28Josua eroberte dann an jenem Tage noch Makkeda und schlug es mit der Schärfe des Schwertes, indem er am dortigen König, an der Stadt und der gesamten Einwohnerschaft den Bann vollstreckte; er verschonte keinen einzigen von ihnen und verfuhr mit dem König von Makkeda, wie er mit dem König von Jericho verfahren war. –

28En aquel mismo día tomó Josué á Maceda, y la puso á cuchillo, y mató á su rey; á ellos y á todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin quedar nada: mas al rey de Maceda hizo como había hecho al rey de Jericó.

28And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.

28Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
