Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

E si adirò eziandio cogli amici di lui, perché non avean saputo trovare risposta conveniente, ma solo avean condannato Giobbe.
Enojóse asimismo con furor contra sus tres amigos, porque no hallaban qué responder, aunque habían condenado á Job.

E fintantoché io credetti, che voi foste per dir qualche cosa, stetti sullo mie; ma per quanto veggo nissun di voi può riconvenir Giobbe, né rispondere alle sue parole.
Os he pues prestado atención, y he aquí que no hay de vosotros quien redarguya á Job, y responda á sus razones.
Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.
Né mi state a dire: Noi abbiam trovato il gran punto: egli è Dio, e non un uomo colui che l'ha riprovato.
Porque no digáis: Nosotros hemos hallado sabiduría: lanzólo Dios, no el hombre.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom. God may refute him, not man;’
Egli non ha detta parola a me, ed io non risponderò a lui a tenore de' vostri ragionamenti.
Ahora bien, Job no enderezó á mí sus palabras, ni yo le responderé con vuestras razones.
Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.

Costoro si sono intimiditi, non han più data risposta, si sono ammutoliti.

Perocché non so io quanto tempo ancor durerò, e se dopo breve spazio verrà a prendermi il mio Creatore. Dalle parole di Giobbe Eliu tenta di provare, che egli non è giusto, e insegna in qual modo parli Dio all'uomo per istruirlo, e riprenderlo, e come sia propizio a chi si ravvede.
Porque no sé hablar lisonjas: de otra manera en breve mi Hacedor me consuma.
