nämlich Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,
18Jahza, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19Kirjathaim, Sibma, Zereth-Sahar auf dem Berge in der Talebene,
20Beth-Peor, die Abhänge des Pisga, Beth-Jesimoth
21und alle übrigen Ortschaften der Hochebene; ferner das ganze Reich des Amoriterkönigs Sihon, der in Hesbon geherrscht hatte – Mose hatte ihn besiegt, ihn mitsamt den Fürsten der Midianiter, nämlich Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur und Reba, den Häuptlingen Sihons, die im Lande gewohnt hatten.
22Auch den Wahrsager Bileam, den Sohn Beors, hatten die Israeliten mit dem Schwert getötet außer den anderen von ihnen Erschlagenen.
23Die (westliche) Grenze des Stammes Ruben aber bildete der Jordan und sein Uferland. Dies war der Erbbesitz der Rubeniten nach ihren Geschlechtern: die genannten Städte mit den zugehörigen Gehöften.
24Sodann hatte Mose dem Stamme Gad, den Gaditen, Landbesitz nach ihren Geschlechtern angewiesen,
25so daß ihnen folgendes Gebiet zuteil wurde: Jaser und sämtliche Ortschaften in Gilead und das halbe Ammoniterland bis Aroer, das östlich von Rabba liegt;
26ferner das Land von Hesbon bis Ramath-Mizpe und Betonim und von Mahanaim bis an das Gebiet von Lidebir;
27sodann in der Talebene: Beth-haram, Beth-Nimra, Sukkoth und Zaphon, der Rest vom Reiche Sihons, des Königs von Hesbon, der Jordan mit seinem Uferland bis an das Ende des Sees Genezareth auf der Ostseite des Jordans.
28Das war der Erbbesitz der Gaditen nach ihren Geschlechtern, die genannten Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
29Ferner hatte Mose dem halben Stamm Manasse Landbesitz angewiesen, so daß dem halben Stamme der Manassiten nach ihren Geschlechtern folgendes Gebiet zuteil wurde:
30das Land von Mahanaim an, das ganze Basan, das ganze Reich Ogs, des Königs von Basan, und sämtliche Zeltdörfer Jairs, die in Basan liegen, sechzig Ortschaften;
31ferner die Hälfte von Gilead sowie Astaroth und Edrei, die Hauptstädte des Reiches Ogs in Basan. Dies alles wurde den Nachkommen Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses, und zwar der Hälfte der Nachkommen Machirs, nach ihren Geschlechtern zuteil.
32Diese Gebiete sind es, die Mose in den Steppen der Moabiter jenseits des Jordans, östlich von Jericho, ausgeteilt hatte.
33Dem Stamme Levi aber hatte Mose keinen Erbbesitz gegeben: der HERR, der Gott Israels, der sollte ihr Erbbesitz sein, wie er ihnen zugesagt hatte.

