¿Puedes tú sacar al Leviatán con un anzuelo? O, ¿amarrar sus quijadas con una cuerda?
¿SACARÁS tú al leviathán con el anzuelo, ó con la cuerda que le echares en su lengua?
Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
“Can you draw out Leviathan with a fish hook, or press down his tongue with a cord?
¿Puedes poner una soga en su nariz, o perforar su quijada con un anzuelo?
¿Pondrás tú garfio en sus narices, y horadarás con espinas su quijada?
Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
Can you put a rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
¿Hará él muchos ruegos a ti? ¿Hablará él palabras suaves a ti?
¿Multiplicará él ruegos para contigo? ¿hablaráte él lisonjas?
Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

¿Hará él un pacto contigo, para que tú debas tomarlo a él por un sirviente para siempre?
