40So unterwarf Josua das ganze Land, nämlich das Bergland und das Südland, die Niederung und das Hügelland samt allen ihren Königen, ohne auch nur einen einzigen übrigzulassen; und an allem Lebenden vollstreckte er den Bann, wie der HERR, der Gott Israels, geboten hatte.
