POR tanto, Job, oye ahora mis razones, y escucha todas mis palabras.
Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
“However, Job, please hear my speech, and listen to all my words.
Apro adesso la mia bocca, la mia lingua articola le voci sotto del mio palato.
He aquí yo abriré ahora mi boca, y mi lengua hablará en mi garganta.
Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
See now, I have opened my mouth. My tongue has spoken in my mouth.
I miei parlari verranno da cuore schietto, e le mie labbra proferiranno sentimenti di verità.
Mis razones declararán la rectitud de mi corazón, y mis labios proferirán pura sabiduría.
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
My words will utter the uprightness of my heart. That which my lips know they will speak sincerely.
Lo spirito di Dio mi creò, e il soffio dell'Onnipotente mi diede la vita.
El espíritu de Dios me hizo, y la inspiración del Omnipotente me dió vida.

Rispondimi se potrai, e contraddicimi in faccia.
Si pudieres, respóndeme; dispón tus palabras, está delante de mí.

Tu vedi, che me come te fece Dio, e che io pure fui formato del medesimo fango.
Heme aquí á mí en lugar de Dios, conforme á tu dicho: de lodo soy yo también formado.
Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.
Behold, I am toward God even as you are. I am also formed out of the clay.
Ma i miei prodigj non ti recheranno terrore, né ti sbalordirà la mia eloquenza.
He aquí que mi terror no te espantará, ni mi mano se agravará sobre ti.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
Behold, my terror will not make you afraid, neither will my pressure be heavy on you.
Tu adunque di mia sentita dicesti, e il suono di queste parole fu udito da me:
De cierto tú dijiste á oídos míos, y yo oí la voz de tus palabras que decían:
Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,
“Surely you have spoken in my hearing, I have heard the voice of your words, saying,
Mondo son io, e senza reato; immacolato, e scevro di iniquità.
Yo soy limpio y sin defecto; y soy inocente, y no hay maldad en mí.
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
‘I am clean, without disobedience. I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me.
Perché ha trovate querele contro di me, per questo mi ha riguardata come suo nimico.
He aquí que él buscó achaques contra mí, y me tiene por su enemigo;
Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
Behold, he finds occasions against me. He counts me for his enemy.
Ha posti ne' ceppi i miei piedi ha osservati tutti imiei andamenti.
Puso mis pies en el cepo, y guardó todas mis sendas.
He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

In questo adunque tu non se' stato giusto: io ti risponderò, che Dio è più grande dell'uomo.
He aquí en esto no has hablado justamente: yo te responderé que mayor es Dios que el hombre.
Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
“Behold, I will answer you. In this you are not just, for God is greater than man.
Con lui tu vieni a contesa, perché egli non ha risposto a tutte le tue parole?
¿Por qué tomaste pleito contra él? Porque él no da cuenta de ninguna de sus razones.
Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
Why do you strive against him, because he doesn’t give account of any of his matters?
Dio parla una volta, e la stessa cosa non ripete due volte.
Sin embargo, en una ó en dos maneras habla Dios; mas el hombre no entiende.
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention.
In sogno, con notturne visioni, quando gli uomini vinti dal sonno riposano ne' loro letti,
Por sueño de visión nocturna, cuando el sueño cae sobre los hombres, cuando se adormecen sobre el lecho;
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

Allora egli apre agli uomini le orecchie, e gli istruisce, e li corregge,
Entonces revela al oído de los hombres, y les señala su consejo;

Egli parimente lo corregge nel letto co' dolori, e fa marcir le sue ossa.
También sobre su cama es castigado con dolor fuerte en todos sus huesos,
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:
“He is chastened also with pain on his bed, with continual strife in his bones,
In questo suo stato egli ha in orrore il pane, e il cibo una volta si grato al suo appetito.
Que le hace que su vida aborrezca el pan, y su alma la comida suave.
So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

La carne di lui si va consumando, e le ossa prima ascose rimangono scoperte.

Egli si avvicina alla corruzione, e la sua vita da tutti i segni di morte.

Se uno delle migliaia di Angeli per lui parlerà, e lo istruirà de' doveri dell'uomo,
Si tuviera cerca de él algún elocuente anunciador muy escogido, que anuncie al hombre su deber;
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
“If there is beside him an angel, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him,
Egli avrà compassione di lui, e dirà: Salvalo dal cadere nella corruzione: ho trovato motivo onde averne pietà.
Que le diga que Dios tuvo de él misericordia, que lo libró de descender al sepulcro, que halló redención:
Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
then God is gracious to him, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.’
La sua carne è stata consunta dai malori: ch'ei ritorni come ne' giorni di sua giovinezza.
Enterneceráse su carne más que de niño, volverá á los días de su mocedad.
His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth:

Egli porgerà a Dio sue preghiere; e questi con lui si placherà, è con lieta faccia lo mirerà, e renderà all'uomo la sua giustizia.
Orará á Dios, y le amará, y verá su faz con júbilo: y él restituirá al hombre su justicia.
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.
E rivolto agli uomini dirà egli: Io peccai, e prevaricai veramente, e non fui punito com'io meritava.
El mira sobre los hombres; y el que dijere: Pequé, y pervertí lo recto, y no me ha aprovechado;
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
He sings before men, and says, ‘I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn’t profit me.
Egli ha liberata l'anima sua dal cader nella morte, e viverà, e goderà della luce:
Dios redimirá su alma, que no pase al sepulcro, y su vida se verá en luz.
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit. My life will see the light.’
Così Dio tutte queste cose fa per tre volte con ciascheduno:
He aquí, todas estas cosas hace Dios dos y tres veces con el hombre;
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
“Behold, God does all these things, twice, yes three times, with a man,
Per richiamare le anime loro dalla corruzione, e rischiararle colla luce de' viventi.
Para apartar su alma del sepulcro, y para iluminarlo con la luz de los vivientes.
To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

Pon mente, o Giobbe, e ascoltami, e taci mentre io parlo.
Escucha, Job, y óyeme; calla, y yo hablaré.
Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

Che se qualche cosa hai da dire rispondimi, e parla; perocché io desidero, che tu comparisca giusto.
Que si tuvieres razones, respóndeme: habla, porque yo te quiero justificar.
If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.
If you have anything to say, answer me. Speak, for I desire to justify you.
Ma se non hai nulla, ascoltami: taci, e ti insegnerò la saggezza. Eliu nuovamente dalle parole di Giobbe lo accusa di bestemmia, e di altri delitti, mostrando l'equità del divino giudizio, e come alla potenza, e scienza di lui tutte le cose sono soggette.
Y si no, óyeme tú á mí; calla, y enseñarte he sabiduría.
If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
If not, listen to me. Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”
