Hinter ihm her brüllt der Donner; / er donnert mit seiner majestätischen Stimme, / und er hält die Blitze nicht zurück, wenn seine Stimme gehört wird. /
Después de ella bramará el sonido, tronará él con la voz de su magnificencia; y aunque sea oída su voz, no los detiene.
After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
Gott donnert wunderbar mit seiner Stimme, / tut grosse Dinge, die wir nicht verstehen. /
Tronará Dios maravillosamente con su voz; él hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.
God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Denn dem Schnee gebeut er: "Falle zur Erde!" / dem Guss und Regen: "Werdet mächtig!" /
Porque á la nieve dice: Desciende á la tierra; también á la llovizna, y á los aguaceros de su fortaleza.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Así hace retirarse á todo hombre, para que los hombres todos reconozcan su obra.
He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

Vom Hauche Gottes gibt es Eis, / und die weiten Wasser liegen in Haft. /
Por el soplo de Dios se da el hielo, y las anchas aguas son constreñidas.
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Auch mit Hagel belastet er das Gewölk, / die Wolke streut seinen Blitz aus, /
Regando también llega á disipar la densa nube, y con su luz esparce la niebla.
Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
und der zuckt hin und her, wie er ihn steuert, / dass sie alles verrichten, was er ihnen befiehlt, / über den ganzen Erdkreis hin, /
Asimismo por sus designios se revuelven las nubes en derredor, para hacer sobre la haz del mundo, en la tierra, lo que él les mandara.
And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
sei es als Rute und zum Fluche, / sei's, dass er ihn zum Segen kommen lässt. /
Unas veces por azote, otras por causa de su tierra, otras por misericordia las hará parecer.

Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

Begreifst du auch das Schweben des Gewölks, / die Wunder dessen, der vollkommen ist an Weisheit? /

Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

Du, dessen Kleider heiss sind, / wenn die Erde still liegt unterm Südwind, /
¿Por qué están calientes tus vestidos cuando se fija el viento del mediodía sobre la tierra?
How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
You whose clothing is warm when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?
breitest du mit ihm den Himmel, / der fest ist wie ein gegossener Spiegel? /
¿Extendiste tú con él los cielos, firmes como un espejo sólido?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
Belehre uns, was wir ihm sagen sollen; / wir können nichts vorbringen vor Finsternis. /
Muéstranos qué le hemos de decir; porque nosotros no podemos componer las ideas á causa de las tinieblas.
Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
Teach us what we will tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.

Von Norden her kommt heller Glanz; / von hehrer Majestät ist Gott umflossen, /
Viniendo de la parte del norte la dorada claridad. En Dios hay una majestad terrible.
Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.
ihn selbst, den Allmächtigen, finden wir nicht. / Gross an Kraft und reich an Gerechtigkeit, / wird er das Recht nicht beugen. /
El es Todopoderoso, al cual no alcanzamos, grande en potencia; y en juicio y en multitud de justicia no afligirá.
Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
Darum sollen ihn die Menschen fürchten; / alle, die sich weise dünken, sieht er nicht an.
Temerlo han por tanto los hombres: él no mira á los sabios de corazón.
Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”
