28Und Josua nahm an jenem Tage Makkeda ein und schlug es mit der Schärfe des Schwertes; und seinen König, die Stadt und alle Seelen, die darin waren, verbannte er: er ließ keinen Entronnenen übrig; und er tat dem König von Makkeda, so wie er dem König von Jericho getan hatte. -

28And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.

28Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
