40So bezwang Josue das ganze Land, das Bergland, das Südland, die Niederung und das Hügelland mit all ihren Königen. Keinen hatte er entkommen lassen. Alles Lebende hatte er gebannt, wie der Herr, Israels Gott, befohlen hatte.
