Soggiunse di poi Giobbe, e ripigliando la sua parabola, disse:
Y REASUMIÓ Job su discurso, y dijo:
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

Viva Iddio, il quale ha abbandonata la causa mia, e l'Onnipotente, il quale ha immersa nell'afflizione l'anima mia;
Vive Dios, el cual ha apartado mi causa, y el Omnipotente, que amargó el alma mía,
As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter
Fino a tanto che fiato mi resterà, o il soffio di Dio in me spirerà,
Que todo el tiempo que mi alma estuviere en mí, y hubiere hálito de Dios en mis narices,
All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
(for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);
Le labbra mie non parleranno contro giustizia, nè menzogne inventerà la mia lingua.
Mis labios no hablarán iniquidad, ni mi lengua pronunciará engaño.
My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
surely my lips will not speak unrighteousness, neither will my tongue utter deceit.
Non sia mai che giusti io vi creda: finché io avrò vita, non lascerò in abbandono la mia innocenza.
Nunca tal acontezca que yo os justifique: hasta morir no quitaré de mí mi integridad.
God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
Non rinunzierò alla giustizia, ch'io presi a custodire; perocché di tutta la mia vita non sento rimprovero nel cuor mio.
Mi justicia tengo asida, y no la cederé: no me reprochará mi corazón en el tiempo de mi vida.
My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.
Sia come empio il mio nimico, e il mio avversario sia come iniquo.
Sea como el impío mi enemigo, y como el inicuo mi adversario.
Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

Imperocché qual resta speranza all'ipocrita, se dopo le avare sue rapine non libera Dio l'anima di lui?
Porque ¿cuál es la esperanza del hipócrita, por mucho que hubiere robado, cuando Dios arrebatare su alma?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
E forse che Dio ascolterà le suo grida quando piomberà sopra di lui l'afflizione?
¿Oirá Dios su clamor cuando la tribulación sobre él viniere?
Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?
O potrà egli trovar consolazione nell'Onnipotente, e invocare Dio in qualunque tempo?
¿Deleitaráse en el Omnipotente? ¿invocará á Dios en todo tiempo?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?
Insegnerò a voi coll'aiuto di Dio consiglj dell'Onnipotente, non ve li nasconderò.
Yo os enseñaré en orden á la mano de Dios: no esconderé lo que hay para con el Omnipotente.
I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
I will teach you about the hand of God. I will not conceal that which is with the Almighty.
Ma voi tutti ne siete informati; e perché adunque vi perdete inutilmente in vani discorsi.
He aquí que todos vosotros lo habéis visto: ¿por qué pues os desvanecéis con fantasía?
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?
Ecco qual sarà la sorte, che avra da Dio l'uomo empio, e il retaggio, che sarà assegnato dall'Onnipotente agli uomini violenti.
Esta es para con Dios la suerte del hombre impío, y la herencia que los violentos han de recibir del Omnipotente.
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

Se molti saranno i suoi figliuoli, saranno abbandonati alla spada, e i suoi nipoti non avran pane da satollarsi.
Si sus hijos fueren multiplicados, serán para el cuchillo; y sus pequeños no se hartarán de pan;
If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
Quelli che resteran di sua stirpe saran sepolti prima che morti, e le vedove di lui non faran duolo.
Los que le quedaren, en muerte serán sepultados; y no llorarán sus viudas.
Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.
Se egli avrà, ammassato come terra l'argento, e come fango avrà preparate delle vestimenta:
Si amontonare plata como polvo, y si preparare ropa como lodo;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

Egli veramente le preparerà, ma si vestirà di quelle il giusto, e l'argento sarà distribuito dall'innocente.
Habrála él preparado, mas el justo se vestirá, y el inocente repartirá la plata.

Ei si fabbricò, qual figliuola, una casa, e una capanna, come fa il guardiano di una vigna.

Addormentato che siasi il ricco, non porterà nulla seco; aprirà gli occhi suoi, e si troverà senza niente.
El rico dormirá, mas no será recogido: abrirá sus ojos, mas él no será.
The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
He lies down rich, but he will not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
Una piena di miserie lo inonderà; sarà oppresso da notturna tempesta.
Asirán de él terrores como aguas: torbellino lo arrebatará de noche.
Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.
Un vento avvampante lo investirà, quasi turbine lo porterà lungi dalla sua sede.
Lo antecogerá el solano, y partirá; y tempestad lo arrebatará del lugar suyo.
The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

E Dio si getterà sopra di lui, e non avranne pietà; ed ei tenterà di fuggire dalle sue mani.
Dios pues descargará sobre él, y no perdonará: hará él por huir de su mano.
For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand.
Chi getterà lo sguardo sul luogo dov'egli stava, batterà palma a palma, e faragli delle fischiate. Giobbe ebbe cura dell'innocenza, anche perchè ell'è l'unica via per conseguir la sapienza, la quale dimostra essere più pregevole dell'oro, sì per la sua origine, e sì per la sua dignità; che a Dio sono manifestissime le più occulte cose della natura, e che la sapienza si dà dal cielo, non si compera coll'oro; della qual sapienza una particella si comunica mediante il timor di Dio.
