1Then Baldad the Suhite answered by saying:
2Power and terror are with him that makes a pact with those in high places.
3Is there any limit to the number of his soldiers or to the number of those over whom his light rises?
4Is it right for man to compare himself to God, or to appear pure though he is born of woman?
5Behold, even the moon is not radiant, and the stars are not pure, in his sight.
6Is man much more than rottenness and the son of man much more than worms?

2El señorío y el temor están con él: él hace paz en sus alturas.
3¿Tienen sus ejércitos número? ¿y sobre quién no está su luz?
4¿Cómo pues se justificará el hombre con Dios? ¿y cómo será limpio el que nace de mujer?
5He aquí que ni aun la misma luna será resplandeciente, ni las estrellas son limpias delante de sus ojos:
6¿Cuánto menos el hombre que es un gusano, y el hijo de hombre, también gusano?

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
3Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
4How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