1Y SIENDO Josué ya viejo, entrado en días, Jehová le dijo: Tú eres ya viejo, de edad avanzada, y queda aún muy mucha tierra por poseer.
2Esta es la tierra que queda: todos los términos de los Philisteos, y toda Gessuri;
3Desde Sihor, que está delante de Egipto, hasta el término de Accarón al norte, repútase de los Cananeos: cinco provincias de los Philisteos; los Gazeos, Asdodios, Ascalonitas, Getheos, y Accaronitas; y los Heveos;
4Al mediodía toda la tierra de los Cananeos, y Mehara que es de los Sidonios, hasta Aphec, hasta el término del Amorrheo;
5Y la tierra de los Gibleos, y todo el Líbano hacia donde sale el sol, desde Baal-gad á las raíces del monte Hermón, hasta entrar en Hamath;
6Todos los que habitan en las montañas desde el Líbano hasta las aguas calientes, todos los Sidonios; yo los desarraigaré delante de lo hijos de Israel: solamente repartirás tú por suerte el país á los Israelitas por heredad, como te he mandado.
7Parte, pues, tú ahora esta tierra en heredad á las nueve tribus, y á la media tribu de Manasés.
8Porque la otra media recibió su heredad con los Rubenitas y Gaditas, la cual les dió Moisés de la otra parte del Jordán al oriente, según que se la dió Moisés siervo de Jehová:
9Desde Aroer, que está á la orilla del arroyo de Arnón, y la ciudad que está en medio del arroyo, y toda la campiña de Medeba, hasta Dibón;
10Y todas las ciudades de Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, el cual reinó en Hesbón, hasta los términos de los hijos de Ammón;
11Y Galaad, y los términos de Gessuri y de Maachâti, y todo el monte de Hermón, y toda la tierra de Basán hasta Salchâ:
12Todo el reino de Og en Basán, el cual reinó en Astaroth y Edrei, el cual había quedado del residuo de los Rapheos; pues Moisés los hirió, y echó.
13Mas á los de Gessuri y Maachâti no echaron los hijos de Israel; antes Gessur y Maachât habitaron entre los Israelitas hasta hoy.
14Empero á la tribu de Leví no dió heredad: los sacrificios de Jehová Dios de Israel son su heredad, como él les había dicho.
15Dió, pues, Moisés á la tribu de los hijos de Rubén conforme á sus familias:
16Y fué el término de ellos desde Aroer, que está á la orilla del arroyo de Arnón, y la ciudad que está en medio del arroyo, y toda la campiña, hasta Medeba;
17Hesbón, con todas sus villas que están en la llanura; Dibón, y Bamoth-baal, y Beth-baal-meón;
18Y Jaas, y Keddemoth, y Mephaath,
19Y Chîriataim, y Sibma, y Zerethshahar en el monte del valle;
20Y Beth-peor, y Asdoth-pisga, y Beth-jesimoth;
21Y todas las ciudades de la campiña, y todo el reino de Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, que reinó en Hesbón, al cual hirió Moisés, y á los príncipes de Madián, Hevi, Recem, y Sur, y Hur, y Reba, príncipes de Sehón que habitaban en aquella tierra.
22También mataron á cuchillo los hijos de Israel á Balaam adivino, hijo de Beor, con los demás que mataron.
23Y fueron los términos de los hijos de Rubén el Jordán con su término. Esta fué la herencia de los hijos de Rubén conforme á sus familias, estas ciudades con sus villas.
24Dió asimismo Moisés á la tribu de Gad, á los hijos de Gad, conforme á sus familias.
25Y el término de ellos fué Jacer, y todas las ciudades de Galaad, y la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Ammón hasta Aroer, que está delante de Rabba.
26Y desde Hesbón hasta Ramathmispe, y Betonim; y desde Mahanaim hasta el término de Debir:
27Y la campiña de Beth-aram, y Beth-nimra, y Sucoth, y Saphón, resto del reino de Sehón, rey en Hesbón: el Jordán y su término hasta el cabo de la mar de Cinnereth de la otra parte del Jordán al oriente.
28Esta es la herencia de los hijos de Gad, por sus familias, estas ciudades con sus villas.
29También dió Moisés herencia á la media tribu de Manasés: y fué de la media tribu de los hijos de Manasés, conforme á sus familias.
30El término de ellos fué desde Mahanaim, todo Basán, todo el reino de Og rey de Basán, y todas las aldeas de Jair que están en Basán, sesenta poblaciones.
31Dióse además la mitad de Galaad, y Astaroth, y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, á los hijos de Machîr, hijo de Manasés, á la mitad de los hijos de Machîr conforme á sus familias.
32Esto es lo que Moisés repartió en heredad en los llanos de Moab, de la otra parte del Jordán de Jericó, al oriente.
33Mas á la tribu de Leví no dió Moisés heredad: Jehová Dios de Israel es la heredad de ellos como él les había dicho.

1Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
4From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:
5And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
6All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
8With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;
9From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
10And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;
11And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
12All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.
13Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
14Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.
15And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.
16And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
17Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,
18And Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

22Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.
23And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
24And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.
25And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;
26And from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;
27And in the valley, Beth-aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
28This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.
29And Moses gave inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.
30And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:
31And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.
32These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the LORD God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.

1Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. The LORD said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.
2“This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites;
3from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward, which is counted as Canaanite; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim,
4on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;
5and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad under Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath;
6all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians. I will drive them out from before the children of Israel. Just allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
7Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
8With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them:
9from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba to Dibon;
10and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon;
11and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;
12all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (who was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses attacked these, and drove them out.
13Nevertheless the children of Israel didn’t drive out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath live within Israel to this day.
14Only he gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The offerings of the LORD, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spoke to him.
15Moses gave to the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families.
16Their border was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba;
17Heshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,
18Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
19Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth Shahar in the mount of the valley,
20Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth Jeshimoth,
21all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the chiefs of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who lived in the land.
22The children of Israel also killed Balaam the son of Beor, the soothsayer, with the sword, among the rest of their slain.
23The border of the children of Reuben was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and its villages.
24Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad, according to their families.
25Their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer that is near Rabbah;
26and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
27and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan’s bank, to the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.
28This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and its villages.
29Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh. It was for the half-tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families.
30Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the villages of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.
31Half Gilead, Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the children of Machir according to their families.
32These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward.
33But Moses gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spoke to them.
