2Il pria le SEIGNEUR et dit : « Ah ! SEIGNEUR, n'était-ce pas ce que je disais quand j'étais encore dans mon pays ? C'est pourquoi je me suis hâté de fuir vers Tarsis, car je savais que tu es un Dieu plein de grâce et de miséricorde, lent à la colère et riche en amour fidèle, et qui renonces à envoyer le malheur.

2Y oró á Jehová, y dijo: Ahora, oh Jehová, ¿no es esto lo que yo decía estando aún en mi tierra? Por eso me precaví huyendo á Tarsis: porque sabía yo que tú eres Dios clemente y piadoso, tardo á enojarte, y de grande misericordia, y que te arrepientes del mal.

2And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

World English Bible

2He prayed to the LORD, and said, “Please, LORD, wasn’t this what I said when I was still in my own country? Therefore I hurried to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and you relent of doing harm.
