Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
"¿Hasta cuándo dirás tú estas cosas? ¿Hasta cuándo las palabras de tu boca serán viento poderoso?
¿Hasta cuándo hablarás tales cosas, y las palabras de tu boca serán como un viento fuerte?
How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
¿Pervierte Dios la justicia? ¿Pervierte el Todopoderoso la rectitud?
¿Acaso pervertirá Dios el derecho, ó el Todopoderoso pervertirá la justicia?
Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?
Tus hijos han pecado contra Él; nosotros sabemos esto, por cuanto Él los entregó en las manos de sus pecados.
Si tus hijos pecaron contra él, él los echó en el lugar de su pecado.
If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.
Pero supón que tú diligentemente buscaste a Dios y presentaste tu pedido al Todopoderoso.
Si tú de mañana buscares á Dios, y rogares al Todopoderoso;
If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.
Si tú eres puro y recto, entonces Él seguramente se moveriá a tu favor y te restaurariá a tu justo lugar.
Si fueres limpio y derecho, cierto luego se despertará sobre ti, y hará próspera la morada de tu justicia.
If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
Aunque tu comienzo fue pequeño, aún así tu condición final sería más grande.
Y tu principio habrá sido pequeño, y tu postrimería acrecerá en gran manera.
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.
Por favor, pregunta a las generaciones pasadas, y dale tu atención a lo que nuestros ancestros aprendieron.
Porque pregunta ahora á la edad pasada, y disponte para inquirir de sus padres de ellos;
For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers.
(Nosotros solo nacimos ayer y nada sabemos porque nuestros días en la tierra son una sombra).
Pues nosotros somos de ayer, y no sabemos, siendo nuestros días sobre la tierra como sombra.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.)
¿No te enseñarán ellos y te dirán? ¿No hablarán palabras de sus corazones?
¿No te enseñarán ellos, te dirán, y de su corazón sacarán palabras?
Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart?
¿Puede el papiro crecer sin pantano? ¿Pueden las cañas crecer sin agua?
¿Crece el junco sin lodo? ¿crece el prado sin agua?
Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water?
Mientras ellas aún están verdes y no cortadas, ellas se marchitan antes que cualquier otra planta.
Aun él en su verdor no será cortado, y antes de toda hierba se secará.
Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed.
Así tambien son los senderos de todos los que se olvidan de Dios, la esperanza de los impíos perecerá.
Tales son los caminos de todos los que olvidan á Dios: y la esperanza del impío perecerá:
So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man will perish,
Su confianza se romperá, y su seguridad es tan débil como una telaraña.
Porque su esperanza será cortada, y su confianza es casa de araña.
Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.
whose confidence will break apart, whose trust is a spider’s web.
El se recuesta sobre su casa, pero ella no le sostendrá; él la agarra, pero ésta no se sostiene.
Apoyaráse él sobre su casa, mas no permanecerá en pie; atendráse á ella, mas no se afirmará.
He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
He will lean on his house, but it will not stand. He will cling to it, but it will not endure.
Debajo del sol él es verde, y sus brotes salen sobre todo su jardín.
A manera de un árbol, está verde delante del sol, y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;
He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
He is green before the sun. His shoots go out along his garden.
Sus raíces están entrelazadas alrededor de montones de piedras; ellas buscan buenos lugares entre las rocas.
Vanse entretejiendo sus raíces junto á una fuente, y enlazándose hasta un lugar pedregoso.
His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones.
Pero si esta persona es destruída fuera de su lugar, entonces ese lugar lo negará y dirá: 'Yo nunca te vi.'
Si le arrancaren de su lugar, éste negarále entonces, diciendo: Nunca te vi.
If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’
Mira, este es el "gozo" de la conducta de tal persona; otras plantas germinarán de la misma tierra en su lugar.
Ciertamente éste será el gozo de su camino; y de la tierra de donde se traspusiere, nacerán otros.
Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
Behold, this is the joy of his way. Out of the earth, others will spring.
Mira, Dios no desechará a un hombre inocente; tampoco tomará la mano de malhechores.
He aquí, Dios no aborrece al perfecto, ni toma la mano de los malignos.
Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.
Él aún llenará tu boca de risa, tus labios con gritos de júbilo.
Aun henchirá tu boca de risa, y tus labios de júbilo.
Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.
Aquellos que te odian serán vestidos de vergüenza; la tienda de los malvados ya no será más.
Los que te aborrecen, serán vestidos de confusión; y la habitación de los impíos perecerá.
They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked will be no more.”
