"¿Puede un hombre ser útil para Dios? ¿Puede un hombre sabio ser útil para Él?
¿Traerá el hombre provecho á Dios, porque el sabio sea provechoso á sí mismo?
Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
“Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.
¿Es de placer para el Todopoderoso si eres recto? ¿Es de ganancia para Él si haces tus caminos sin culpa?
¿Tiene su contentamiento el Omnipotente en que tú seas justificado, ó provecho de que tú hagas perfectos tus caminos?
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or does it benefit him that you make your ways perfect?
¿Es a causa de tu reverencia hacia Él que te reprende y te lleva a juicio?
¿Castigaráte acaso, ó vendrá contigo á juicio porque te teme?
Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
Is it for your piety that he reproves you, that he enters with you into judgment?
¿No es tu maldad grande? ¿No hay fin a tus iniquidades?
Por cierto tu malicia es grande, y tus maldades no tienen fin.
Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
Isn’t your wickedness great? Neither is there any end to your iniquities.
Pues tú has demandado garantía de un préstamo de tu hermano sin razón y has quitado ropa de los desnudos.
Porque sacaste prenda á tus hermanos sin causa, é hiciste desnudar las ropas de los desnudos.
For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
For you have taken pledges from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
Tú no has dado agua a la gente cansada para que beba; has retenido pan de la gente hambrienta
No diste de beber agua al cansado, y detuviste el pan al hambriento.
Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
You haven’t given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.
aunque tú, un hombre fuerte, poseíste la tierra, aunque tú, un hombre de honor, viviste en ella.
Empero el hombre pudiente tuvo la tierra; y habitó en ella el distinguido.
But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.

Has echado a las viudas lejos y sin nada; los brazos de los huérfanos han sido rotos.

Por lo tanto, hay trampas a tu alrededor, y el miedo repentino te aflige.

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

Hay oscuridad, para que no puedas ver; una abundancia de aguas te cubre.
O tinieblas, porque no veas; y abundancia de agua te cubre.
Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

¿No está Dios en las alturas del cielo? ¡Mira la altura de las estrellas, cuán alto están!
¿No está Dios en la altura de los cielos? Mira lo encumbrado de las estrellas, cuán elevadas están.
Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
“Isn’t God in the heights of heaven? See the height of the stars, how high they are!
Tú dices, '¿Qué sabe Dios? ¿Puede Él juzgar a través de la espesa oscuridad?
¿Y dirás tú: Qué sabe Dios? ¿cómo juzgará por medio de la oscuridad?
And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
You say, ‘What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?
Las nubes espesas son una cobertura para Él para que no nos vea; Él camina en la bóveda del cielo.'
Las nubes son su escondedero, y no ve; y por el circuito del cielo se pasea.
Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he doesn’t see. He walks on the vault of the sky.’
Guardarás el antiguo camino que los hombres malvados han caminado-
¿Quieres tú guardar la senda antigua, que pisaron los hombres perversos?
Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
Will you keep the old way, which wicked men have trodden,
aquellos que fueron arrebatados antes de su tiempo, aquellos cuyos cimientos se han eliminado como un río,
Los cuales fueron cortados antes de tiempo, cuyo fundamento fué como un río derramado:
Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,
aquellos que dijeron a Dios: 'Apártate de nosotros;' aquellos que dijeron: '¿Qué nos puede hacer el Todopoderoso a nosotros?'
Que decían á Dios: Apártate de nosotros. ¿Y qué les había hecho el Omnipotente?
Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
who said to God, ‘Depart from us!’ and, ‘What can the Almighty do for us?’
Sin embargo, Él llenó sus casas de cosas buenas; los planes de la gente malvada están lejos de mí.
Habíales él henchido sus casas de bienes. Sea empero el consejo de ellos lejos de mí.
Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

La gente recta ve su destino y está alegre; la gente inocente se ríe de ellos con desdén.
Verán los justos y se gozarán; y el inocente los escarnecerá, diciendo:
The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

Ellos dicen: 'Seguramente aquellos que se levantaron en contra de nosotros son cortados; el fuego ha consumido sus posesiones.'
Fué cortada nuestra sustancia, habiendo consumido el fuego el resto de ellos.
Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
saying, ‘Surely those who rose up against us are cut off. The fire has consumed their remnant.’
Ahora ponte de acuerdo con Dios y ten paz con Él; de esa manera, el bien vendrá a ti.
Amístate ahora con él, y tendrás paz; y por ello te vendrá bien.
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
“Acquaint yourself with him now, and be at peace. By it, good will come to you.
Recibe, te suplico, instrucciones de Su boca; guarda Sus palabras en tu corazón.
Toma ahora la ley de su boca, y pon sus palabras en tu corazón.
Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
Please receive instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart.
Si regresas al Todopoderoso, serás edificado, si pones la injusticia lejos de tus tiendas.
Si te tornares al Omnipotente, serás edificado; alejarás de tu tienda la aflicción;
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up, if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents.
Deposita tu tesoro en el polvo, el oro de Ofir entre las piedras de los arroyos,
Y tendrás más oro que tierra, y como piedras de arroyos oro de Ophir;
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
Lay your treasure in the dust, the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.
y el Todopoderoso será tu tesoro, plata preciosa para ti.
Y el Todopoderoso será tu defensa, y tendrás plata á montones.
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
The Almighty will be your treasure, and precious silver to you.
Pues entonces tendrás placer en el Todopoderoso; levantarás tu rostro a Dios.
Porque entonces te deleitarás en el Omnipotente, y alzarás á Dios tu rostro.
For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
For then you will delight yourself in the Almighty, and will lift up your face to God.
Harás tu oración a Él y Él te escuchará; pagarás tus votos a Él.
Orarás á él, y él te oirá; y tú pagarás tus votos.
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You will pay your vows.
Tú también decretarás cualquier cosa y será confirmada para ti; la luz brillará en tus caminos.
Determinarás asimismo una cosa, y serte ha firme; y sobre tus caminos resplandecerá luz.
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
You will also decree a thing, and it will be established to you. Light will shine on your ways.
Dios humilla a un hombre orgulloso y salva al que tiene sus ojos bajos.
Cuando fueren abatidos, dirás tú: Ensalzamiento habrá: y Dios salvará al humilde de ojos.
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
When they cast down, you will say, ‘be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.
Él rescatará hasta al hombre que no es inocente; quien será rescatado a través de la limpieza de tus manos."
El libertará la isla del inocente; y por la limpieza de tus manos será librada.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”
