39Er nahm die Stadt ein samt ihrem König und allen zugehörigen Ortschaften; und sie schlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwertes und vollzogen an der gesamten Einwohnerschaft den Bann, ohne einen einzigen zu verschonen; wie er es mit Hebron gemacht hatte und wie er mit Libna und dem dortigen König verfahren war, ebenso machte er es auch mit Debir und dem dortigen König.
