Y PROCEDIENDO Eliú en su razonamiento, dijo:
Elihu spake moreover, and said,
Moreover Elihu answered,
Sembra a te forse giusto quel tuo pensamento quando dicesti: Io son più giusto che Dio?
¿Piensas ser conforme á derecho esto que dijiste: Más justo soy yo que Dios?
Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?
“Do you think this to be your right, or do you say, ‘My righteousness is more than God’s,’
Perocché tu dicesti: Non piace a te quello, che è retto, o che gioverà a te se io fo del male?
Porque dijiste: ¿Qué ventaja sacarás tú de ello? ¿ó qué provecho tendré de mi pecado?
For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
that you ask, ‘What advantage will it be to you? What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?’
Io pertanto risponderò alle tue parole, e a' tuoi amici insieme con te.
Yo te responderé razones, y á tus compañeros contigo.
I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
I will answer you, and your companions with you.
Alza gli occhi al cielo, e mira in contemplando l'etere come quegli è più alto di te.
Mira á los cielos, y ve, y considera que las nubes son más altas que tú.
Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
Look to the skies, and see. See the skies, which are higher than you.
Se tu peccherai, qual danno farai a lui; e moltiplicando i tuoi delitti, che farai tu contro di lui?
Si pecares, ¿qué habrás hecho contra él? y si tus rebeliones se multiplicaren, ¿qué le harás tú?
If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
If you have sinned, what effect do you have against him? If your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
Che se opererai giustamente, che donerai a lui, o che riceverà egli dalla tua mano?
Si fueres justo, ¿qué le darás á él? ¿ó qué recibirá de tu mano?
If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive from your hand?
A un uomo simile a te nuocerà la tua empietà, e al figliuolo dell'uomo sarà utile la tua giustizia.
Al hombre como tú dañará tu impiedad, y al hijo del hombre aprovechará tu justicia.
Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are, and your righteousness may profit a son of man.
Alzeran quelli le strida contro la moltitudine de'calunniatori, e urleranno oppressi dalla potenza dei tiranni.
A causa de la multitud de las violencias clamarán, y se lamentarán por el poderío de los grandes.
By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,
Il quale e fa noi più sapienti degli animali della terra, e ci da senno più che agli uccelli dell'aria.
Que nos enseña más que á las bestias de la tierra, y nos hace sabios más que las aves del cielo?
Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
who teaches us more than the animals of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?’
Allora alzeranno le strida a cagione della superbia de' malvag], ed ei non gli esaudirà.
Allí clamarán, y él no oirá, por la soberbia de los malos.
There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

Non invano adunque il Signore udirà, e mirerà l'Onnipotente la causa di ciascheduno.

Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

Anche quando tu avrai detto: Ei non pon mente; giudica te medesimo dinanzi a lui, e aspettalo:
Aunque más digas, No lo mirará; haz juicio delante de él, y en él espera.
Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
How much less when you say you don’t see him. The cause is before him, and you wait for him!
Perocché non adesso egli esercita il suo furore, e non punisce a rigore i delitti.
Mas ahora, porque en su ira no visita, ni conoce con rigor, por eso Job abrió su boca vanamente, y multiplica palabras sin sabiduría.
But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
But now, because he has not visited in his anger, neither does he greatly regard arrogance,
Invano adunque ha Giobbe aperta la bocca, e non rifina di parlare da ignorante. Eliu sostiene l'equità del divino giudizio, il quale percuote per istruire, parla per far tornare l’uomo a se, e se torna lo libera da' flagelli. Esorta pertanto Giobbe a ravvedersi, promettendogli tutte le felicità.
