De esta manera, Josué capturó Maceda en ese día y mató a todos allí con espada, incluyendo a su rey. Los destruyó completamente y a toda criatura viviente allí. No dejó ningún sobreviviente. Le hizo al rey de Maceda, así como él le había hecho al rey de Jericó.
En aquel mismo día tomó Josué á Maceda, y la puso á cuchillo, y mató á su rey; á ellos y á todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin quedar nada: mas al rey de Maceda hizo como había hecho al rey de Jericó.
And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.
Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
